My wife is Type 1 Diabetic. She eats at this Zaxbys for lunch occasionally. As she did today. She ordered a Diet Orange Fanta with her meal. Being diabetic she asked this lady at the window if it was Diet to make sure she got it right. As she always does. The cashier at the window blatantly lied and said, "Yes." Here we are 5 hours later and my wife's blood sugar is coming down from being 400+. Completely unrelated to food or service, but they are, in fact, careless. I went to Zaxby's on Highway 64 in Lakeland, TN and attempted to redeem a code from a previous visit at a different location. However, I was unable to do so because the assistant manager, Omeika, did not know how to redeem my code even after consulting with her general manager. Omeika appeared confused when entering my order and had to ask another associate for help. The assistant manager was also rude and unwilling to take my order. It was only after I explained that I would make a purchase regardless of whether I could redeem my code or not that Omeika went to the back and said something to the cook before returning to the register. After waiting for a while, my order was ready, and Omeika checked my order with her back turned to me before putting it in separate bags. I asked Omeika to go over each item to ensure that my order was correct and that no dairy had been added to one of the items. However, Omeika ignored me and instead asked one of her associates to hand her the phone. Despite my attempts to get her attention, Omeika called the police and falsely accused me of harassing her. The cook in the back then began to yell and make threatening gestures towards me, making me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. One of the female associates eventually helped me confirm my order, but it was not until after I had left the restaurant that I realized it was incorrect. I have since filed a complaint with Zaxby's corporate and will not patronize any Zaxby's restaurant, especially not this location on Highway 64 in Lakeland, TN. This location is close to the house and across from Sprouts. I have been here plenty of times and every visit I leave satisfied. My order is always correct and hot. The drive thru can get backed up depending on the time of day. Tonight I went about 6pm and the drive thru was moving quickly. I noticed there were 3 young ladies working the window. One taking orders, while one took payments,and another handed me my food. I usually order the blue salad with blackened chicken or wings, the mushrooms are not spicy at all to me, the cookies are good, Texas toast and well just about everything I order is good. The few times I've been on the inside it was clean,but this visit was a drive thru order, so I won't go into detail about the inside. Perhaps on my next visit I'll try a chicken sandwiches but for now I'm sticking to my favs. The only thing I would say needs improvement would be the entrance on the side that faces sprouts. Have to watch for other cars because that entrance/exit is tight when cars are trying to turn in and get out. read more

If you are a delivery driver, GH, DD, or UE, let me save you some time and trouble. AVOID this place at all costs. So, just a little tale about what happened to me tonight at 7:40 pm. Had to make a note of the time on my phone. I went in to pick up a delivery. The fountain drink was in the bag. I set the order on the table, and went to the fountain. As I was filling it up, someone grabbed the order and ran out. Not their fault. When I explained what happened, the lady behind the counter accused me of already taking it to the car (in other words, trying to claim I stole it). I called my customer support specialist to let them know what happened. While I was on the phone, I hear a voice, HEY YOU ! I AM TALKING TO YOU ! Apparently it is a crime to not overhear someone when you are busy. I was told, "WE DON'T HAVE TO MAKE IT AGAIN, WE ARE NICE ENOUGH TO DO IT THIS TIME, YOU ARE WELCOME !!" Now I get it. They didn't have to make it again. But to talk to me like I am in Kindergarten and snap at me, and yell at me. That's another matter. Anyway, NOTHING will be done about this. But, it made me feel better to report this. I will report it to management and of course NOTHING will happen. The chicken strips were pretty good however they are pretty greasy and left a nice puddle behind on the plate. My fries were not hot but not really cold either, I am assuming they had just been waiting for me under a heat lamp for a bit. My biggest complaint would be the price. There chicken strip dinner and a drink is almost $10. A good value?? Not at all it was not much food and what there was was at best just ok overall. And what's ups with the menu board??? Love the fries and spices/seasoning on the fries and I really enjoy the chicken tenders. Sometimes the tenders can be a bit salty but the flavor is really good. I actually prefer these over chick fil a, only slightly. Food here is consistently good, order is usually correct, and drive thru is quick but the staff is not very friendly. It's a fast food place y'all, go here expecting a healthy meal and you'll be very sad. That said the food is cooked fresh and its plentiful portions - the snack meal is more than a snack. Used to eat Zaxby's all the time; however, I ordered the Wingz and Things last weekend w/ the bone-in wings and gosh they were tiny.....I remember a time they used to be fair sized but in one bite it was gone....i thought Buffalo Wild Wings had small wings, but this was even smaller than that. The food here is usually always great; however, my last visit was horrible all the way around. The cashier was rude while I ordered my food. I couldn't hear her through the intercom, then she proceeds to yell at me to repeat my order. Once I made it to the window, the cashier gave me my total which was significantly more than what I actually owed. I calmly explained to her that I had a different meal, and all of a sudden she snapped, stating I had an attitude with her. She turned to tell her coworkers that I was being rude. Someone else, a manger I assume, came to correct my order. After waiting 10 minutes for my food (which isn't all that uncommon because you're supposed to get it fresh), I checked my box and noticed that my food was cold. My chicken tenders were greasy and salty, my fries greasy as well and over seasoned. Needless to say, my visit was not pleasant. I've since visited another location and received much better service.
