This place is also an "almost gets your order right" fast food restaurant. Do not leave the drive thru without checking that everything you ordered is there. Count the sauces and check that they are right. Look inside every box. Something will be wrong. I placed a big order the other day of regular and boneless wings. They gave us the boneless wings and then told us to pull into a spot that it would be a few minutes. After 20 minutes I went inside, pretty sure they forgot and had to start over. We waited 40 FREAKING MINUTES!! for half of our order. It took so long that all of the other food was cold by the time I got it home. It's not cheap either when you're feeding five people, it was around $72 total for cold food. My daughter loves this place but I flat out refuse to feed the family here anymore. read more

I did a drive-thru to get boneless chicken fingers this week. Zaxby's used to be a favorite place for me whenever my wife was out of town. The boneless fingers were large and meaty. Not any more. This is the second time in the last few months that I have ordered the exact same thing and been extremely disappointed. These aren't chicken fingers! I came here today to get food before my appt. The service here is horrible! I watched people order after me and still get their food before me. All I ordered was a drink and fries. I don't know how all these people with salads and chicken get their food before mine. It was just fries. If she had apologized and went about her business it would have been over but she had to tell me who was in front of me, who was behind me, what she was doing, that they were short staff. I don't care about any of that. Especially when you keep talking and like I told her of she was working as hard as she was talking then more people would have their food. Then the cook in the back started telling me to pipe down. I was not loud and I was right! Why are you worried about what's going on in the front when you are supposed to be making food in the back. Then I asked who the manager was, and it wasn't even him. Please stay in your lane and make the food. I ended the conversation with asking for a refund. Glad I took it home because there was no flavor to at all. there were no grilled peppers, no grilled onions and some kind of flavorless cheese on chicken that wasn't seasoned. They were not fresh and the chicken had too much breading and was dry. You can definitely judge a chicken joint by how juicy their chicken is -- and there was no brining done to this chicken. Zaxby's is typically good, but this location was a let down. The dinning area was not very clean and even the tray they served my food on looked as if it was not very clean. I notified one of the employees behind the counter that they were out of ketchup but no one ever did anything about it. Horrible service! My order was carried out to the people who ordered after I did. When I said something to the person who took my order and carried it to the table of the people who ordered after I did, he took no responsibility and said I could speak to the manager. The manager came out and brought the other people's food to me, which was wrong. I carried it back to the counter because I noticed cucumbers and tomatoes on my salad. They took it and came back with it to my table, when I then noticed it was grilled instead of fried chicken on it. Finally get the correct order, with no real apology for the mix up. This is the second time this location has failed me in respect to customer service. Previous incident I was lied to about the kitchen running out of eggs for the Cobb salad at the drive through, which I had no problem getting when I went inside and told management what had happened. We love Zaxbys chicken. It is tasty and consistent quality. My husbands favorite is the Chicken strip sandwich deal which is 4.99 and includes fries and a drink. My favorite is the Buffaloe Blue chicken salad, the sauce is a bit spicy so I usually ask for a medium amount of sauce.The cost is a little more. Zaxbys has several meal deals, but you need to read their menu carefully for the meal deals. read more

My husband loves Zaxbys! The very sad news is that Apex is not blessed with this chicken joint. If we want Zaxbys we have to travel to Fuquay (this location), Raleigh, or Cary (on the far side of Cary). So Zaxbys is a treat. This location in Fuquay is a very nice location. The staff is quick and efficient. The food is of consistant quality. The restaruant is clean. So what's not to like? I would also like to recommend the wings and things plate. That is what my husband usually eats. I like the chicken salad zalad (chicken salad on salad). The meal is so big that it sometimes takes me 3 meals to finish it. My children are big fans of the girlled cheese. A helpful hint is that the kiddie grilled cheese is the same size as an adult just with less fries. So if you are lucky enough to live close to a Zaxbys take advantage of it and eat there often! read more

Told him to go up and ask to get more fries... normally the box is at least half full.
