I used to do all of my signs through Fastsigns, but I was never too happy with their printing, and, despite their moniker, they weren't all that fast...or cheap. Zepp, on the other hand is all of the things I love in life: efficient, fast, cheap, & friendly. Kinda like a well-performed wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am with a smile. They let you deal with everything via email, and take care of resizing and bleeds and all that jargon for ya. These guys really saved the day, I work for a non-profit charity organization that needed two 3x6 color vinyl banner for a ceremony/conference being held at the Hyatt in Long Beach. I am usually swamped with 1,000 things, and having vinyl decals of our logo and other images printed was the last thing I wanted to think about when it came to a big, complicated project. I popped by to see if Zepp could help me, and George was so willing to work with us even though I came in and dropped a (honestly, pretty burdensome) project on him with a 24 hour deadline. He called me to verify a couple of things, emailed proofs to me, and had my decals ready for pickup even before I needed them! I ordered services from Zepp Signs & Banners on May 30, 2012. I left a deposit of $150. George said he would email me a few logos. I waited until July 20, 2012 and didn't hear from him at all. I emailed him and requested a refund due to him not providing me the services he promised. He said he emailed me for which never happened. he said he thought I mentioned I was going to change the name. I said, "George arrow down on the email I just sent I emailed you the change in June 2012. His answer, "I don't give refunds." I only give credit. When you don't deliver on your promise of service. That is not an appropriate answer. He cashed the check 4 days after I had given it to him. Zepp's sign in the window advertises computer repair and I live right around the corner, so I went to see George about an old Sony Vaio all-in-one computer that turned on but wouldn't do anything, no-way-no-how. He takes computer repairs out to his son's business somewhere and returns them promptly to his shop, but there is a minimum overnight turnaround so make sure you're not in a big hurry. My machine came back working just fine, rock steady and fast. Cheap deal, about 40% less than the more upscale places. I would definitely consider them for any PC software related issues. Don't know about hardware repairs. read more

Wow! This will be my go-to place for my company's banners from now on! We had an emergency printing need for 2 banners that needed to be shipped to an expo in China on Wednesday. They weren't finished until TUESDAY and I thought there was no way I could find a company to get them done by the next day. I found Zepp on Yelp, read the reviews and sent them an email with my dilema. In minutes - George emailed me and said "send me the files" and I did. This was Tuesday night at 5:10pm. On Wednesday morning I called to see if the files were okay and barely got the words out when he said 'they are done and ready for pickup". I couldn't believe it! I raced down there and they were perfectly printed with grommets and everything! He said he had printed them at 3:00 in the morning and would NOT charge me a rush fee. 2 terrific banners for a whole $72 - unbelievable!! i needed banner for new biz, i went online found lots of deals for around $210, but decided i want to support local small biz people like myself, found george (zepp signs) who i still think is a nice guy, we agreed on a price of $300. simple design took 2 minutes to create. i paid half up front. he said he was going to email next day for approval, he never did or call for a week and a half !!! , till i stopped by his shop, he said he didn't have my phone # when it was on the banner design itself,he admitted he was wrong... nice guy, but business is business. you cant take paying customers for granite, especially these days...i don't enjoy writing bad reviews, but i had no choice in the matter... read more

Had sign made less than 5 years ago. Almost after a year started to come apart. Each year or so almost same issue. Repair guy they use never comes when he says. Previous sign from another vendor (no longer in CA) lasted almost 20 years never needing repairs. read more

OK- this is not like me to not support small businesses. However, Zepp Signs is the WORSE experience I have ever had. Despite the positive outcomes also noted on this site, please take my story into account: I recently started my own LLC, I needed sharp/classy business cards to represent my business. I provided George with a sketch to assist him with my design. He promised me that he would have the draft sent to me within 1 weeks time. With all do respect to his business, he instructed me to pay before printing- because customers have a history of requesting prints and never paying for them. I paid. To make a long story short: he took my money, I received the most tackiest design ever, when I told him that the design is not favorable he yelled and hung up on me! Yes, unbelievable- I was completely understandable to his operations and just provided the opinion that his work was not favorable. Did I do anything wrong? To this day I still do not have anything to show. I lost money and time. Bottom line: I do not recommend this business at all, under any circumstances... not even if he's your last resort. read more

We are a local family owned contracting company that needed some company shirts printed up and wanted to support a small local business and started searching for a business in the area to do business with. We came across Georgy (ha-ha) while driving from one job to another. After giving him all the details, we asked him if he could help us. He said yes and he could do it in one week. We gave him all the details and the logo on a Thursday and he said he would get back with us over the weekend. The following week on Tuesday we called him to find out what happened and he said he forgot and said he would take care of it right away. Two days later, after calling him, he gave us a quote. We said okay, let's move forward. He said he would send the draft to us for our approval and when he did, the design looked nothing like the original we sent or our description. We tried to work with him and help him understand what we needed and he got angry and added double the cost per shirt more to do that. After two and a half weeks of wasted time, that was it, we decided to go somewhere else and got the shirts done for the first price he quoted us and the design we wanted in one week. Bad, bad business ethics. Not a man of his word and poor communication skills also. We will never ever go to him again. read more

If there was a 1/2 star this business would be deserving of that rating. George the owner lacks creativity, professionalism, and overall service quality. I requested that business cards be designed for an upscale organization. I had a very short deadline, he was aware of that deadline, and missed that by a long shot. The design that I had to beg for after the deadline were horrible. I actually took the time to draw up a sample, he chose not to follow this design. This is the "cake-taker", he requested that I pay first. He claimed that many people burned him and thus he now requests money up front- no problem. Understood, business is business. I paid him and to this DAY I do not have one piece of material from him. The design was so horrible that I didn't want to print, because I told him that my design was unacceptable he started to argue with me. He shouted about how long he has been in this business, blah blah blah. Then he hung up on me. The story gets better: he refused to issue a refund even though he was told not to print anything.
