Love Bills! It is a great place to have a beach bar feel in Lake Charles! It's right on the sand and right by the water! They have tables in the sand as well as high top tables under a covering. There is a bar under the shading with barstools as well! The bartenders are always very nice and accommodating! I ordered the strawberry swirl margarita, and was told the strawberry machine wasn't working at the moment. The kind bartender suggested that she could make me something super similar by hand mixing strawberry puree into the base frozen margarita! She took her time and even layered it perfectly! I was really impressed and that level of care and helpfulness was truly amazing. I love the vibe and ambiance here. It is such an awesome spot to get some time in the outdoors and have a chill vibe while enjoying a drink! This has become one of my favorite day time spots in Lake Charles! Also it is BEAUTIFUL at sunset! Highly recommend. read more

The service is absolutely horrible. 3-4 people working behind the bar. I was part of a 7 top that sat down and they literally stared at us until a waitress came inform us we all had to be 21 to get food, no alcohol involved. Be mindful everyone is our group was over 21 except for 1 which was a few months shy. Absolute clown show. After I confronted the guy behind the bar he said we needed a parent. I told them I was almost 30 and was the legal guardian of the group. They then gave menus and reseated us. Then NEVER came to take orders. Pathetic! definitely need to do better. read more

Got to watch some of the college football games that were on. Food was good. Menu was pretty much bar food type. We had a good time and it did what we needed it to do. You can get appetizers for under $10, an entree runs between $11-16, and sides for around $5. They also serve milkshakes, along with beer, frozen margaritas or pina coladas, and classic cocktails. Would leave zero stars if it allowed!!! Waited 2 and a half hours for a chicken sandwich and 2 burgers. And in the end didn't get anything. Found Bill's Burger & Bar on the Golden Nugget website and ordered and paid for my food through their Waitr app while I played with my kids in the lazy river h20 pool. This was at 5:40 pm. The website gave me an estimated delivery time of 7:29pm. That in itself was entirely too long but I didn't think it would actually take that long. I would have picked it up but it said the carryout option was unavailable. I waited patiently but my kids were getting too hungry so I decided to go see what was taking so long. At the same time I get a text from Waitr saying my food is late and it would be an additional 40 minutes after my estimated delivery time. So I ordered at 5:40pm, and now my food was estimated to be ready at 8:10pm. Absolutely ridiculous. The person from Waitr told me that they made my food, but lost the ticket, so they gave my food to someone else. And they didn't realize that it was my order until the original delivery time of 7:29pm. I went to Bill's and asked to speak to the manager on duty. Manager David came to speak with me and didn't say anything except they "must have lost the order". He didn't apologize or offer any way to fix the issue. I have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism from a manager. I reminded him that I ordered the food at 5:40pm and I have 2 hungry kids who were crying because they haven't eaten and it's now 7:45pm and still no food. He had nothing to say, no apology, no sympathy, nothing. I asked for a refund and to cancel my order. Walked over to one of the other restaurants at the casino , ordered pizza and a few burgers and my food was ready in less than 20 minutes. I will never come back to Bill's Burgers ever again and unfortunately don't think I will ever come back to the Golden Nugget either. My family drove here from Texas very often but will not be returning because of the horrible experience we had. read more

Came to Bill's since we were staying inside the Golden Nugget and wanted to get a quick bite in between gambling sessions. We did scout around at the other restaurants but this place seemed to be the best option since they were jam packed. There was about an hour wait to be seated. Once seated I ordered 5 mini sliders on a bed of fries thinking it was about the size of the White Castle sliders...I was wrong. These were about a medium sized slider. After taking my first bite, I wasn't thrilled about them. I figured since most people were intoxicated, the food would taste better for them. Nope, never again. I feel like I got robbed. The burgers were just bad. Neither my wife or myself enjoyed our food. It was just off. Maybe "New York" in the name should have tipped me off or the "CNN AWARD WINNING" should have steered me away... live and learn. The meat was "off" not even sure it was real beef. The buns were cold. I just spent $100 for lunch here. Don't get me wrong, I am not a cheepo. But for that kind of money the food and service should be good. This was some of the absolutely worse food I have eaten. Billy Cheesesteak sandwich was dry as a bone and had no flavor. My son had a burger that even Wimpy wouldn't eat. $35 for both sandwiches. BTW - they were both COLD. $32 for 2 mixed drinks each...4 total $20 for chips/salsa, FF, Onion rings. For the price of the sandwich, FF/OR should be included for God's sake. Do not go here if you are looking for good food at a reasonable price. I could have eaten at Salt Grass for less. Bottom line...unless you are independently wealthy and have a hankering for piss poor quality food, don't go here. read more

