I wouldn't know what any other traditional doctor could do for them, so I just lived like that. A lot of things happened to my physical health since my daughter was born over 4 years ago. My body forgot how to sleep all night after years of sleepless nights. And now, even my child sleeps through the night on most occasions, I still was not. My neck hadn't recovered and had been aching after the breastfeeding. On top of that, I had overall very low energy level. So, even I had time to do things, I just didn't have any motivation/energy to do them. Additionally, pretty much all my life I have been having painful periods. At every visit Dr. Lanh checks on me, on my symptoms, how I feel and look, she checks pulse and tongue, and from there she makes a decision for best treatment for me on that day. After having regular treatments with Dr. Lanh, pretty much all these conditions improved (I sleep better, my neck feels better, I am able to go through my periods without taking any painkillers. I came to the level of tolerable pain now, while normally I would take 3 Advils a day for first two days of my cycle). After each session I have a feeling of lightness in my body and a pleasantly strange sensation in my face as if it was "depuffed". If you have some conditions, that you wouldn't know where to go to with them, this is the place. Update March 2025: I've been going to Lanh Acupuncture for about 1.5 years now. I started at 2-3 times a week, then transitioned to one time a week and recently I've been going every other week. I give biggest credit to my acupuncture sessions for pulling me out from place of no energy after having a baby and caring for her. I have regained my energy and more control over my life. I was able to introduce and maintain more physical activities in my days, which was too hard to even think about 1.5 years ago. I am also trying to follow Dr. Lan's recommendations in regards of eating, drinking and going to bed at earlier time. And it looks like everything together is working well for me. Except general maintenance, during our sessions we address any current problems I may have, like some aches in my body, e.g. stiff neck or jaw, as well as my emotional state. I always feel that every session is customized not only to me, but also to me on the day of the treatment, as Dr. Lan takes time to check all the things that she can, as well as to listen to any concerns I may have. I am not very happy that Dr. Lan moved her office to Bee Cave, as this doubled commute time for me, but I keep going there because it's worth it! Update December 2025: I keep having my bi-weekly sessions and feel that they both help me to maintain my energy levels and stay healthier overall. However, the main focus of the session was to address a patch of bothersome, unsightly varicose and spider veins on my leg that I've had since my late-teens.
