Visited this location today at 5:20 pm because quite frankly it's on my daily trek. I attempted to order a peach tea but because it's often too sweet, I asked if I could have half sweetened /half unsweetened tea. Literally one extra step in the making of my $4 drink. The drive through person ( Alexandra or Cameron) advised me that she couldn't do what I asked? I repeated it back in an inquisitive manner because this is how I order it at every Zaxbys. She repeated it again, (that she could not make a half sweet/half unsweetened tea with adding the Monin Peach syrup). I was told to drive around. My receipt indicates I paid for peach tea, which is an extra charge. Driving away,I sampled my drink. I was not given what I asked for. I WAS SERVED BREADED FRIED PAPER AS A CHICKEN SANDWICH! This place is horrible! They should not be in business!! The Zabys at 1640 Old 41 hwy NW Kennesaw Ga sold us a chicken sandwich made of breaded wax paper. After taking a few bites and realizing what it was, we immediately drove 9 miles back to speak the manager and get a refund and new sandwiches. After showing the paper sandwich to the manager, Cody, he told us that all he could do was give us a new sandwich, which was unsatisfactory. So if this is how you treat your customers after selling them sandwiches made of paper, I will never patronize your business again, and I will also make sure I tell everyone I know the type of service I received. I will also be contacting the Board of Health and showing them what Zaxby's is passing off as chicken sandwiches!! read more

They got my order wrong, but it didn't matter - the funnel cake was undercooked, and the caramel sauce was uneatable. Slow service and all the batter over cheese bits, and anything else was just subpar. You've been warned. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I sat in line for 25 minutes before making my way to the window. As I was placing my order I could not understand the person through the speaker. My teenage son could not understand her either. Once I arrived at the window, I saw three young girls who were clearly more engaged with each other than the customers outside waiting. The young girl handed me the first drink and the cup fell apart all over the outside and inside of my car....her response "do you want another drink". Never was there an apology for making us wait for 25 minutes in line or spilling a drink all over my car. This Zaxbys is close to my job so I stopped here at least 3 days a week. Service is decent at best but I didn't mind the service since it was so close to my job. Stopped in and I was waiting to be helped when I saw the biggest rat I've ever seen in person. He saw me and wasn't scared at all!! He was clearly at home. The inside is outdated and filthy. BUYER BEWARE. Horrible customer service. Careless employees leave meals out of your order. When you arrive home and discover the missing meals, if you call them, they will do absolutely nothing for you, except tell you to drive back and they will replace the meal. We live over 10 miles from this store, so we asked to have the order replaced from our local Zaxby's. Nope. They couldn't do that. We asked to have the money refunded for the missing meal. Nope. "Fast" is a huge understatement. Waited 30 minutes in line for mediocre food and rude service. Go to the other zaxbys on cobb, not worth it.

It seems to be hit and miss here at this location. Most of the time, the food is as expected. However, I am becoming increasingly irritated and disappointed. On more than one occasion, before 8pm, they have started taking away the tea containers and de-activating the soda machines. They don't close until 10pm. So it seems to me that they should maintain their business as open and fully operational, until they close. So why are they taking away the drinks in the dining area 2 hours before they are supposed to close??? read more

I used to frequent this restaurant often. I think the last 6 months or so the food is not as consistent and I miss the shakes.

I am a glutton for punishment so I dine at Zaxby's. I realize this isn't the BK Lounge and I can't have it my way but if I add cucumbers to a salad or extra ranch with my wings the blank stare I always get and the upcharge of $1.00 to $3.00 is a bit ridiculous. Service is inconsistent, prices vary depending on which cashier you get and I always have to get my order fixed whether it be in the drive thru or inside the store. I have such a love/hate relationship with Zaxbys. I only wish I didn't get the latest newbie every time I go in. read more

Honestly the least efficient Zaxby's I've ever seen. If you order a random item on the menu you'll probably have the same amount of chance to get whatever food you actually want than if you order what you actually want. Dont bother asking for extra sauces, you won't get them. BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE WINDOW, make sure ask for a straw, a fork, whatever sauce, napkins etc. because they will not give you one. Taste your drink and make sure it's what you ordered. Every time I go to this zaxbys I expect to see the three stooges at the window. read more

