I just had my very first trigger point massage. It was amazing. I highly recommend Elizabeth Bryson. She made me feel comfortable and ease right from the start. I was concerned because I have several issues that cause considerable pain. She communicated with me perfectly throughout the massage so I never had to worry about discomfort. I can't wait to come back! read more

Found this wonderful studio while on vacation in Maine; recommended by a local business person. Booked online through their very detailed website and received clear communication via email about my appointment. Welcomed warmly by the owner and introduced to their mascot, a beautiful Weimaraner (Zara?) and to my therapist, Elizabeth Bryson. Not only was she intuitive, kind, friendly and sensitive to my body work needs, she has a great energy to her that made me comfortable and relaxed. The facility is peaceful and beautiful -- I'm told it's the former rectory of the church on the town square. Will absolutely return on my next trip! read more

They said because they didn't have two masseuses the price would be discounted but we ended up paying more than the listed price on the door. The massage experiences was terrible as well. The lady walked in on me while changing and didn't leave the room and watched me change. I got on the bed with a towel and underwear on and she ripped the towel and underwear off of my body. She never asked before hand if I was comfortable with this and I was extremely nervous. The masseuse got ON TOP of the bed with me and straddled my naked body with her legs and i was very uncomfortable. I was never asked for a massage preference and it was very rough and unpleasant. When leaving a tip for the receipt the lady was very weird about me signing it. I attempted to pick the receipt up to look at it and she kept her hand pressed on it so she could watch me write the number for a tip. I tipped very well. As soon as I was done she took the paper and examined it and looked at me like I had not tipped enough. EXTREMELY BAD EXPERIENCE. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I swear it was 20 minutes from the time I walked in until she threw me out the back door. I didn't get just a hair cut but also a waxing. I called for an appointment and asked if I could come right away since I was getting my oil changed at O'Connors. I needed a fresh cut and I was told Whitney would take me. COOL! So, Whitney starts cutting my hair (dry, which she told me is how she does it) and I thought Edward Scissorhands was doing my hair because hair was flying all over the place! So much so that I was spitting it out as I was trying to speak to her. I thought she would use the blow dryer and get the hair off of me but NO...NO, she sent me on my way with hair all over me. I asked when I got there if they have a waxing service and Whitney said yes that she would check when she finished my hair. (I don't know why she didn't check then.) By the time Whitney asked, the Esthetician had left for the day so Whitney decided to do it herself. The Esthetician had turned off the waxing pod so it was already cool but Whitney used it anyway. She said something about it being too cold but that didn't stop her. Needless to say, it was a terrible job. All she did was rip my skin. When I got home and looked at what she had done I was so mad. She never used anything to get the COLD WAX off my face, didn't use a tweezer to get any hair she missed, never even gave me a mirror to look at myself. My eyebrows and lip were exactly they way they looked when I walked in (until the next day when my skin started to peel). I'm pretty sure she wasn't supposed to be doing the Esthetician's job because she threw me out the back door. I payed $50.00 for a short hair cut, eyebrow and lip wax without knowing how I looked. I tipped her $7.00 and left out the back door. I walked back to O'Connors and thought about how my tip was too cheap so when I retrieved my car I went back to give her another couple of dollars. I went in and asked for her again and was told her was in the back getting her hair did!! Well, now I get it...she was in such a hurry because she was waiting to get her own hair done!! OH, SHOOT!! Why didn't you say something and I wouldn't have gone there. I spent $60.00 and got an "OK" hair cut and terrible waxing. I looked like an idiot by the time I got back to O'Connors!! I tip very well so it bothered me that I didn't give her 20%. Now, I really wish I would have seen the terrible job she did before I went back to give her more tip money.
