I had looked around Austin to find the right therapist for me and she checked all the boxes. She is very knowledgeable about anatomy, is really intuitive with her touch and her abilities to find my problem areas and unravel them, her pressure is spot on, and she does amazing assisted stretching which really helps with both my flexibility and my recovery from exercise. She was my go to therapist for about seven years, even though her location required about a 45 minute drive each way from where I was living in Pflugerville. I typically saw her twice a month, and the experience was well worth the drive. A few years ago, a couple of family and work changes made it nearly impossible to make the drive down to her studio. I'm happy to say that that has changed now and I'm able to get back to see her on a regular basis. I had an amazing session with her today and she was able to resolve some lingering issues in my hips and lower back and I felt great after leaving her studio. I'm turning 70 shortly, and after decades as an Army Paratrooper, working out, and now as a cyclist and distance runner, I need more than rest and the stretching, warm ups and cool downs I can do to keep my body moving. Truly the best massage I have ever had! I've never found anyone I like enough or feel remarkable relief from to make massage part of my weekly schedule until I found Melody. I just moved to the area (yes, I did my time in CA) and have been working out more than I ever have and started having some really bad hip flexor/lower back pain along with normal muscle fatigue. Best Massage Ever. And for a few reasons... 1) Melody is great. Her massage was amazing and tailors her massage around your needs. I have been getting massages for the past 10 years and she is, by far, my favorite. 2) She runs her own show so there is no dealing with impersonal corporate nonsense like you would find at any massage chains. She makes scheduling very easy and seamless: I texted her the day before and, boom, I was in the books. This is great because I travel sometimes and my schedule can change very quickly. It is nice to know I can text Melody instead of calling a chain and being put on hold for 10 minutes. 3) The room is very clean and quiet. She puts on good music and offers a lavender or eucalyptus scent to put on the face covering when you are face down. I appreciate her paperless intake, text friendly scheduling and personalized massage. She even taught me how to prevent the back pain I was experiencing (I was using my foam roller incorrectly). Her private suite is located in an office park. During the massage, she asked me several times if the pressure was okay (this is rare in my experience) and used essential oils for deeper relaxation. WOW! I received a gift certificate for Christmas from my husband because he knows I love massages and always need one. It's March 1st and I just now got a chance to get one. Melody did not disappoint! I have several issues included knee pain, sciatica, super tight neck, and shoulders, therefore, a really good deep tissue massage is very important but not that easy to find! Look no further! Melody is the most knowledgeable and talented massage therapist I have been to. She is excellent at general massage and deep tissue. She has become my go-to massage therapist. Until 1 month ago, every single day, I was waking up with backache, leg sore, and headache. A month ago, I set an appoinment with her. Before my first appointment, she asked to know what my complains were, and she focused to my problems of body. So far in a month, I have been 3 times with her to get over my pains for a 3 weeks, and am very happy with her work. I have been waking up without any pain since her massage sessions!
