I stopped in this Zaxbys on Saturday to get a chicken sandwich on Texas toast. I stood at the counter for about 5 minutes and no one even acknowledged me. Several employees walked past me like I was invisible. A woman finally took my order. When I got my sandwich, there was no bun. Just a piece of chicken with lettuce. Service is horrendous. Ordered just fries and toast for $5 and we had to pull forward and we're sitting there waiting for over 10 minutes!!!! Cars with full meal orders received their food before we did. Absolutely unacceptable for only a moderately busy location at 11pm. We forgot to get drinks at long horn but I wanted the goodness of a homemade spun strawberry lemonade from here so we wound up grabbing drinks from the drive thru. No one was in line so it worked out perfectly for us. We literally got in line to grab a hand spun strawberry lemonade and a dr. Pepper. Boom done. Staff were pleasant and the service took a little long as I was shocked because it was literally two drinks!! May come back if we are close by as I love this lemonade! read more

Honestly, we eat here maybe once every three or four months and time and time again, this place is getting worse. I understand there is a big shortage of staff and places are overwhelmed, and especially understand as I used to work in the restaurant business myself, but there are only so many excuses one can make. Zaxby's allows customers to order online or through their app. I honestly thought by ordering 25-30 minutes in advance would make it easier on the restaurant, but this is now my third time ordering using their app 30 minutes in advance. I get there, and they have not even started my order, even with it paid in advance and today I waited 22 minutes inside and then they made my order. Working in the restaurant is not easy, I totally get it. Today while waiting in line one of their employees started to have a panic attack, and I and another customer thought for a second there was an emergency. Today is Friday, whoever owns this franchise is setting this place up for failure. Six staff members, 5 customers inside, and about 6-7 cars in the drive-through. This location does not seem to be properly trained, has new staff, and needs help. Chick-fil-A is successful because makes sure everyone is set up for success, come on Zaxby's. Personally, you are better off coming inside or ordering at the drive-through. There is absolutely no point in using their app to order food. 1. Fired me as I "walked out" when scheduled to leave, 15 minutes prior to leaving. Schedule me if you want me to close, not the other way around. 2. Fired me within the same week I "whistle blew" that sexual harassment occurred on the premises with a minor. The same day they terminated me, I was yelled at by a coworker in front of many customers. 3. I was told to clock out after stating i have a motor disability which meant i could not do dishes. i didn't think this would hinder me on the job, but it kept me up at night from pain. after being told it was discrimination, a manager said "well you should NEVER say no to a manager" 4. Coworker sent out burnt bread. When I told them not to, & made new ones that i personally brought to the customers in their car i was both made fun of, & told that i "picked & chooses when to help the team" 5. Was stalked during my shift every time she worked. She would stare me down for hours for no reason but out of enjoyment. talked down about me: my weight, my acne, who even knows what else. 6. The GM was bothered I left 15 minutes after I was scheduled, & ultimately fired me for it, despite being scheduled until 10:30 (clocked out 10:45). It's an ego issue that runs rampant through the store. Would not recommend eating here unless you want burnt food & harassment happening under your nose. read more

Service was very nice and attentive as expected. Food came out quick and correct. But the chicken was cold and NEVER order the coleslaw! OMG, the texture was puréed and smalls like it went through somebody's heated first. I have tried lots of Zaxby's slaw before and I have to say this is by far the worst I had the unfortunate to sample. read more

Management is horrible . Asked for light sauce , this was done to be spiteful, I watched management pour sauce into my box instead on tossing wings in a bowl as they should be doing. Ordered a Zalad through the drive thru. Once I got home & opened my Zalad I noticed it was a lot of old and wilted lettuce. Called to see if I could get a credit for next time and the manager informed me of the new policy regarding COVID so I would have to drive back to the store to return the Zalad. Went back up there just so I could get a full refund. Unsure if there's new management, but I had an awful experience and won't be returning. read more

The good ole local Zaxby's. Ever since I moved to the south Zaxby's has stood out as a fast food vendor that is so unique to the region that I would travel just to get a Kicken' Chicken Sandwich. I get a lot of slack for saying this ,but I would take Zaxby's over Chick-Fil-A any day. I know, I know my bias is showing a little bit. It's hard to mess up when your making food this good. The service at this location is excellent 9/10. I have rarely seen anyone working here that didn't have a smile on their face and was actively polite. My food is always coming out timely and hot and I have only had my order messed up 1/2 times ever. This is great for the volume of patrons they have on any given day. As a Georgia boy who lives out of state I've always got to get my Zaxby's fix over the holidays when I'm home. Tried the new Garlic Buffalo wings today and can't say I was impressed. The sauce is tangy in a strange way and not particularly hot; I'll just stick with Nuclear like I usually do next time. The spicy chicken sandwich was excellent though, incredible seasoning and very large filet. The toasted bun was on point too. Couldn't taste the spicy sauce much, but I had a side of Zax Sauce for dipping. The fries as always well-seasoned and crispy. Can't beat Zaxby's! read more

