My husband and I were tasked with bringing his late father's old Subaru to Washington from Idaho upon his passing. Little did we know how very much this car had wrong with it. We were on a cross country road trip when our transmission failed and stopped here for them to take a look. While we did not end up getting the truck repaired due to it costing more than the car was worth (old, 200,000 mile truck), they were wonderful! I'd like to thank Kris and his staff immensely for helping me when my truck broke down climbing the Blues, while hauling my horses from Monroe, WA. to a Western Games National competition in Craig, CO. Though Kris'shop was busy with other jobs, on a Thursday afternoon, he took his time to give an initial diagnosis of my possible problem, (trani fluid leaking heavily), topped off my fluid, and double checked that the trani was working OK, so that I could drop our horses overnight at the Rodeo grounds, and get a hotel. The next morning, Kris and his team brought my truck into the shop to inspect the trani, and better diagnose the issue. Monday, his crew worked on replacing my cracked Torque converter; finishing it Monday evening, and for a reasonable price. By Tuesday, I was able to load up my horses, and get them back home; as the Hwy through eastern OR was now closed due to the fires and I couldn't get to CO. While I wasn't able to have the vacation I had planned on, Kris and his team treated me professionally and with empathy, and were able to get me back on the road, in a few days. My car overheated going up Cabbage Hill while traveling to Ketchum Idaho due to a broken radiator leading to a disconnected radiator hose. Although they were very busy, Kris at Zeigler recognized my situation and was extremely helpful. Although, they did not have a new radiator in stock, Ziegler's were able to do a temporary fix that allowed me to complete my trip with no issues. All at a reasonable price and a quick turn around. No better place to break down than Pendleton, many knowledgeable mechanics in this area. Was towed here in the middle of the night last summer with a broken fuel pump. They were busy but had us out of there by 11 am the next morning and the pump was in the tank, not a quick or easy job for most. Their crew of mechanics know their stuff. I was very comfortable with them working on my prized camper van, a '94 Chevy G30 Roadtrek. It was expensive, but worth it for the speed and expertise. read more

1994 350 dodge van broke down outside of Pendelton on our way from Portland to Marfa Texas. Not only did this shop see us same day, but they fixed it right up and got us on our way in a matter of just a few hours! This place is awesome my family and I were coming home from a family outing passing through northern Oregon. My van begin to shift funny over 300 miles from home. They got me right in gave me an honest estimate of the problem and took really good care! Highly recommend Zeigler Transmission and Auto Repair. My car broke down about 20 miles West of Pendleton on Christmas Eve. It was towed to Ziegler. As soon as they opened at 7:30am on the 26th they were looking at my car and determining what needed to be done to get me and my family back on the road. My sister took her car here because it was the closest shop from where she broke down,Traveling from Portland to Boise. These guys had the car for nearly a month and the car even had an aftermarket warranty. (This means the warranty pays for a majority of repairs). They refused to work with her and I regarding what product we wanted installed. (Back story)..... these warranty companies will pay a certain dollar amount. And you the customer pay the difference. We offered to purchase a new transmission from the dealership out of pocket and let warranty company pay the labor. Ziegler's refused saying they will only install the used transmission that the warranty company would supply.????? Wtf. I can understand them not wanting us to buy our own parts due to markup and let's be honest it's a business they need to make money. but this is a new part from a dealership. And they could have taken the maximum payout from the warranty with zero liability. Further more after the work was finally completed my sister had to take it to another shop in Boise because they left the starter wires loose. I mean come on guys if you insist on doing things "your way". At least do a good job. read more

On a road trip to Pendleton our car started smelling of gasoline. A local recommended Zeigler's as the best in town and boy were they right! They checked under the car, found a cracked and leaking fuel pump, found someone in town who had the part, and installed the new one all in 1.5 hours. They were friendly, professional, and courteous. My starter died on a road trip from Seattle to Indiana for the holidays at 5 pm on a Saturday evening. Every auto repair shop in Pendleton was closed and didn't open until Monday morning. We saw the great reviews for Zeigler's Transmission and decided to get towed there and hope they could fit us in on Monday. One of the technicians was there after hours, took our keys and information, and assured us they would work on it first thing on Monday. By the time I called Monday morning they were almost done working on it and even picked us up from our hotel so we didn't have to try to maneuver the not so great public transportation in town! Lastly, as a young woman, I feel like I have to fight so hard to not be taken advantage of by auto repair shops. I usually have to get my dad involved in order to be taken seriously which is extremely frustrating. Zeigler's was the exact opposite! I felt like they took me seriously and charged me an extremely fair price. I can't say thank you enough! I highly recommend them! read more

Horrible experience. Car started over heating as I was coming into town. Stopped for the night and went to Ziglers first thing the next morning. $230 for a $40 thermostat I was on the road again to the next town with an over heating car. But their guarantee is safe with an out of state customer. Buyer beware. read more

I was traveling through Pendelton on the freeway and broke a fan belt. I coasted off the off ramp. It was. 4:30 in the afternoon. I looked up auto service on my phone and found Zeilger's auto service and contacted them by phone. Thy said come on down so I could continue my trip.
