Our waiter was JD, and he was very funny and very helpful. I had a glass of Chardonnay. For my meal, I had Fish & Chips with green beans, and Mike had tea and a Reuben with onion rings. The fish and chips were SO good! We were here once before, and I remembered that they add some sort of sweet salt to their fries, so I ordered mine without. Although I'd rather have mushy peas with my fish, the green beans were exceptional. Mike ate his entire Reuben and loved it. The onion rings were very tasty too. I had to get most of mine to-go, so I'm looking forward to having the rest later tonight! We'll be back. Highly recommended!

We shared a fried chicken breast main dish and a side Caesar salad. The salad croutons were picked off because we noticed those were also stale and chewy - this made the salad edible at least. Our chicken came out and we both immediately noticed it tasted funny, like a soapy dish water marinade. The breading was edible but sadly we couldn't make a meal out of it. So we left hungry and added this location to our list of places never to visit again when we are in the area. I don't know what this location is doing that can't be replicated from the other more popular location, but having the advantage of being one of the few restaurants open on Sunday, I would suggest management fix whatever is happening in the kitchen so they might succeed long term.

Ryan was THE best choice for the General Manager. He is doing an excellent job with his staff and the ambiance of the restaurant. Our server, Gage, was a prime example and reflection of the care going into this place. Gage was so sweet and took very good care of us. Now for the food. Everything was so flavorful and worth every penny. The kitchen staff knows what they're doing, and they are killing the game. We started off with the pork belly bites and the shrimp toast for appetizers. That spicy aioli mixed with the chili glaze on the pork belly was top tier! The shrimp toast was perfectly crispy and delicious. The entrees were just as much of a slam dunk as the appetizers. I had the beer braised beef short rib with the mashed potatoes. Talk about melt in your mouth. The short rib was so tender that I was able to pull every single bite off the bone with my fork using very little effort. It was MELT IN YOUR MOUTH TENDER! My husband had the Tasso brined double cut pork chop with collard greens. The Demi-glace was absolutely delicious and the greens were well seasoned. My father-in-law had the wedge salad that he asked to spruce up with a few extra dressings, and they had no qualms meeting his requests. We were too stuffed to try dessert, but we will absolutely be back to try it another time. The pricing was very fair for the quality of food and atmosphere. All of the staff were super kind. I was really impressed and that level of care and helpfulness was truly amazing. I love the vibe and ambiance here. It is such an awesome spot to get some time in the outdoors and have a chill vibe while enjoying a drink! This has become one of my favorite day time spots in Lake Charles!
