We are in there for a little while exploring everything they had to offer. Prices were not that bad and staff were nice. My daughter is fine smitsky's inside there and I was able to look at a few cool journal that they had for sale. There were prank toys as well. What really caught my attention was all the wall cat clocks they had which they had in various colors. You know the Felix looking cats with the eyes that look left and right. It was kind of crazy to see them all lined up above the cash register. Definitely a unique shop to take a look at and venture into when you're in downtown.

With that said I think this is a great shop for some unique gifts for everyone: between bags, stickers, Knick knacks and more. It seems to be a popular but well loved place in town and you can feel it in the atmosphere. Would definitely come back!

We did a slow Spokane walk to see what's around. This was closest to our hotel so figured to check…read moreit out! AMBIANCE Parking: Downtown parking is downtown parking thus requiring some patience. There is some street parking and garage parking nearby. Seating: Inside seating, plenty of cozy nooks and tables, with room for about 40-50 people. Vibes: You gotta love Spokane. A growing town but a small town feel. The spot itself feels like a love letter to books and community with that old soul essence. You walk in and your senses are welcomed from the aroma of coffee and the hustle and bustle of employees and customers moving around. One side you'll see the cafe but a good portion is a lot of shelves with books and gifts. A very stimulating space, great place to study or get work done. CAFES & RETAILS Cold Brew - Hazelnut (Recommend) They have these house brews with selective flavors. I got a staple hazelnut that provided a nice nutty earthy feel. The coffee was strong as it kept me up for a busy day. Retails (Recommend) I didn't get anything but if my luggage had room I probably totally would have. Great range of books and creative thoughtful gifts (bookmarks, candles, and trinkets). CUSTOMER SERVICE Friendly and welcoming. The staff contributes to the warm atmosphere and makes the space feel approachable. TL;DR OVERALL 4.5 Stars. Good coffee, cozy vibes, and a sense of community that makes you want to stay awhile. Atticus isn't just a coffee shop but a neighborly space that brings the locals and visitors together. If you're in Spokane and need a place to relax, come through! TIPS: * Take your time and browse the books and gifts, and enjoy the specials!

When we arrived, the customer service at the bar for pickup was just as great--smooth, efficient, and genuinely pleasant. The food definitely delivered. The pretzel was excellent, paired with a crazy good mustard that took it to another level. I ordered the curry, and it was a fantastic dish--rich, flavorful, and downright delicious. My daughter had the kids spaghetti with chicken added, and she confidently declared it the best spaghetti she's ever had... so there! Overall, a great experience with standout service and tasty food. I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu before giving that fifth star.

Spokane is a funny place for board gamers. Board game cafes are heavy on the "cafe" and light on…read morethe "board game." Game shops seem to either have no space to play a game or they have lots of space with no clear instructions on when/how the space can/should be used and by whom. And all of the shops we visited while in town were struggling with identity crisis. As for Uncles: Good: Board game selection is better than the other shops we visited in town Bummer: Not a cafe and no obvious place to play a game, so likely intended as strictly retail rather than a gaming space. (No harm no foul...just offering an observation for the advantage of others) Bad: Nobody offered to help (employees stayed behind the counter while we were there). Odd: Organization/layout and display shelves were a challenge. Some areas were clearly organized and others less so. Just when I started to think I was understanding the organizational scheme, I'd find a game that obviously belonged with a group of others on the other side of the store. Just my opinion, but there is enough selection here that an alphabetical layout scheme would probably make sense. Suggestion: Pick an identity: Toy store or game shop? Gone are the days of the bizarrely mixed toy department in the basement of the local sporting goods store. Board games have moved beyond classification as "toys" and into the realm of being a true hobby all its own. If Uncles decides to focus up as a game store, consider dumping the little kid toys and leaning heavier into collectibles loved by most gamers (e.g. Funko, Iron Studios, Superhero/Fantasy/Sci-Fi stuff, etc.) Parking: rough. (Seemed as though downtown paid street parking was the only option.) Pricing is pretty standard for brick and mortar...a touch higher than you can find online in most cases. (I call it the "Instant Gratification Tax.") At the end of the day, I came away feeling as though the shop might be run by a pair of contentious siblings...one who loves modern board games and the other who is convinced that kid's toys are the way to go. Combining them in this small a space was OK in the '80s but now is just confusing for both groups.
