A friend shared that she'd had a good massage w Angel here. So I thought I would try for myself! Karen texted me directions ahead of time to ensure I didn't get lost. Angel is friendly, gentle and the massage I chose was a 90 min Swedish and it was relaxing. The price is also reasonable! My husband and I just had a very effective massage at Meridian Wellness. We were both very satisfied and pleased with the entire experience. I had the deep tissue massage and he had the Swiss massage. The lady who did my massage had very soft hands and yet they were strong and effective for a deep tissue massage. I was in need of a massage and found Meridian Wellness Center through Yelp. With a 5 star rating, I figured why not. I was able to score an appointment the day of, on a Saturday early afternoon at that. Yay! I arrived a few minutes before my appointment time and was brought back to the room immediately. Karen asked if I had any issues she should know about and then got to work. A few minutes into the massage, Mary took over, which I was informed about. The pressure was great, medium to slightly hard at times. I liked how Mary would check in from time to time, making sure I was still doing okay. She knew the right places to massage. It was great! You can also do a few minutes with the hot stones, which I've never tried before. It felt a little weird at first, but my muscle were more relaxed afterwards. When you are in full relaxation mode, 60 minutes goes by quick. Unfortunately I wasn't able to extend my time as there were already other appoints after me. If you are able to, I highly recommend the 90 minutes Swedish massage. The place is cozy, and as others previously mentioned, the rooms have no doors (just a curtain). At times I could hear another conversation, but it didn't really bother me. The room I was in also had another bed, for a dual massage. I plan on coming back to Meridian for massages in the future as prices are really reasonable and the massage itself is fantastic. If I knew beforehand, I would have brought more cash as they have a cash only deal going on...buy 5 massages for $46/hour rather than the normal $60. read more

This place is completely 5 star worthy! I've been here so many times I can't even count. The owner, Karen, is so amazing!! I've seen a few different massage therapists here but Karen is my absolute favorite. She is hard to get so make sure you make an appointment with her. She truly knows what she is doing and is able to pinpoint exactly where you tell her. She is also good at finding places you didn't even know hurt! Lol. I always feel so good when I leave here. You also can't beat the prices. $50 for 1 hour is great! The atmosphere is tranquil and lovely. I love the purple scheme they have going on. The beds are always nicely made and they always offer to turn the warmer on for you. I am so glad I found this gem when I first moved to Gaithersburg. I've recommended them to so many people. Then I remember one of my friends mentioned Meridan, after seeing their Yelp page coated in 5 star reviews, I had to check it out. They operate at the moment by appointments only. Karen is great in communication. She will call or text you back promptly. Its located in Gaithersburg in an nice office park. You wait in your car until its your appointment. The office is nice and cozy. All payments are done virtually. Venmo, Paypal, Zelle or Cashapp. The room was clean and was prep when I arrived. Very cozy and inviting. With soothing music playing in the background so I can unwind. Mary was my masseuse. Very nice and professional. She definitely knows how to massage. Will apply pressure to your liking! I'm hesitant to leave this review only because I finally found a great, reasonably priced spa and I don't want the secret to get out! I've been to Meridian twice so far and will say that of the spa's I've tried in the area, they are by far the most knowledgable. Sometimes reflexology can feel like you're just being poked a lot, but these woman work it into the massage in a very relaxing way. My only cons are 1. the rooms are a little brighter than I'm used to. The lights could be slightly dimmer and 2. another blanket on the bed in the winter would really help keep the warmth in (my toes got a little cold last time). Overall, I have a feeling I'll be coming here pretty regularly from here on out. At these prices, I can afford to make it a habit :) read more

One of my favorite locations for massages! I had my first massage with Mary and the prices are amazing, especially for this area. They offer a 5 for $200 (in cash). I was able to schedule a day of appointment and she provided me with the perfect pressure and experience. They are truly professionals and I got my massage for the full hour. They also have complimentary hot stones at the end and it felt super relaxing. The room has soft music playing, but I definitely think there could be more work on the ambiance of the rooms. I first want to thank Karen and her staff member for her diligence at providing thorough massage service and her excellent customer service skills I appreciate how easy it is to set up an appointment at this inn. For old-comers, Karen will provide you a number that you can text preferred times and she will coordinate. She is very responsive with getting you checked in. I really really like it when people are organized about coordinations so I appreciate the communication and the fast responsiveness. As for the massage service, Karen has an elite dedicated staff to take care of all your aches. These people have a keen sense of finding the right pressure spots on your back and relieving them of knots, tensions, and wev infliction you have. They're very deliberate about how they massage your body and seem very thorough about customizing their massage for your body. I don't know how best to articulate it but the words that do come to my mind are thorough and deliberate. I also want to thank you guys for keeping the place clean and quiet. From the first massage to my most recent (and I've been there quite a few times) it's been nothing but the best. I usually call ahead of time to make an appointment in case there's a wait. I always get a deep tissue massage with hot stones. All the therapists are very well experienced and equally do an amazing job. This is my go to massage business. I've tried a few others in the area and just did not like them as much. This place is great. There are actual individual (many places are just separated by curtains or have a shared ceiling space which lets noise travel). The staff is excellent and definitely know what they are doing. Their prices are very reasonable and occasionally offer deals where you can buy a gift certificate for 5 massages, which brings the individual session's price down even more. I texted Meridian at 3:30pm on a Sunday about scheduling a 1 hr deep tissue massage and they responded with the price list and they were able to schedule me for 4pm! Hands down this was the best massage of my life. Cindy was my masseuse. You do get your own room but the entrance to the room only has curtain so you can hear if someone is walking in the hallway. It didn't bother me at all though, and they also play soft classical music in the room. When we started, she asked me what areas I'd like to focus on and suggested a few. I chose to focus on shoulders and lower back. Right away from the first hand movement I knew this was going to be an amazing massage because she found my shoulder knots immediately. Cindy was able to target ALL the places I felt tight and even some I didn't know needed attention. Whenever she came across a very tight area she told me that it was tight and asked if I wanted more or less pressure. She got deep into the muscles in ways no other masseuse has, seriously, and I've had about 10 massages at 3 different places that all had 4+ star reviews. I have a membership to this franchise place and I had booked a session online. Come time for my appointment and they didnt have me scheduled. I needed a masaage badly cause I threw out my back a couple days ago. I remembered one of my colleagues who told me about Meridian so I gave them a call. They said they had availability right at that moment so I went straight to their location. This was, by far, the best massage I've had.