Also tried the smoked bacon chili, was was so different and a must try. Everything tasted great! We had a party of 11 dine at Bill's. We were celebrating a retirement and looked toward to a good dining experience. Little did we know, the overpriced, cold food, with bad waitstaff would change our mind about this establishment. There was another party where we were sat to which our waitress also served. The fans die the outside patio were blowing on us so badly that it was blowing things off the table. We asked several times if they could be turned down. We were put off and by the time our food got there and them turning the fans off, our food was cold. Our waitress was not very attentive and once someone had to get up to find her. We made a trip, from Houston, especially to eat here, as the menu on the Google page said they still have our okra and pickles, and my favorite, the big bird blt. Ridiculously and unnecessarily expensive for the poor quality of food i received. The burgers are as good as those from Five Guys. The portions small for the price. Burgers and fries are seperate in the menu. Their chili cheese fries cost way too much for canned chili and cheese with mediocre fries. We went to bills bar and burger for our first time last night since it's been opened. There has only been four reviews written on it, one wasn't very nice. My husband and I decided that we wanted to go and make a decision for ourselves. Well let me tell you what thrilled is all I can say, this place was so much fun and just really really good food. I didn't have A complaint one. When we walked up to the bar and sat down we were greeted by a young lady named Taylor and she was very friendly and fun. So she asked us what we would like to drink. I had a Bud Light my husband had a Dos Equis. Then she asked if we were dining we said we would be after we unwound for a moment so she handed us menus. Then she asked if we had any questions regarding the menu and we said nope not yet, we told her he wanted to have a couple drinks and just relax before ordering food. I ordered the sliders there's three of them. I also got a side of regular fries. Now I like my hamburger usually with Pico de gallo, guacamole, and either mustard or ketchup depending on what I feel like that day. I don't want cheese and special sauce and lettuce and tomato and pickle because I want to taste the actual burger so that I know that I'm judging you for it. My husband ordered the nugget burger it had to patties smoked bacon chili, cheddar cheese, pepper jack cheese, jalapeños, crispy buffalo onions, and a barbecue sauce then it was served with lettuce tomato and pickle. When my food came out I pulled the lids off of all three hamburgers and two of them were very large hamburger patties and one not so much. Well instead of complaining I simply took my fork and cut a piece off of the huge one and stuck it on the third bun crisis solved. The buns were soft the meat was juicy oh I loved them. My husband nugget he absolutely enjoyed it was huge messy sloppy just the way you want a big burger. His only complaint if you call it that is, he's from Pittsburgh and he doesn't like a sweet barbecue sauce which this had. But he ate every bit of it. The french fries were hot and they were thin shoestring style potatoes and they were so good. We finished eating we enjoyed a couple more drinks there was a band playing there were tons of parents and children and people of all ages in bathing suit's and having a good time. It's on a beach that's what you expect. Well let's see as for the servers and the bartenders there were five girls there three of them had on shorts and a T-shirt and two of them had on a red bikinis but the bottoms they had a sarong around them really adorable and perfect fitting for their environment. I suggest if you're in lake Charles go to eat at bills burger!! You can take your kids let them play on the beach while you wait for the food to come those mini sliders are perfect for children. We will continue to dine there, we come to town every week or work we don't gamble but we eat at the casino on Wednesdays and we absolutely enjoyed ourselves. read more

I went to pick up some burgers to try Bill's Out for the first time. I was in Austin the week and had In and Out and P Terry's. I looked over the menu and ordered to go from the bartender(Don't wait for the girls in bikini's). I got the Fat Cat and the Ranch Hand. It was $27 for the both burgers, the Kitchen took about 12 mins to get them out to me. I took them to my room to eat with my brother(took about 10 mins). I ate the Fat Cat and was very happy with the flavor of the meat and the toppings. The only issue I had was my English muffin(Which is the bun on this burger) was really soft and fell apart while I was eating it. My brother had a similar experience with the Ranch Hand(that has a normal bun). I really liked the flavor and Hand no problem with the speed of the service(normally is very bad in casinos) I'll be trying some more burgers in the future. read more

I had the complete opposite experience as the yelper below. My husband and I shared the wings (which were really good!), the guac burger (I don't remember their name for it), and chilli cheese fries. Way too much food even with us sharing! Yes the prices are high but I expect that for any place within a casino. The only downside we had, is that we wanted to eat their Monday night but were unable to find a table. Great burgers and good atmosphere in the summer. Prices are decent and the service is good. But during the peak summer time it tends to get very busy causing you have to wait longer to get waited on and to get your food. If you're drinking beer bring a koozie with you because your beer will get hot quick during the summer with the breeze blowing. My friend and I visited Bill's Bar and Burger when we were out and just wanted a drink and something to snack on. We decided to try the guacamole and sliders to share. There was a picture of the sliders (see below, because that was what we saw) on the column next to our table and we thought, "wow that looks good". The guacamole came and it was in a super small container, bland with no taste, served with stale tortilla chips that were so thin that they would break when you tried to dip the guac. It also came with a small container of what I could only describe as jarred picante sauce. But we brushed it off and thought, well at least sliders are coming soon. The sliders arrived and they were ridiculous. It looked like they took a normal sized patty and cut it in three and split it into three dinner rolls, resulting in one slider with a decent sized patty and two with what was trimmed off the sides. They barely made a spot on the bun. The poor, barely dressed server asked how everything was and I told her those sliders looked nothing like the picture, to which she replied "oh, they didn't?". That led me to believe she doesn't even look at what she is bringing to the table, nor does she care. These were completely over-priced, poorly prepared dishes and I can't imagine that the nearly naked girls would make up for the $12 drinks and missing meat. read more
