I have been seeing Zaynah for about 2 years now and seriously was in misery when I first started acupuncture. I had been experiencing a severe colitis flare that eventually landed me in the hospital where I was diagnosed with C-diff as well as the ulcerative colitis. I had been prescribed a medication that my insurance didn't cover and that had no generic alternative. I decided to try acupuncture as I was struggling to function in my life with the constant pain. I have literally had shoulder pain for as long as I can remember. I have been dealing with an on going shoulder problem that has lead to pain in other parts for my body. The last few days I have been experiencing pain in my hands when trying to grip things. Frustrated with the pain I went on a search for a local acupuncturist to seek immediate treatment, being that I had to call-out for work. I managed to find Zaynah's contact on her alma mater website. She was able to treat me on a short notice and Yelp brought it to my attention that she did it on her day off, how sweet of her! Zaynah was a very easy person to talk. I first came across Dr. Shabo from an Instagram posting. She's been helping me for over a year now! I went to her originally for the chronic migraines and to get off the medication i had been taking for over 3 years for my headaches. What i didn't know was the amazing person i was going to meet. The headaches have lessen the sciatica is better. She gives me tremendous advice on food i should stay away, exercises and if I've have questions about something, she gives a lot of information and is very thorough. Her skills as an acupuncturist are legit. I felt significantly better after going to her weekly for a month. Her interpersonal skills are what I found lacking. She was terse and bordering on unkind once or twice, which I found shocking. I spoke with others that had worked with her who said the same thing in different ways. I wouldn't recommend this person to anyone who is sensitive. I wish her well, but ultimately came away feeling hurt. read more

Dr. Shabo has been treating me for several years for various aliments. Some of which include; inflammation, sciatica, lower back pain, menopause, and even the common cold.
