Planned a day in Fort Morgan after watching the HGTV series on this town. I am familiar with the town as my aunt lives nearby, so I was definitely excited to see the changes that have been made. Zazzy Cafe is definitely pretty sweet. The before and after is amazing and so hip. I can tell that this is a place where locals like to hang out, chat and have a great meal. The interior space is well designed and so much fun. I love all of the bright colors and the openness of the space. The food is fresh and different for a small town. It's not your typical American joint, but has an elevated cafe menu along with tons of tasty drinks. Peachberry Castle - a peach and raspberry tea. Incredibly good. I wish I got it in a large. Chicken Artichoke Flatbread. I could eat this every day. All of the flavors were incorporated flawlessly and the balsamic vinegar added that extra goodness. The house salad that comes with it was a pleasant surprise as well and had the freshest taste. It's gonna be hard to come back to Fort Morgan and not eat here. Very cute. Lots of coffee options that are unique and quirky. I tried an orange and dark chocolate iced latte. Very sweet and very chocolate . But the coffee is delish! The blueberry muffins was moist and filled with large blueberries. The muffin was very sweet but slight over powered by vanilla . It took a minute for the blueberry flavor to shine. You're offered the choice of eating inside or to go, inside could also include the are directly outside the cafe. The HGTV make over is a big draw here. So they were overwhelmed on a Friday morning. The service was pleasant but there was a several minute time lag between ordering and getting the coffee. Growing pains for sure but it's so worth the wait read more

Got my go-to oat milk mocha, and it was just right. Had to try the egg pie, which was similar to an ample quiche with hash browns baked in. Comes with fruit and toast. Hubby got the breakfast burrito - more of a panini. The salsa was more like stewed tomatoes, which he didn't care for, but I ate them. Friendly, fast service! Dogs are allowed in the front outside seating area, but it's very small with one table. read more

Enjoyed the relaxing environment along with the fresh and delicious food. I had their Italian sandwich with potato salad. It really hit the spot since we had been driving around looking fir somewhere to eat for awhile. The cookies looked sooo good but I resisted this time. The next time I may just have to try them :). I didn't catch the person's name who was working but she was really sweet and helpful. There was art from a local artist on the walls. There were a variety of tables--a big community table for larger groups, several booths as well as smaller tables. I loved the 2 beautiful comfy chairs in the back. Cute little mom and pop cafe in downtown Fort Morgan - only a couple minutes down the road from the Interstate. They have a small variety of panini's, sandwiches, and salads. Soups are available on cooler days or else there is a sign saying "too warm for soup". Order at the counter and don't forget to grab a coffee. They have a number of iced, hot and smoothie coffee drinks. Many syrups and one milk alternative, almond milk. I had the turkey panini with artichoke spread. Was quite good with fresh ingredients. There was a small potato salad, but I wasn't a huge fan of it. Seemed homemade though. Later I got a iced late to go. I had ordered a medium, and wished I ordered a small. It was awesome! I just am bad at finishing my ice coffees. There are a decent amount of seats. About 6 booths, two comfy chairs, two small tables, and one large table in the center. We drive back-and-forth on I76 multiple times a year. And, TBH, Fort Morgan always looks just another interstate town (fast food, cheap-ish hotels, etc.). But this past weekend, my wife wanted to have something other than fast food for dinner. She looked online and decided we should try Zazzy's. The food is great, the staff are friendly (and funny), the place is clean. It's only 5 minutes from the interstate and the service is quick. So, on the one hand it's waaay better than fast food. You order at the counter and then take a seat while your food is prepared. The coffee is delicious and servers walk around refilling cups as necessary. The food is also really, really good. I had the breakfast biscuit with egg, cheese and bacon. On a second trip back through town, I had the egg pie with sausage special and it was amazing. My friend ordered the egg pie with artichoke and she enjoyed it as well. Wanted to love it, and it seems like a lot of people do because they were very crowded on a Wednesday morning. (Not sure if they were locals or tourists though?) The swings are awesome. The people are nice. I liked that they had books available to read and some cute souvenirs to buy. Bad news is they were definitely not prepared for the number of customers there (likely as a result of HGTV feature?) I did appreciate that an employee let us know that they were putting together an order and would be right with us, but we waited longer than I would expect and there was a line of people behind us by the time someone from the staff came out to take orders. The BLT was good; coffee was good; bagel was good, but the hummus (both kinds) was completely flavorless; seriously did not taste like anything. I write to you, the Yelpiverse, on my way across the country. I've been towing a U-Haul the 1600 miles from Detroit to Denver with my sister as copilot, Our stomachs as alert as our eyes weary. We've never been to Fort Morgan but we give it a chance--a mile off the highway and the quickest right turn and you're at Zazzy Cafe. A relatively unassuming store front, but after 60 seconds of investigating the complete menu, is revealed to be surprisingly comprehensive. We realized quickly why this place holds a 5 star rating; Chef Robert takes great care of every customer with thoughtful preparation and service. Coffee so smooth you hardly notice you cleaned the cup in one gulp. We may never be back here again, but what a lovely experience we had, if only the once. read more
