Yeah, I'm probably done with this place. They've started this new thing recently where they hound you to upgrade your massage services, even after you're already laying down on the table trying to get comfortable. When you go to pay, they hound you for a minimum $20 tip. I'm fine paying that (I pay that amount and more anyways) but don't breathe down my neck while I'm checking out. Besides the service, the condition of the place is questionable. They put these plastic, dusty flowers on top of each massage table. In the rooms, there's artifacts filled with dust, dirty walls, and supplies on the ground. Those things should be packed away, not stored in the corner of the massage room. The pro is you'll get a pretty good massage. I've seen maybe five masseuses there and each time I got what I needed. All in all, I'm taking my business elsewhere from now on. Very weird experience here tonight unlike any other massage I've ever had. First thing I noticed was how loud it was. It was right next to a martial arts studio, which I guess could not be helped, but every few minutes you hear kids chanting and stuff. Very distracting. The massage was fine, although the lady didn't introduce herself or ask about spots I'd like her to focus on. Kind of awkward, but not a dealbreaker. However, during the massage, she pulled my underwear down a bit lower than I had it without saying anything. I didn't address it but I thought it was a weird thing to do. She also used a hot towel near the end to wipe off all the lotion she used. I didn't really understand why that was necessary. I have never really had any poor experiences getting a message. They charge 70 for an hour which is fine although higher then most places in the area. Then as I was going to leave I was expected to pay a thirty dollar tip +. This is poor business practice the last time I came in I was kind and left a 20 dollar tip which is the proper amount. I don't ever want to come back to this place. Why would anyone want to come some where that hounds them for a tip. The woman at the front told me they don't pay them anything so tip is all they get. Massage is ok but the front desk rep was forcing me to leave a certain amount of tip and demanded I leave a larger amount which means she wasn't even grateful that I was even considering leaving a tip. Update! I decided to make another appointment. It was an ok massage. I had to continue repeating myself excessively. With me saying less pressure and to get certain knots, etc. The masseuse demanded a $50 tip for great service. She did not give great service. Her face was at most 4" from the receipt. While I signed and tipped. That is extremely rude, nosy, and you are unprofessional. How could anyone want to go back after that?! I've been here twice. I've been debating on giving this another go. The atmosphere is quiet. The staff is mostly polite. The scheduling seems troublesome. I waited both times between 10 and 20 minutes. The bathroom was a bit messy. The entrance and the waiting area aren't too clean. The carpet is heavily stained. The walls are dirty as well as other walls in the building. The seats are old and uncomfortable. There is filtered water available. I have had two wonderful massages. A great and fitting pressure amount. They both were beneficial and helpful. Yet, unfortunately, not two great experiences as a whole. I was asked how much I'm tipping before the appointment even ended. Jenny (the masseuse) asked or said at least 12 times. Good massage, massage good, right? Then she insisted that $25 was too little of a tip. For a one hour massage. She tries the puppy face to get more of a tip. Pros:: I went to Zen Garden Spa in German town, MD today, and met Nina, she looks skinny but she has strong hands, as I am tall, big and heavy guy and I had to ask her to give me a medium massage. The first time 60 minutes is $50 & 90 minutes is $80. I got 90 minutes massage and it was thorough. Nina spent much time on upper back and lower back with much time on resolving the knot issue, as she knows what she is doing. Pretty cozy, lights can be dimmed which is a good thing, and the table is warm; yeh trust me it was warm and lightly heated making it too comfortable ( never seen that before anywhere). Cons:: draw back is the enterace door has a door bell which rings pretty loud every time anyone walks in and it disrupts Nina's attention and my sleep. and making her listem to who came in & she try to listen is any one asking a question or talking about her. Other, walls are not to the roof so I can hear the next door person and his previous experiences:(. Suggestion:: Lower down the volume of the door bell and raise the walls to make it a close room with a door. read more

worst massage i have ever received. Me and my boyfriend did a 60 min couple massage and it was so bad that i was seriously thinking of just walking out. Alert I got touched inappropriately - what i thought was an accident repeated again and I had to walk out on the "massage". Also she kept pouring oil over me, especially over my gluteus area, so that even my front was covered in oil. It smelled really bad, almost old. Sketchy place. Please be cautious. Nothing bad really happened, but the vibe was off and the massage hurt like hell. Even if there was no danger, and the price was very good, the massage wasn't relaxing at all, and it didn't feel like she really knew what she was doing. There are other way better places. It's best to avoid this one. They don't make you sign any waiver and there's no communication whatsoever. At the very least, this place was unprofessional.
