    Fresh oysters--yes, please!

If you're looking for an amazing caterer for your next event then you're in luck! Your search can stop here because you've found them! Zeffert & Gold was one of the caterers that were recommended to us by our wedding venue, but after doing a ton of research and talking with several caterers in the area, it was an easy decision because Zeffert & Gold were simply the best. I was coordinating my wedding in Annapolis from Los Angeles, so I was a little nervous managing the process at first. They simplified everything and were readily available, even during the peak of wedding season. Their customer service blew me away and they were extremely accommodating. All you really need to do is figure out what kind of setup you want and it's easy from there. We decided to do a station set up for our wedding because we loved all the menu options. It's a bit daunting with all the selections, but I really appreciated that everyone there offered their opinion on their favorite food items and the most popular, too. We set up a tasting appointment and it ended up being the owner that hosted us that day. He was great and made it a fun experience. We were really impressed by the menu we tasted and decided to sign the dotted line. After the tasting menu, I worked mainly with Samantha and she was also there on our wedding day. She was absolutely fantastic. But, that's not really the information you want to know, right? They're a caterer--you want to hear about their delicious food! Well, that I can do! For our menu, keep in mind we had a couple vegans in our family, we started the cocktail hour with the crab dip (OMG SO AMAZING), shrimp & grits spoon (BOMB), Chicken Tikka Masala (so tasty), charcuterie board, brie en brioche (Yes, you need this one!), Juicy Lucy's (who doesn't love a good slider), General Tso's cauliflower (delicious vegan option), and seasonal veggies with hummus & ranch. We also upgraded to the fresh oyster shucker during the cocktail hour and it was a HUGE HIT!!!! For dinner, we had 3 stations. They were super accommodating when we asked if we could swap around some of the options, but for the most part we kept to the station options. We did the Pampas Grill station (Lamb, chicken, warm potato salad and veggies), Short Rib station (short rib, roasted beet salad and baguette) and we upgraded to the Charm City Short Plate station (crab cakes were the best, caprese salad and tasty tater tots). The food was absolutely incredible. We had so many people tell us that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. My grandfather is from Baltimore, so he's kinda my gauge with crab cakes and he LOVED them, so if you're a fan, you should definitely get them. And what's a wedding without awesome drinks to keep the partying going!? Well, they did an amazing job here, too. We're wine and whiskey nerds, so we wanted to supply the alcohol, but I couldn't do it without Samantha. She helped us figure out how much of everything we needed for the wedding and our pre/post wedding events, even though they were not bartending the other two events. She really went above and beyond. When I was indecisive on the drinks she sent me a list of recommended beverages to help inspire me. When I finally made a decision, she figured out the best way to pull everything together. They used very fresh ingredients, made their own syrups and recommended the glasses that would look best. I posted a picture of the menu for our signature cocktails we chose and the set up at the bar. Needless to say, everyone had a blast and loved the drinks they served up. I just wish we could have partied all night. From the very start until we closed down the night, Zeffert & Gold were incredible. My wedding came together exactly as I envisioned and that would not have happened without Samantha and her team. Not only do they go above and beyond to deliver the best food, make sure all the little details look fantastic, but they are experienced and it makes everything run like clockwork. I wish I lived closer, so I could hire them for all my events. They were a breeze to work with, served our guests amazing food and delivered outstanding customer service. I can't recommend them enough. Cheers!

The pricing was reasonable and my mother and I agree - WORTH EVERY PENNY. We both are high strung individuals so having Nora there in the last month leading up to the big day was super helpful. We tend to leave things to the last minute but Nora stayed on us and made sure she got everything she needed from us. Nora attended our rehearsal and helped choreograph the ceremony. The day of the ceremony she coordinated with the DJ for all announcements and music cues. As a control freak myself, I wanted everything to be perfect. Because I didn't have to yell, scream, or even think on my big day, Nora MADE my day perfect. One of the other reviewers said they had the ceremony and reception in the same place and were worried about space. SAME HERE. I was ready to help move our rental furniture around in my wedding dress after the ceremony. I was worried I'd have to tell people "Alright we do! Now everyone pick up a chair and take it over to a table..." but no such thing happened. Nora coordinated the catering staff and her assistant/husband to get the ceremony broken down and dinner set up during cocktail hour while the bridal party took pictures. The biggest rave I have about Nora is that about a week before my wedding I sent her a three page email (single spaced) with every anxiety, fear, and wedding nightmare I've had in the past year and a half. It was definitely an unhinged email. Nora gave me the most valuable wedding gift I could have gotten then: Peace of Mind. She sent me a reply that both validated my feelings and helped me calm down a bit. If I ever need to plan another wedding or help a friend/sibling plan a wedding, I'm strongly recommending Nora's services. Next time, though, I may just have to hire NoLo for the entire wedding planning package because I'm sure NoLo will plan a magical wedding!

