The Mindzai crew made me TWO shirts, just because I asked semi-nicely. And they are my favorite SXSW 2k14 treasures. Mindzai produces excellent designs done by HARD-working people in the ATX. Greeted with excitement, owner Rochelle of Board & Brush had me check in on her iPad. Showed me to my seat where we chatted for a bit. I saw my project in its raw form. I'm so excited to tackle this project. This is actually my second time coming so I know a little of what is expected. Rochelle does an amazing job taking you step by step and helping you. Even if you're not a crafter, never even handled a paint brush, Rochelle, and her staff are very patient, and very helpful. You start off with a raw board of pine. You're given a couple minutes to release your stress on the board. Hammering marks using chicken wire, a hammer, a mallet, and a large screw. You'll sand it lightly, and then stain it. Then it's time to stencil. Using a semi dry brush, you'll dab your brush on the stencil. Give it a minute under the fan to dry and peal the stencil off. And you're pretty much done. You get an official Bb logo sticker to complete your project. I recommend signing and dating your project on the back. Viola you're an artist! The Fancy Marshmallow Co. owner, Tina, she is such a sweetheart. She set up her beautiful marshcuterie spread. All made from scratch. Soft, fluffy, and flavorful treats. She has the cutest treats. All kinds of shapes and sizes. My favorite is the strawberry champagne. Trust me, they are amazing. Tina also brought in her hot cocoa mix ingredients and we all got to make our own bag of hot cocoa mix to take home. And we got to pick our goodies from the marshcuterie and box them up in the cutest boxes with heart printed tissue paper. Such a sweet touch to a fun class. I highly recommend coming to Board & Brush. Such a fun girls night out. They are BYOB, so it's a great group celebration. The Fancy Marshmallow, such a cute boutique, I've been several times. About a week later, I was put in touch with one of their "senior-level writers" who called me for a brief interview. Although I had shared both a long-form and short form version of my current resume in addition to my LinkedIn profile, it was clear that my resume writer had not reviewed anything at all before our conversation. While she was very personable, she struggled to understand basic technical terms and concepts and could not offer any appreciable advice on what she expected to improve, but I decided to try and trust the process. About 15 days after paying for services, I received my first draft which was simply a typographical reformat of my existing resume riddled with broken English, misspelled words, and poor grammar. The writer had simply cut and pasted the bullets I'd written together, while attempting to cut out random words to make sentences shorter. The resulting product was nonsensical, shoddy, and embarrassing in every sense of the word. I took a few days to reflect on the best path forward, then contacted the company to explain that it was clear they were not headed in the right direction. I explained that I thought it would be fair to offer partial payment for time already expended, but did not wish to continue with my writer. I was immediately put in contact with the company president Jeremy who spent the next month exchanging emails with me about all the things he was doing to fix the situation, going as far as to personally rewrite my resume himself. Over the 12 emails we exchanged during that month, I continuously asked to see the file he was creating, but he continued to brush me off and produced excuse after excuse. Finally, after receiving no files, no drafts, not even a snipped of text from Jeremy, he told me to keep in touch on my results and stopped responding entirely. Literally. Never. Received. A Resume. I have now contacted the company dozens of times requesting status updates, asking about my LinkedIn review, and literally begging for anyone to explain or engage about actually delivering on any of the things I paid for. I have lost 50 days of my time trying to get the service I paid for, and now I am being completely ghosted, and have resorted to writing my resume myself. Avoid this company like the plague, check the other reviews here on yelp, don't get scammed.

Long story short I asked him to print shirts for me using a process that prints into the fabric. He said he could do it if I gave him the design by a certain date. I did as he asked. I didn't hear back for a few days, but when I finally did he said he was switching over to a process using vinyl. Although it's not what I wanted he convinced me I'd like his way of doing it and it looks great. They didn't. The shirts look like cheap iron ons you can hear crinkle like plastic when you pick them up. Basically Bharat ran out of time and used a cheaper process hoping to get my money. I lost money on the shirt sales because they look so cheap. I had an email exchange with him which I've posted below where he said he'd take care of me but he never got back, even after an email and a couple of calls. I don't think this is his normal way of doing business, so that's why it's so surprising to have had it happen to me. Sadly, I can't trust to use them again.