Ugh normally I get pretty lucky and my food is fresh, sadly not this time. My boneless wings were so dry I swear they were a few days old and refried. My friies were stale tasting as well. This spot is probably hit or miss I'm guessing. read more

Welcome to my review. Well everyone knows Zaxbys is well famous in the south. The menu is common. My favorite items are kickin chicken sandwich, tater chips, Zax sauce, and Zalad house fried. This location in and out is difficult but there is enough parking. There is farmers market across street, medical building next door, and long horns. This is by far the worst Zaxby's I have ever been to. On two separate occasions I was not able to order food after waiting in the drive thru for 25 mins. One time a staff member came out to say their power went down, and then today a staff member came out to tell everyone that they didn't have food prepared. That we can wait but it would take 25-40 to have ready. Surely a deterrent to prevent customers from ordering food. What kind of employees is this place hiring? read more

First time at a Zaxby's and now I know why everyone loves it. From the moment you enter you do not feel like you are at a fastfood restaurant. From the decor, lighting, clean restrooms, and the service, it feels and resembles an actual dine in restaurant. I believe, Christy was the one who took our order, service with a smile. My friend and I both ordered the blackened bleu chicken salad. It was delicious! They even take time with the presentation of the dish and a huge serving. I enjoyed every bite! Stopped here on a whim. Ordered fries, a salad, and chicken bacon ranch fries. The loaded fries were cooled, not hot when received. The regular fries were not seasoned. The salad tasted as expected. The service needs improvement. When I pulled up to the window, no one said anything for a few minutes. Small improvements would make the experience better and eating hot food, especially when we had to wait for it, is important as well. read more

The fact I've given many high ratings should add credibility to this low rating I'm assigning this particular Zaxby's location. I'll give it a two stars. Reasons - - I was afraid to buy the wings based on several prior experiences at this location - they typically use the super-Fatty wings that obviously must be cheaper for them to purchase. - So, this time I ordered the kickin' chicken sandwich which was not perfect but not horrible - but hey, that's an easy one to keep from messing up. - The sweet tea was near empty and the sugar was not dissolved completely. - I can't get over the low quality of the wings they typically use. I guess I've punished myself for going several times hoping it would be different. - Going forward, I'll make the extra drive to the Sugarloaf location instead. read more

There were 10 people working. One was well trained and working hard. It took 10 minutes to take our order and we were second in line...after a customer walked out for waiting too long to order. It took another 15 minutes to get our order. There were 6 people waiting to receive their orders. They were out of honey mustard and lite ranch dressing. Three people returned after leaving, because their order was not complete or filled correctly. This is a management problem, and we have noticed it getting worse the last 3 times we have come to the Hwy 78 and Killian Hill location. Now, we will go elsewhere, as did the customers who walked out. The drive through line was 15 cars deep...and we didn't wonder why! The food is great, but the service untenable!!! read more

Who's in charge at this store? We expect to wait when we come to this Zaxbys...usually a longer wait than any other Zaxbys we visit. On Aug 26, 7pm, we waited for 30 min from getting into line to getting our food at window. What happened during those 30 min made me wonder if there was a mgr on duty. When we got to the speaker to order after 15 min in line, there was 5 min of crackling and silence from the intercom/speaker. Finally a young woman took our order. Then once we get to the window, I could see the reason for the slow service: there were teens running the whole show and they did not care how long the drive thru line was or how long we'd waited. There were enough workers. But there was not enough work happening. Everyone honestly seemed high. The young lady who took my payment was moving really slowly. There was another women with her underwear purposely showing who seemed to be serving a customer who placed a drive up order. I guess part of their order was omitted so while I waited at the window for my order, this worker came between my car and the drive thru window and asked the window cashier for an order of fries. This is where her underwear were on full display :-( After 10 min at window I was finally handed my order. Mind blown, I drive away. A minute later my kid says instead of his kiddie finger meal, he got a box of fries. I know how this happened (see above re. Customer doing drive up order). You're running your customers away. Food is good. We ordered the big family meal, it's a good value. I didn't care for their French fries but the chips were yummy. My only complaint is when we went to order the big meal (that's on a poster next to the register) the cashier didn't know what we were talking about and literally backed away from her cash register... Didn't say anything, just backed away and someone else took over. It was really odd, a normal person would say "Let me get someone to help you" before awkwardly backing away from the register. read more

Took 30 minutes to get my Togo order and even after the long wait it was wrong. When I confronted the cashier about it she rolled her eyes.

