Zebrano is a bar in London's SoHo neighborhood known for good music and good vibes. Staff is fair and easy to deal with. It is a bit small inside but the music was still pumping. My cousin was told because he is Black and alone he cannot enter this bar, because" I DONT HAVE A white person to watch me" this is not OK, there was 3 white women who that entered without "a person" anyone that's knows him knows that he is not a "trouble maker". We were simply coming out of the bathroom, she had one drink and was not making any sort of scene whatsoever, and they just decided to kick her out. My brother and I were visiting London from the U.S., and when we needed a place to go to after doing some pub crawls, this place stayed open. There was a good vibe here, and the service was good. We got in with no hassle, and one of the nights, we even got some drink coupons on the way in. Both times we went, we brought some girls... Billed as a "Smart, Friendly Cocktail Bar, Club and Restaurant" and I have to agree! As soon as you walk through the door, there is a friendly welcome. The staff are all really helpful and friendly. Nice club atmosphere. The best thing is the happy hour is long, starts at 5pm to midnight on Mondays and Tuesdays, to 10pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays and to 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Good DJ music and the night we were there Omar, soul singer, songwriter had his gig there and got everyone on the floor. Spacious, fun place. Will definitely go back. read more

Our last night in London and we were looking to relax with some drinks. As with most places that are open late in Soho, the music was LOUD but for some reason more tolerable in here then the other joints we tried. They know how to mix their drinks, the Old fashioned is awesome, they really take care in making it. Nice staff who are friendly and on the ball! I forget the name of the girl in the front bar now but she was on fire with the drinks. They came fast and made perfectly. I went to Zebrano last night with friends. We were just walking by when the guy on the door enticed us in with half price drinks until 9pm. We couldn't refuse and the bar maid was nice enough to grab some extra bar stools so that most of us could sit. From the outside it looks like a tiny place but once inside it opened up to a 3 level bar and nightclub. The inside is decorated nicely and although it was largely empty the atmosphere was still good. During the happy our they had Becks & San Miguel for £1.75, a 50% discount and a selection of cocktails and wines at half the usual price too. From the outside Zebrano small and sultry, but once inside you realise that it's actually a sprawling multi-room nightclub. The reason I'm giving Zebrano four stars is because manages something that few other bars do: it feels busy but there are still spots where you can stand and talk without being squished or splashed with a drunk girl's vodka cranberry. The bar in the main room is manned by bartenders who actually care about serving people quickly and efficiently - they have a bit of New York hustle. Through the back is a dance floor with a decent DJ, and up a few steps a lounge that can be reserved for groups (I counted three birthday parties). There is yet another lounge upstairs on the mezzanine with its own bar. With so many rooms the only pitfall is that you may lose your friends in the shuffle. read more

Good for large groups as they have a booking system and tables. If you are a serious boozer then turn up for the happy hour and load up. Cocktails were ok but nothing special. The now defunct LAB was much better for example. I can confirm that Saturday nights are crowded and popular. If you can gyrate on the dancefloor then you will be popular. read more

My girl latoya and I walked around the area for a long time, checking out the menus restaurants post on their front doors before settling on this one. Turns out it's also a bar/lounge too; maybe we'll come back to see how it is in that department. Bathroom has that vibe downstairs, with the attendant that has various goodies and shoves paper towels at you. I can get it myself thanks. The staff was a little snooty at first, maybe because of our outfits..we weren't dressed up in black everybody else in the place. But they warmed up to us when they realized we have good manners! I say my pleases and thankyous all the time; even with bad service cause you never knooow (the fate of my food from the kitchen to my table is in their hands! literally!) Besides that, I ordered the Zebrano burger..which was amazinggg! I loved it! The meat was so tender and flavorful. The chips that went with it were perfect; along with the spicy sweet sour sauce. All the flavors went well with eachother, it was the perfect end to my long day. Good food makes me happy. read more

