Two out of five stars for Zaxby's. Let's start with the good: the sweet peach tea was genuinely delicious, and the young person who served us was incredibly kind and polite. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The drive through line was syrupy s...l...o....w! The fajita quesadilla was a $10 disaster. It arrived greasy, burnt to a crisp, and had a strange, unappetizing creamy texture that made it completely inedible. It was, in short, $10 worth of garbage. To add insult to injury, the rest of our order was completely messed up. We ordered a zenzational salad with shrimp, but received chicken instead. The egg roll that accompanied the salad was okay. My husband's chicken sandwich meal was "copasetic," which, at least, prevented this from being a complete loss. So, great tea and a sweet server, but the food was a hot $40 mess. read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I placed an order at 11:30 AM and went to pick it up around 12:10. I didn't actually leave the store until 12:50. The wait was frustrating, but what made the experience even worse was the customer service. We come to this Zaxby's location almost every Sunday for lunch after church and have never been treated with this level of hostility. The employees were rude, dismissive, and made the entire interaction incredibly uncomfortable. It honestly felt intentional. I understand that restaurants get busy, but being busy is never an excuse to treat customers poorly. Safe to say, we will not be returning to this location. Zaxby's may be a chain and this review may not mean much to corporate, but whoever owns or manages this particular store should know that the customer service from this team is seriously lacking. read more

Well, I only hoped that it would go up from my previous two star review but no such luck. So today I guess I'm a glutton for punishment, I went back for their lemon pepper, traditional wings, and ended up getting the wings and things. Customer service is still very poor. Then I got home eager to dig in only to discover that my chicken wasn't even cooked all the way through and the coleslaw was sour tasting, like it might've been spoiled. And whatever we're calling Texas toast these days really looked like a slice of bread that was put through a toaster to toast very very lightly. I can't risk going back to this location. read more

DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM THIS RESTAURANT!!! They will take your money and then refuse to fill your order. I placed a $72 order through the Zaxby's app and shortly thereafter the driver called to tell me they were out of one of the items and because of that, the store refused to even prepare the rest of the order. They were RUDE and unwilling to do anything. I had to call the 800 number, wait on hold, and then be told it would take 10-12 business days to get my money back. Stopped in on our way home from out of town to grab some food for the road. Not sure what was going on that night but the wait was pretty long. The staff was kind, but definitely seemed confused. The food is fine, it's the extra little things that can make or break a meal though. Salads need forks and dressings, tenders need sauce and drinks need straws. Each one misses every time. Currently eating my salad with my fingers and because we don't have forks at my work. I go here on a biweekly basis and my experience is almost always poor. There must be some internal problems within this place? It's odd that the kitchen has trouble getting orders out correctly. It's odd that restaurant in such a new building has a sanitation grade of 94. When we entered the first thing I noticed was the sanitation grade has dropped to a 94.0. It drops every inspection here. The first few tables we began to sit at were dirty. The men's room needed attention- especially the floor in front of the urinal. The cashier was friendly enough and the girl handing out the food was nice. My order was correct but they left off an egg roll on my wife's tray. When she went back to get her egg roll she had to wait behind someone else that was also returning their incorrect order. Our food was good. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service my teammates and I received at Zaxby's loacated at Afton Ridge in Concord, North Carolina on January 21st. We visited the restaurant expecting to enjoy a meal together but we were met with unprofessional behavior from the manager on duty. The older female manager refused to serve us without providing a valid reason. This treatment was not only disrespectful but also completely unacceptable. This same manager also yelled out my card declined when I didn't even hand her my card and this made me feel very disrespected, she also told one of my teammates to be quiet when they did not even say anything to her. We felt unwelcome and unfairly targeted, which significantly ruined our dining experience. read more

Almost every time I visit here I'm asked to pull around from the drive-thru window to park in a space on the other side of the building to wait for my food. One time they brought the food out almost as soon as I parked so I didn't understand why I was asked to pull around at all, and another time it took well over ten minutes when there was no one ahead or behind me. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it except to maybe beat a timer on how fast they're getting cars through. I don't mind pulling up a bit from time to time, but if there's no one behind me in the line and it's happening nearly every visit, it creates a poor customer experience. read more

Afton Ridge location. Other reviews mention their low food sanitation scores dropping and it is now a 93. Very low for a national chain and a testament to the lack of concern by management and employees. They should be ashamed of this. My salad was the usual Zaxby's quality, which I like, but I shouldn't have to ask for my change back at the drive thru window. And after given my change and my drink, I was told have a nice day and they shut the window. Worst Zaxby's ever. I go there tonight to order ( I usually avoid going to this location but Wendy's was closed and I was in a big rush) and my entire order was wrong. I ordered the classic chicken sandwich, no Zac sauce, Mayo on the side, and cheese bites with ranch no marinara. The lady let me know they didn't even serve it with marinara anymore and only sold it with ranch. I get my order- chicken sandwich ONLY Zac sauce on it, no Mayo, no ranch. Then I go in and the lady (I'm assuming the manager she was old and wearing a black shirt with glasses) stared at me and acted like I was bothering her. Today was my worst experience I ever dealt with today at zaxby's . My husband and I order our food literally waited 45 mins for it . When time was about 35 -40 mins I asked the cashier what is up with our food we've been waiting so long for it and our number kept getting skipped . So my husband and I decided wait a little longer finally when the manager came out my husband has asked kindly about our food because we waited so long for it . So me as a angry wife wasn't going to let anyone talk to my husband like that so yes I cussed the manager right back and made him apologize so after apologizing we finally get our food so when we get our food it was cold messy and disgusting to the point I didn't even wanna touch it . So my husband took a bite out his wing and guess what a raw uncooked wing . I can never ever explain how rude and dirty this place is . Zero stars should really be an option. Went through the drive through for lunch today. Two cars in front of me moved fairly quickly. I pull up to the intercom and hear nothing for about 5 minutes... I say "hello?" And get no response so I'm starting to think maybe the intercom is messed up and people are just driving around to order. To be sure I wait a couple minutes and ask "hello?" One more time. The lady on the other end rudely says "if I don't answer you it's because I'm busy". Needless to say, I was no longer interested in ordering food from this location or speaking to this woman anymore so I pull around to the window and ask the young man for the general managers contact information and the name of the woman speaking in the intercom. Neither were provided and instead they took my contact information. I doubt I'll hear anything because I'm obviously not the first to have an issue at this location and the issues are not being addressed. Will absolutely never dine here again and am telling everyone in the area to avoid this location as well.
