So I rarely go to Zaxby's cause it's not my favorite place but today I went to get my kid and brother some food. We got to the window and I didn't catch her name but it was Sunday 02/16/2020 and around 2pm and the girl in the window was very rude. She was rushing me to get the food and slammed the window close. I hate the fact that this is the closest Zaxby's to where we are now. We recently purchased a home in Perry and it's about 2 miles away compared to the store on Russell Parkway that's about 8. It's only the third time buying from this particular store and they've literally messed up each and every order. They clearly need someone to check the quality of their food before handing it over because this is getting ridiculous. My first order the chicken was burnt beyond recognition and was so crispy and rubbery, horrible. Second order...they left a whole meal off of my order that was pretty lengthy and refused to replace it without a receipt. (I had gone home to give my family their food when I noticed it, the receipt was in the bag and as you can imagine, it was just a lot of work for a human error) My last and (will be) final visit, they left 2 of the major ingredients out of their Cobb salads. This Zaxbys has never been the best but the past 6 months especially, have been awful. The off chance they actually get your order right, the quality of the food is less than mediocre. The staff is extremely rude all the time, day shift and night shift. They've also not opened or closed early on numerous occasions without a sign or anything to let customers know. I"m giving this Zaxby's location 4 stars because the cashier was so nice/cheerful. Came in on a wednesday afternoon and the place was fairly dead. In fact, there was just one cashier and one cook (that I saw), but she always had a smile, got my food to me quickly (blackened blue grilled chicken zalad) and took my try/salad plate when I was looking for the trash to dispose of it. When there was idle time, she was either tidying up the seating area, or conversing with an older couple who were apparently regulars. I'm a sucker for customer service and I left happy. read more

I would give this location zero stars if I could. Why I even go here, I have no clue. When this location first opened in Perry, it was very well ran. Clean and the food was on point. But for the past 2-3 years, I've never been more frustrated with the service I've received here. For one, all they have is young, non-concerned, ZERO customer service teens/adults working. I usually order their "chocolate cookie crumble milkshake" or whatever it's called. Not only was the cup half-full, it was completely melted, and the drive thru person had spilled milkshake all on the outside of the cup and didn't even try to wipe it off or hand me a napkin with it. Just handed me a cup of milkshake with more milkshake all over the outside than inside. And this has happened several times. The food is often just thrown in the plate, messy, and sauce everywhere. So I quit giving them my money. They are never busy for a reason... I'm usually not one to be picky, but the fact that I clean dirty diapers and wipe booger noses for a living and give my money to these young kids who don't know what customer service is or have a sense of entitlement about themselves like they're too good to try and be nice and courteous.. aggravates me to no end. Complete opposite of the happy environment of Chick-Fil-A with stellar customer service. They definitely need to get some more willing and customer-friendly people in here who actually want to work, and give people good service. Chicken was ok but girl taking orders is very confused. She was going to charge me .25 for the Blue Cheese dressing I ordered instead of the Ranch that she gave me. The guy in the kitchen threw it to the front counter as I waited to get the dressing I asked for to begin with. As orders became available, she basically whispered the numbers so orders sat getting cold as the customers only knew they were avail when they tired of waiting and went to counter to check. This place has been here at least 18 years. I've seen it at its best and worst. The worst in the last 5 years. Often cold food (drive thru or dine in) , bathrooms trashed (now if that's the bathrooms...what's the kitchen like?) tables are rarely wiped down. Caked up dust on fixtures above tables. After so many disappointing experiences, you finally just go elsewhere. It would take the whole staff being on board with WANTING to give good customer service. You cant please everyone, no. However, you can prepare hot meals and serve then. You can take the time to clean thruout the day. We at one time were proud to have Zaxbys in Perry. It appears the staff just doesn't care, sadly. The assistant manager took my order at a terminal that was not set up so I had to wait for 3 more people to order before me, then I was told me number and given my receipt then waited for 35 minutes for a boneless wings and things with thereafter me receiving there food then they put my food up but they are calling the wrong number. Finally they check back and when I walk up and ask about it they tell me the order sitting for 15 minutes is mine, guess what.