The best nights for Zebranos is Thursday and Friday nights when the weekend has just begun. There is a large dance floor in the basement...and you can dance to your hearts content...Though it can get a little crowded. It takes a little while to get served at the bar but hey - it is a London Bar after all.... the music is pretty good and the atmosphere is okay. I've walked past this place many times but it was only on a friends recent birthday that i actually ventured into the venue. I was quite surprised at how big the bar is, stretching back beyond the main bar with seating upstairs. The venue is a beautiful red colour and has funky anime pictures on the wall which match the young crowd, arty, fun crowd that was present. We deposited ourselves on some comfy chairs and took advantage of some good cocktails and bar snacks. The music and atmosphere was great, the prices were the normal 'slightly expensive but we're in Soho so' kind of price and there was table service which was a blessing. If you must go to Zebranos, then you should definitely pick this Zebrano over its sad and scary little sister off of Kingly Street. Zebranos Greek Street hosts a good time party vibe playing commercial music and drawing a fun twenty sumthin crowd. Good for a pre-night warm up or a dance all night long, and although drinks service is slow you could, if you wanted to, find a corner to chill out and chat whilst watching all the party goers shake their thangs. After dining at Pho, we found ourselves back on Greek St. in Soho looking for more drink bargains when we were lured into Zebrano by the sidewalk sign advertising half-price margaritas. This was more of a touristy spot than Jazz After Dark a few doors down. Turns out all drinks were half off that evening. The music was loud and the DJ had a terrible turntable scratch technique. UGH. A rowdy crowd prevailed including a loud tatted-up young lady with the best MLE (multicultural London English) accent I've heard. Mutual admiration between us Americans and her. Our Romanian waiter was friendly and earnest and implored us to visit his country on our next vacation. My first hour here was pretty much intolerable except for the incredible Old Fashioned created by the barstaff. They use Maker's Mark (WIN), take great care that the splash of bitters is just that (WIN), have some excellently crafted garnish (WIN), and THEY STIR IT FOR 5 WHOLE MINUTES! (DOUBLE WIN!). Needless to say, I'm very picky when it comes to my whiskey drinks as there are an incredible amount of things that can go wrong and any one element will wreck it. But when it's good...it's oh so good. The downside is that until you build up your buzz, Zebrano is too much. The music is redonkulously loud to the extent I couldn't hear myself although I was shouting (and I'm a loud guy) so it was impossible to hold a conversation. Once that first drink took ahold (and the following two), it was perfect. It's small, but you can dance like mad, sing your heart out, and practice your non-verbal pick up lines. There is an upstairs area but unfortunately there was a private party so was unable to check it out. Free entry before 10, but be warned the place doesn't get going until 11. It's only a fiver to get in most of the time so that's not too bad if you want to get there later. Overall, I had a blast and that's what you want out of a place. It's not pretentious, you can relax and just have fun, and the drinks are spectacular. read more

