A gentleman open the door and warmly greets on the way in and out. Nice touch. Wait staff was professional, personable, and friendly. The menu has something for everyone from hamburger, fish and chips, fish tacos, and more. Please check their menu. We started with a drinks and Elote. Since we've had Mexican food for two days we ordered the Fish and Chips which was delicious. The order comes with four fried fish fillets, fries, and a yummy dipping sauce and Malted vinegar. It can also be filled with the roasted flesh of your favorite slaughtered animal. Mine's pig. Gorditas are fast, and highly customizable. Word to the wise, though. Bring your bib, because these suckers are MESSY and seating is highly limited around lunchtime. You don't want a big mole stain on your shirt when you're hitting on the hotties across from GM at Hot Topic, do you? Didn't think so.

And the Dulce de Leche dessert was really good too, not too sweet or overpowering. For cocktails the Triple Crown and Run for the Roses were very refreshing. The staff were very friendly and attentive and though the restaurant was renovated they kept the classic look that makes the Tack Room. Reopening is tentatively for November 14th 2025. It's been years since I've gone to the Tack Room but the new menu and changes they've made are really worth the trip downtown.

We did the bone marrow with Chicharron and avocado and it was so freaking good and it comes with tortillas as well. I got two type of tacos as well. One of them was a ribeye with sausage is just phenomenal. The other one was fajita with mushrooms and no balls and it was delicious. I also added cheese onto that one. I also really wanted to try the soup so I got the Chicharron one and it tasted like a mix of Chicharron with tomato basil, which is interesting and delicious.