I just felt like I needed someone objective to keep me sane and help me with the little details. I met with the girls as they offered a "day of" package for a great price that was within my budget. It took about 5 minutes of hellos and small talk to know these ladies were THE BEST investment of my entire wedding! They reminded me of little details I forgot about and helped to handle those little details. I was immediately at ease and didn't worry about a thing from then on. They worked great with the on site coordinator and the day went as smoothly as it could have. If I started to think about something that may have been forgot, they just flashed me a smile to let me know they had already handled it. They were extremely professional but had fun as well because that is the only way I would have it! Even though it was a "day of" package, they took the time to meet with me a few times beforehand to go over things and offered to hold onto any decor I needed stored until the day. If i sent an email about something, they responded immediately. (And believe me, I sent quite a few emails haha). They truly were my little guardian angels that day and I can't thank them enough for all they did for me. I can say with 100% honesty that I had an absolute blast at my wedding and enjoyed every second of it and I truly believe that is because of Nora and Lorinda.

We worked together to set item level budgets and design choices (e.g. flowers, printing, etc.). However, each proposal we received was over budget. Communication also became a problem. When she overlooked scheduling problem between the venders and our requirements, she became defensive about her faults. Also, she promised she would only manage one marriage a weekend, but on our weekend she had two weddings. I wish the relationship would have worked better and I hope she learns from our concerns.

We hired…read moreDiana to help with wedding day coordination, but in fact she ended up helping with planning, crisis management, and general advice in the months leading up to the wedding. Given that vendors often try to double as event planners (especially caterers, venues, and DJs), Diana had the difficult job of coordinating the coordinators. She did so with aplomb: building positive relationships with the other vendors, soliciting input on the master schedule, maintaining flexibility, and helping cultivate a sense of joy on the big day. She could easily charge double or triple for her services. Diana helped with the following decisions and more: creating a floor plan, hiring transportation for the wedding day (we used three vendors: a hotel shuttle, an all-purpose van, and a limo), hiring and negotiating a better rate for drapes, brainstorming ideas, communicating with other vendors, buying small items that we forgot (tea candles, a car decorating kit, and a guest book), lending us some common wedding items (a ring pillow, candle holders, and a "bird cage" for gifts), delivering ribbons for the wedding cake, and creating a master schedule. We also appreciated that Diana was fine with the unusual gender roles in our planning process, as the groom handled most of the planning. We found that some vendors were quite sexist in this respect, but Diana was fine with communicating with both of us. In short, we can't emphasize enough how thankful we are for Diana's help.

Where to begin? Ok Amy and her exceptional team were the BEST DECISION my now husband and I made!…read moreOur journey began meeting Amy at an LGBT+ Wedding Expo because neither one of us have been to a gay wedding or knew anything about weddings, especially non-traditional weddings. Amy was so sweet, kind, and professional and reassuring with all of my questions. I interviewed 5 different wedding planners and chose Amy when I noticed the price was right and she offered so much help and assistance with everything a newlywed would need help with. Let me tell you, she lied about nothing to this date! Leading up to the wedding, 7 months until the big day, our all-inclusive venue went out of business abruptly! We had to start from the BEGINNING! I'll never forget calling Amy panicking and feeling lost, angry, sad, mad, confused, defeated, etc. She immediately reassured me that everything would work out and she'd help us with everything. We had only a partial package with her and we were asking for services from a full package, and she reminded me that this was an emergency that we did not ask for. Amy and Abby sent over recommendations for venues, caterers, DJ's, Cake, Photographers, Videographers, etc. and March 2026 I was one busy guy but I ran contracts through Amy and her team and they reviewed each one and gave the best advice possible without saying "You need to go with them" or just giving one option. Overall, almost everyone we went with was an option from Amy and her team based off what we wanted. Wedding Day! The fun part, our wedding was PERFECT! When I say we were not allowed to be on our phones and not a single worry in the world occurred, nothing bad was allowed to reach us at all. We had a point of contact (someone from our wedding party) to answer all questions and check on us at the hotel during hair and make-up. Amy and her team (Mandy and Emma) made the flow of our wedding work perfectly! Our officiant missed our vows section and Amy strategically was able to help fit our vows into the reception which seemed to have worked even better. Amy and her team truly were there for us every second of the wedding and most importantly gave us a second to breathe after the ceremony. Long story short, EVERYONE should have a wedding planner, but not just a wedding planner, Amy Frances wedding planning! Our day could not have been as perfect as it was without her. She has become our friend at this point. She is organized, she is a problem solver, she is understanding, she is everything when it comes to celebrating love! Besides my husband and I finding each other, we are so thankful we found Amy for our wedding!

She helped us navigate all the questions of planning a wedding, and was always ready to jump in for us. She was flexible with our rehearsal too, as we weren't able to have it at the venue due to scheduling reasons, but she was happy to have it elsewhere and work with us. She was very communicative and easy to talk to, and quick to answer all the last minute questions and soothe the final anxieties as we got closer to the day (and there were many, as the forecast was looking quite stormy in the final week--thankfully the rain held off!). She kept us as calm as possible. On the actual day, she was worth her weight in gold, helping to manage everything and make sure it ran as smoothly as it could. We had a small issue with our shuttle vendor, which I didn't know about until it was handled and dealt with, all thanks to Amy. She made sure we knew what we needed to, and that we weren't bothered by the details we didn't need to know. I can whole heartedly recommend Amy for anyone planning a wedding!
