This place was a clean rest stop with not too many Travelers since they're probably at the next exit over to grab a few drinks and snacks that are much cheaper than the ones here. Everything was working and this place is pretty modern too that is taken care of pretty well in well-maintained. Plenty of parking spots here too. Overall, I found it as a casual rest stop along the road.

The State of Michigan government recently made a reauest of proposal to update hand drying in the bathrooms by replacing the old World Dryer Model A's with the brand new VERDEdri's, which is a nice upgrade. The outside is kept very trimmed and manicured. This location has a large truck parking lot that will fill up and get busy during the week. The weekends... it's dead lol. The greenspace is plentiful, so your dog or your legs will enjoy the stretch. If you need to stop, this a decent place that has a consistently clean public bathroom.

I assume because it was afternoon on Sunday there was a high volume traffic making look of the women's restroom. The sinks and toilets were orange but that would be due to the iron in the water in these parts although one toilet was missing the seat (stall #4) and there was not a sign on the door not to use or out of service. There is some space to run dogs and stretch your legs on your way up north. Lots of great shaded areas if you want to have a picnic. The facilities are always clean and taken care of - I always like stopping here. The fall decorations were so cute and made me smile. Definitely one of the better rest areas I've been to in Michigan!

It was later in the day however, so I just chalked it up to the amount of people using it, and thought maybe it hadn't be cleaned since this morning. However, after entering the bathroom, it was disgusting. The walls were dirty, the stalls had stains, and the toilets appeared as if they hadn't been cleaned since they were first put in. There was no soap in the hand dispensers, all four or so of them, the water was freezing, and the dryers were the only things that actually worked. It was a gross experience. I would rather go in the woods than this rest stop.

It is a great, available, convenient place to stretch my legs and to relieve myself after being cooped up in the car and they also have a separate area that has maps and vending machines if you need to grab a quick snack as well as bringing your pets to relieve here. I was able to pull over, find a parking spot and not have an accident. Whew! Now that the emergency is over, I can stop to appreciate that this is a clean, convenient and well maintained rest area. Two bathrooms for each so that they can close one for cleaning and still leave the other open. Maps of the local area. Vending machines with more beverages (uh, pass) and candies and a machine with ice cream. All that's missing are shady spots to catch a nap on a hot day.
