When half the outlets in our kitchen stopped working, including the plugs for the fridge and freezer, we frantically called several electricians. The guy we talked to, not only tried to troubleshoot it with us over the phone in attempt to fix it for free, he was able to get us in early the next morning. Other places we called told us they might be able to get to us on Friday, (2 days away) and one offered to send someone for $750 just to show up. They arrived the next morning and quickly identified, fixed the problem, and offered a suggestion to prevent future issues. Total cost, $135. Called Zap when my normal electrician was unavailable due to a medical issue. Not sure if just me luck with Zap.....but wd not call again. Had what is normally a simple job of installing outlet, replace fan in bath room and add a remote light switch. Took all day, drilled through outside wall and siding by mistake. Doing the patch repairs myself as did not trust the guy who was doing the work. Spent a lot of time going out to his van, talking on phone etc. Did not even hv a tape measure and borrowed one from me. Billed for all this time. A very good experience with ZAP. He called back quickly after I left a message, as I had done with several other electricians(who never called). He was booked for the week (it was Friday) but he called first thing Monday morning, as he promised. He was able to do the job later in the day. He showed up when expected, and wasted no time getting to work. I had two defective fluorescent fixtures. He replaced the ballast in one and installed a new two-tube I had on hand in place of the failed four-tube. (I only had tubes in one side of that fixture.) Vaughn and his helper Wed worked efficiently, and cleaned up when finished. Vaughn's prices are reasonable, and I am very satisfied with his work. A neat clean job. I will call Vaughn again when I need repairs or replacements of fixtures or outlets. He seems well prepared and equipped to take on larger jobs as well. read more

I live in my RV full time now and I thought I had an issue with the power supply at the RV park I was staying in. The park uses Zap Electric for their repairs. Conan and Dennis came out and found the power supply was fine and the problem was in my RV electrical system. It seemed like Conan was challenged by the problem I was having and loved it. He talked me through a temproary fix for the problem while on his way driving to Kansas City and back. He did everything he could to help me, and when he returned he had the parts there for the fix. He had diagnosed the problem before he talked to the experts on the system in the coach, He went out of his way to get me fixed and on my way.
