Just as I remembered it. They are efficient at collecting your money, but fall short on the chicken. I ordered traditional wings and a basket of fries. The cashier informed me we no longer have the basket of fries. We have a large size. The chicken was mediocre, flavorless, and tasted old. Flavorless because they are stingy with the sauce. I asked for double the sauce. I was assured that extra sauce would be added, and yet here I am giving a negative review. Tasted old because the wings were dry like the wings have been sitting under a warm lamp all day and dry. I say warm lamp because the food was not hot and warm barely warm. As for the fries, the large must've been a large to a child. From an adult perspective it was medium size at best. In the end, I couldn't finish it. I hate wasting food! Not only was the staff here all nice but the chicken was BOMB!!! I'm from the west coast and our chicken strips taste like doodoo and old oil. I was staying at the stay bridge inn and suites which is right next door so walked here for lunch one afternoon and was hooked after! So were my kids! I'm sure I gained a few pounds but it was worth it. I have no idea if it's the oil, seasoning or the breading but these were the best chickens strips I've ever had. I am pretty anti fried food because it just never tastes good no matter where I try. But not here. These chicken strips were life changing and the fries had the perfect amount of seasoning. The prices are also affordable! Where I'm from to feed a family of 4 fast food it's $50+. Here our total for us 4 was only $30 something dollars. Store was spotless. I miss you Zaxby's! read more

Come on Zaxby you got to do a little better on customer service drive thru waiting time. I ordered 2 salads their zensation zalad. And had to pull forward and wait for my two salads. I wasn't thrilled they didn't have the Citrus vinaigrette dressing. I was okay not having the dressing. It happens they run out of things. I opted for honey French instead. Poor guy came outside looking scared I would be mad. He was aware I have been waiting awhile. He let me know they didn't have the dressing that it usually comes with. I had never eaten Zaxby's chicken at all so when I needed lunch today I stopped by to try the "Signature" sandwich. I wasn't sure which flavor to get so I asked for some of each - Zax Sauce and Spicy. I also asked for no salt on the fries. What I got was a big meh. The sandwich I ate plain because Zax sauce is not good, imo. They didn't give me spicy even though they said they would. The chicken was good - basic crunchy chicken. Not bad. The fries were soggy. This has to be the most poorly run fast food restaurant in Murfreesboro. It's unfortunate it is my daughter's favorite as I have to battle their incompetency weekly. You can almost count on sitting in the drive thru for 45+ min: I had a cashier tell me once to not order inside they were so backed up and I'd just be waiting for at least an hour. Today I ordered online for "asap" - asap was a 70 min wait time. My order was cancelled after 35 min. It's truly fascinating how inefficient this store is. I've never seen anything like it. DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION!!! I live nearby and every time I come here, which isn't often, my order is wrong or the service is extremely slow. I ordered one meal in the drive through for myself and sat waiting for my food for over 30 minutes (not an exaggeration) after they messed up my order. I ordered in the evening, not during the dinner rush either. Where is the management or the customer service? It took so long I walked inside to wait for my food and see what the hold up was. How does one meal take this long? After going inside, I was told they forgot my meal again and they proceeded to go through a list of meals asking me what meal was mine. DO NOT EAT HERE! I think they are running a scam. I pull into the drive thru and they tell me if I spend over $5 I get a free funnel cake. I say, why not....free food! They guy who took my order told me they would take it off at the window. I get to the window, 20 minutes later, and I noticed that I was charged for the funnel cake. They told me the offer stopped at 7:00pm. I thought that was interesting because I ordered after 7:00 pm. Why would the guy mention that? So the manager tell me they will give me a refund for the funnel cake. 5 minutes later the manger tell me it is his 2nd day of work and he does not know how to do a refund! Every time I go here there's an issue! Once I went and they gave me the wrong change back and I told her and she was like no you gave me a $10 and I said now I gave you a $20 and at first she wasn't going to do anything until I told her I know I gave you a $20 because at the time I drove for Lyft and it was a tip and I was super excited so I took a picture to send to a friend. Well thank goodness I did because I showed her and then they went to count the register and proceeded to bring me the rest of my change. Didn't even apologize. I just got eye rolling. I didn't go back for the longest. Then I started back eventually to try it again. I was good for awhile.