My recent experience was that I placed an order through the drive thru. Got home and it was 1) wrong, 2) soggy and 3) had not one, but two long black hairs in it. When I called to get a refund, they refused. Said I would need to dig it out of my trash and bring it back to get a refund. I explained I wasn't driving 5 miles back to prove the hair and quality of the food. Then, the managers repsonse was I could bring the food back any day this week and get a refund. I was asked to bag it up and keep it for my next trip by the restaurant. Was told the owner made this policy becuase they had too many people calling saying there was an issue asking for a refund. Thought: fix the root of the problem with food prep and quality and you won't have so many people calling back asking for a refund. Won't be back to this location. Ever. read more

ONLY the food warrants the two stars. The buffalo Blue Zalad I ate was delicious and my kids enjoyed their food as well. As for the rest of the experience...oh my goodness. Just like Liz V., I had a new employee waiting on me. Had to have been. My daughter ordered the chicken strip plate. He asked if she wanted it to be large. I asked him what the difference was between regular and large, and HE DIDN'T KNOW. I continued by asking if it included more food. He said that he wasn't sure. Then I asked him if it was large because it came on a bigger plate. He said he didn't think so. So apparently, a "large" at Zaxby's simply means a larger PRICE--$2.00 more to be exact. Another issue I had was that my son ordered boneless buffalo strips. Hot, hot, hot. When we got two cups and not three, I asked where my son's cup was. Our brilliantly trained register guy then told me that I didn't order my son a drink. Ummmm, wouldn't a great suggestive sell for an extremely hot item be, I don't know--a drink??? I then had to order a drink and pay in a separate transaction. I should have gotten one free due to ignorance. Finally, and most importantly, I am pregnant and diabetic. I can only eat certain foods. Not only did they not have a nutrition list, the manager acted extremely inconvenienced to go find the information for me on their office computer. I live right up the street so this zaxbys is very convenient but after today I can't. They have terrible kitchen staff or something because my food always comes out with something wrong. This is the 3rd time & today I almost gagged. The 1st time they left out sauces (not a big deal). The 2nd time (yesterday) I ordered a kiddie finger & thankfully I checked before I got too far away because they forgot the chicken !! I went there today to get a sandwich. Decided to go with the zensation one and you get an egg roll with it. First of all, I found a hair fried with my egg roll. Most disgusting thing! Why are they not required to wear hair nets?! Moved on to my fries, they tasted like they were reheated from the previous day and my sandwich was so mediocre I have no comment for it. Great semi-fast food!! I have eaten (in) here several times and the experience was on par with other Zaxby's restaurants. The service was quicker than other Zaxby's that I have been to and the food was equally as good. Expect a little wait for some hot, fresh food...I will, every time. Had lunch here and it was delish! And I must say, I truly enjoy the fact that use styrofoam cups for all of their drinks!

Caesar salad was delish and the manager Bryan was super accommodating and extremely knowledgeable of his menu.

I entered this Zaxby's to get a replacement meal because an order I purchased at another Zaxby's was over cooked. I was informed by the General Manager that they were a franchise and I would have to return to the Zaxby's of my original purchase. However, as loyalty to the brand, I could re-purchase my meal for 50% off. Unacceptable and laughable. I didn't realize that Zaxby's was a franchise organization because the company has done a great job with branding. I explained to the manager that I was not going in that direction and to save the brand, they should replace the meal. He wouldn't replace the meal and stated that it was a corporate policy. I called customer service and it is not a corporate policy. Zaxby's has lost a customer for a $6 meal.... I typically spend $20/week on average at Zaxby. No longer. My biggest aggravation with Zaxby's is that they are VERY stingy with how much seasoning they put on their fries. Obviously, this is why a lot of people come to Zaxbys because their fries are amazing - but without the necessary amount of seasoning, you might as well pass. Every time my wife and I go, they seem to put less and less seasoning on the fries and now they just taste pretty much bland. The manager should read the 7 habits of highly successful people and read about the clam chowder scenario where new management watered down the clam chowder that made a restaurant very successful. Shortly after the new management decided to make the change out of greed to increase profits - they went out of business. Customers do notice and make changes on whether to continue to do business.
