I had one of the most uncomfortable and disrespectful experiences I've ever had at a nail salon here. 4/30/26 During my pedicure, the technician repeatedly made rude and inappropriate comments toward me. She mocked my appearance, made comments about my relationship, and even made fun of a bruised toe I had, which was honestly humiliating. At one point, she commented on the price I was paying and implied I was "dumb" for it, which is completely unprofessional. I also offered to pay extra for a calf massage, and instead of accommodating or politely declining, she continued with the same dismissive and mocking attitude. On top of that, she made a comment suggesting I might not pay and joked about me going to jail, which felt extremely inappropriate and honestly intimidating. There were also moments where she spoke in another language while looking at me and laughing, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. I came in expecting a relaxing service and left feeling embarrassed and disrespected. No customer should be treated this way, especially when they are paying for a service.I would strongly recommend management addresses this kind of behavior immediately, because this is not acceptable in any professional setting. read more

I came in on Thursday and I really wanted to like this nail salon because I've heard so many good things about it. I called before hand and asked they would take a walk in and he said yes. So came in and they just asked what I needed and I needed a mani and pedi. They had to ladies working on me and they didn't talk to me nor asked if I needed a drink because they do offer drinks. But that's not the point, it's I paid extra for gel nails and my pedi looks clean but my mani was very sloppy. Had dried up gel on my fingers and she tried to cut it off with nail clippers which didn't work. My gel is already lifting and it hasn't even been a week. I just got my nails and my toenails done here. They look beautiful! Linn did both for me, and my friend had 2 other technicians do her mani and pedi. Everyone was super nice. The decor is pretty, I like the music they played softly in the background, it was peaceful and welcoming, and we didn't feel rushed. They also take appointments. I'm really excited about how long the builder gel is supposed to last. My friend said that hers lasted a month and she only got a new manicure because she wanted to fill in the new nail growth and change the color. It's easy to get here, too - right across from Ontario Mills Mall in the BJ'S parking lot. I'm excited about coming back here. I recommend. read more

EDIT AFTER SEEING THE OWNER'S RESPONSE: His rudeness and disrespect should speak for itself... I know for a fact that I reviewed the right place lol, and this guy sounds exactly like how I described. I'm glad they've made changes to the pricing since I did mention it was from a while back (again - I explained everything in detail and it was the truth). Regardless of the name, the shoe obviously fits! I really hope they learn to give better service for their sake but based on this response it's not looking good. *** There has been a little time since I wrote this review, and I still can't think of anything more positive to add. Yelp just sent out its annual reminder for Elites to update their reviews (or better yet, those unpublished drafts) so it's time to finally publish what still remains as the worst nail salon experience I've had... Zen Nail Bar 2 is the most painful mani-pedi I've ever had! I get my nails done frequently but wanted to give this place a try since we were visiting with family. I should have recognized the many red flags from the start. First off, know that they only do "adult pricing" if you take your kids. Angie was very adamant that they don't do kids pricing at all, which is fine because we weren't even asking or expecting it lol. But the immense emphasis on price when we first walked through the door should have been the first red flag. We got two mani-pedis. One for my toddler and one for me (regular polish for both, no gel or acrylics or dip or anything like that). I paid extra for a french tip design which was expected. She did keep trying to upsell me to get rid of my calluses (which I have none of) as well as other stuff I didn't want, much less need. She shamelessly showed disappointment when I picked the basic options for both mani and pedi because again, I didn't want or need the add-ons anyway. So be aware of this. The description they put on Yelp is just not accurate. Another red flag was them hurting me and gaslighting me after! I've never had an ingrown nail in my entire 34 years of living and this lady is trying to convince me that my nails don't grow "the right way" to justify how painful the nail cutting and "cleaning" was. She was hacking at my big toe even as I begged her for a break to breathe. I was literally screaming in pain and they gave zero Fs. My toe looked like a swollen baby tomato. Bright red. She even admitted that I don't have any ingrowns or problems otherwise, but that she THINKS I would have one "in the future" by the way my nails grow. At this point, if I do get one, it's because of the way she cut them which literally no one else has ever forcefully tried like that and is just plain wrong on so many levels. As I type this, it still hurts so bad! Which again, I've tried plenty of salons in my lifetime and not one other person has said that my nails grow "wrong" and are as ugly as she claims them to be. And other crap like I should never wear "gym shoes" because of how bad my toenails are. This lady is a JOKE because I've been paid for literal hand modeling and insulting me repeatedly just to make an extra sale is so outdated at this point. That's obviously the goal, so like why not just I don't know... be nice and give good service? I remember my nail tech also trying to shame me for being a teen mom... I had my kid when I was 30... lol... but even if I was as young as I looked, so what? I didn't come here for unsolicited insults. I wouldn't be surprised if they respond to this with even more gaslighting. She threw plenty of other insults my way, like saying that I'm weak and can't tolerate any pain and get this--that my toddler tolerated it better than me. Like first of all, WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO WHEN YOU ARE MARKETING LITERAL "ZEN" IN YOUR NAME? And second, who's gonna tell her that childbirth isn't exactly painless as well as most parts of motherhood. But I digress. Even Sonni (the owner?!) who was next to us on my right was doubling down on the gaslighting. He said it's NORMAL to experience "throbbing" pain for at least "24 HOURS" afterwards. I wish I was kidding but NOPE, HE REALLY DID SAY THAT. And basically was telling me to just deal with the pain. Such a ridiculous experience. I've noticed there are a ton of seemingly fake reviews on here and on Google so just be very aware. Read the not-so-positive reviews too because I see that others share the same sentiment that I do. Oh they also take photos of you without warning. People usually ask beforehand but she took some without my consent which I wanted her to delete. They also have way too many cameras throughout the place like it's Walmart or something. I hope they use this review to improve themselves because they did NOT pass the vibe check. Ambiance--who is she? Zen? Nope, not here. There are much better nail salons in the area. TL;DR: Go here if you want to be disrespected with continuous insults while your skin is being cut into painfully. Or you know, DON'T. read more

The cost of the pedicure, totaling $97 with the tip,is a bit excessive for my preference.. While the place is nice, people are friendly and professional, and the technician did a great job leg massage with scrub and lotion, along with some form of treatment in the water, the overall experience did not seem to justify the price tag. It's worth noting that the choice of service was made by my son (I only wanted a basic pedicure), and I never received a hot stone massage which I wouldn't want because I don't like them and I had sunburn on my legs which would have done serious further damage. I recall a previous establishment where I received a similar service for only $50, which included a thoughtful gift bag, drink and a gesture of appreciation by the owner and establishment. While I understand that beauty treatments come at a cost, and people deserve to earn a living the particular experience disproportionately expensive. read more