A young man who serves in the National Guard was in uniform last night and he and his wife visited your store. When they never received their food they asked the line/shift mgr about it and he found their ticket and discovered that their food had been thrown away. The line/shift mgr told them it had been thrown away and that the employee who threw it away told him they wouldn't serve "him". Their food was remade and they took it and went home. From what I understand from the family the store Mgr, as well as the corporate office, is saying that it was a Door Dash order and was over 30 min old. They did not order their Door Dash, if so why would they have been there to pick it up? The line/shift mgr didn't offer to reimburse them for the meal, store management has found a reason to say nothing happened, and corporate is doing the corporate thing. Everyone is allowed an opinion. But if you don't feel comfortable serving someone, ask one of your co-workers to do you a favor. And, don't sweep it under the rug with excuses. Will take a better reason than what has been given for me to feel that Zaxby's deserves my business. read more

We both had chicken salads that were perfect. Very impressed with the attentiveness to the details from their associates and general manager. My husband and I were in the drive thru ordering 2-salads and the young lady kept saying you want 4 salads. My husband corrected her and she was silent. The next voice we hear is a young man saying he doesn't like the way my husband was talking to his co-worker and refused to serve us. What???? He only told her we needed 2- salads not 4-. She said 4-two of each. He asked where are you getting 4-from, we only need 2-Cobb grilled chicken salads. We called back to complain to a manager who said protocol allows them to refuse service if they feel disrespected. I told her employees need to understand what is disrespectful. That conversation was not disrespectful. She said they are trying to teach them. She offered us 2- free salads, which we wii take. However, I am still going to complain at the corporate level and will never patronize this Zaxby's again. The rudeness by these young workers is on another level. When i was a kid, I always got the kids meal with 2 fingers, fries, and a chocolate chip cookie (as I forgot what it's called). Now I've been getting the 4 fingers plate and, though i miss the chocolate chip cookie, this is one of my favorite plates of all time. The chicken is always juicy and the coleslaw is really good unless it's overpowered by the mayonnaise taste. Not a fan of crinkle fries, but the seasoning makes up for it. This place a hit or miss, based off who You get at the window (drive through). If you get the big black girl then tough luck because she has an attitude over every little thing. I'm surprised she's been working there for this long since she evidently doesn't want to be there. It's ok if you have anybody else because the rest of the staff is good. Food is alright, good but not amazing and they're hella stingy with the fries, on top of that the fries don't even buss (taste good) for real. Good luck if you go. This is the smallest Zaxbys I have ever seen. At lunch on Saturday there was only 3 people working. 2 in the back and a girl at the order register. The cooks seemed to be working very good, but the girl on the front was sitting at a back table on her phone and eating out of a Steak n Shake bag. The tables were not being cleaned when someone left, there was a spilled drink on the table and seat of one booth, and 2 others had crumbs and sauce on them. There was no ketchup in the dispenser, had to go to front yo ask for some, and there was nobody to be found. I needed a knife, then again, no one to be found. Finally a cook had to stop his job and give me a knife. If this had been my first visit to a Zaxbys, I would NEVER go back. It was an aweful experience. read more

While I was ordering my food at the speaker box, the young lady kept repeating my order back to me wrong. It was either she didn't get what I said or said a completely different order. Her name was Lana. I get to the window and she had ice in every drink when I asked for no ice for every drink. She redoes the drinks and I pull off. My mother who is in the passenger seat takes a sip of her tea and it's unsweetened. Now we're feeling like we've been played with. I call and I speak to Shane. I tell him everything and said I'm coming back for a refund, he replies "I'll go ahead and take care of that for you." When I get there, Lloyd comes to the counter and I have to repeat everything I just said to Shane. I go to insert the card for the refund and it's amount reads: $4.22. I told Lloyd that Shane stated I'm getting a refund for my order. He asks Shane which is doing orders in the back and Shane replies, "well I've misspoke." I tell Lloyd that him misspeaking has nothing to do with me because he just said he'll take care of that as to a reply of me stating I'm coming back for a refund. Shane is stating the refund was for the drinks then said "I was only going to fix the drinks for her." There's a difference between misspeaking and telling a customer one thing versus you meaning something completely different in the back of your head. I then ask Lloyd for a corporate number and he tells me Zaxbys no longer has a number and he's the general manager. Ok, cool. I got the refund for the drinks and I'm going to need Shane's words to be stand so I can get the entire refund that we BOTH agreed to over the phone. I already email Zaxby's and know how everything works because I've previously worked there in 2018, I have my ways of getting in contact with management. read more

This is my favorite location of zaxbys in the area. Food is always hot and good. Service is always fast. They messed up on my food one time and fixed it with no problems and quick, also thew in a free meal. The staff is very nice and always smiling. Great place read more