My impression this place seemed to act as an upper market bar - you know shiny entrance with guest list and interior with lights on the wall and I think there were mirrors too. But since we all probably know acting as something is actually not the same as being something, they lost me immediately. Yes, I do admit, these kind of places are not my scene. To me, they are outdated, cheap without any originality or idea or virtue or any point.. The really loud music at 7pm on Friday evening, was not so great... Happy hour from 8-9 is great. This review is based on two visits. The first was a dinner visit on a Tuesday evening. I chose it based on the fact that they accepted Gourmet Society card and their menu wasn't like other pub food, a bit more fancy. It was not very busy, which was good because I was there to catch up with a friend we got some quiet time. Then they had live music, the girl who performed that night had a lovely voice and sang very well, my friend and I stayed a bit longer than we expected to just to listen to her for longer. The food was good, as expected. We both had a great night. My second visit was due to a friend from America visiting, and a whole group of people wanted to go to a drinking establishment after our dinner at Patara, and I chose Zebrano's as it was just next door and because I enjoyed my last visit here. I made a reservation expecting we would only be at dinner for no longer than 2 hours, well people were late for dinner, I hopped to Zebrano's to inform them I would be late and not to give away my booking. We ended up being an hour late to the booking, and they managed to hold my tables. Some random people took over my tables because I was late, when I brought it to the attention of the staff, they took care of it for me. Happy hour until 9pm. Drinks are half price. Visited this bar recently for a friends birthday and was quite suprised at how good it was, having walked past it on many occasions. First thing you notice is the lovely interior, all deep red walls and moody lighting with some brilliant manga-esque/gorillaz type artwork adorning the walls. The bar itself is well stocked and not too expensive and we were also offered table service which is always nice. some members of the group ordered food which they said was great though I stuck to the cocktails which were definately good. For a night club, Zebrano is in the middle tier. The place is quite sizable for groups and you can have your own private party on their basement floor. I was crashing my friend's friend's private party but I was quite curious why they didn't open the bar downstairs if there's private party. Drinks are quite pricey (£9.50 for cocktails, £8.50 for long drinks) so I'd suggest go there during happy hour and you will get two glasses of those with the price of one. Can't get any better with happy hour ;). Those who fancy cocktails, you should try the karamel cocktails, it's surprisingly good! And those who like sweet cocktails, try the lychee gunmen. I'd recommend this place for its cocktails but not so much for dancing. The DJ plays a wide range of music without good transition between one song to another so you can stop while guessing what he's gonna play next and that's not good. You want to dance all the way because the music it is too good to skip a beat! They play old schools including songs from earth, wind, and fire, Jackson five and so on. No never again! Not that the experience was negative, but not my scene. Food was good, drinks more than reasonably priced for Soho, however not the croud I am used to. Zebrano's is the kind of place that people stumble accross and get in to spend a night of cheesy music and drunken embraces. If you're looking to be underpoured and overcharged then this is your place! A large group of us reserved a table and all had issues with the bartenders at the ground floor back bar. We downloaded their app prior to arrival to get the specials advertised on their website. However, the bartenders continuously tried to overcharge us then call over management and make a big deal when we showed them the app to get the correct price. After refusing to pay the higher price and asking for the correct one, one staff member said to me, "no one ever complains about a difference of £2". I booked an area for my birthday last week and I am in disbelief at how one of friends in a wheelchair was treated. One bouncer stood in front of the wheelchair and obstructed his passage to the dance floor, without even a shred of compassion. I don't like this place, having had to go here for 2 different birthdays on various occasions I thought the second time round it might have redeemed itself but I was wrong. It's not my type of music but I can deal with that if it is a pleasant place but no it wasn't my type of place either. I had heard good things about this place and went in with a Drinki (free drink app) - told we had to pay entrance (not normally the case). Asked to see the manager, who despite being next to us, spoke through his door lady. Telling us this was only for females (the free drink), then said we could come in. We were about to take our seats, showed the waiter our phones, who said with that app we must drink at bar (the place was empty). I went here Thursday with a group of friends. First of all they did not find us seating, A waitress told us she will come and serve us in a few minutes we had to wait 30 minutes to be served! and three groups were served before us! then we complained, and while we ate, the trainee waitress asked for us to pay the bill while we eat!!! we then complained and a staff member offered free drinks on several occasions, but we declined. I would come to the summation that things run at the top are flawed with inexperienced staff and an extremely extremely rude manager. I feel that this place would appeal to drunken hipsters and hoodies, it has less class than a brothel, not relating to the decor and location, but relating to the rude staff, inadequate managerial style and behavior. It was horrible service. One of the worst bars I have ever experienced, with rubbery steak, salty drinks and 3 day old waitresses on training. I have already made small against the manager for his services, and hopefully they will be investigated. This place will always remain a very bad memory that turned my night around, Being an accountant maybe puts me in the 'boring' bracket on a night out. but in all my life I can honestly say I have never ever experienced anything as bad as this in my life. read more
