I must admit. The name caught my attention before I knew what it was. I just googled food near me and the name popped up. I did finally find the entrance after looking a bit. You have to enter from colfax. The main place was empty when I walked in. There are about 6 tables inside. Doesn't seem to be an eat in kind of restaurant. More for takeout I presume. Not a huge menu but I gave them a shot And ordered garlic noodles and shrimp. I also ordered the tropical crush limeade. I was extremely surprised when I received my order. Last two times I came and brought friends, even though they were busy, the customer service was good. However, the customer service I experienced today was terrible. I wasn't greeted upon walking in, I still spoke and said hi, and the employees offered nothing in return. I walked up to the counter and they didn't ask me what I wanted to order so I just began to order. I didn't get an "okay we'll have your order ready" or anything one of the employees just left to start getting my drink ready and the other one stood at the front counter and didn't say anything. All that being said the Coffee Horchata i ordered was amazing and probably the best I had from them. Maybe the little sprinkles of their attitudes enhanced the drink flavors. Who knows. I came here on Friday at 11:25 am and the doors were locked even though they open at 11am. After knocking the girl unlocked the door. I ordered food and a boba drink. The food took 20 minutes to cook and then when it was ready they informed me the boba needed to finish cooking. After another 5 minutes the boba was ready. I think it's ridiculous to open at 11am and not have boba ready until 11:45. I wish they would have communicated the wait time because I would have gone somewhere else, I was late returning to work from my lunch break because of this. Awful interaction with the staff. This place is located across from the Children's Hospital in a little strip mall. We got there about half hour before closing and there were three other groups of 4 in front of us. The lady behind the counter was a bit rude but I'm guessing 'cuz it was a bit close to closing time but still.. there's no room for all that. WHAT WE SWALLOWED: UBE MILKSHAKE: This was Ube overload. I opted for the milkshake as I wasn't in the mood for and icee or slushie situation. Bad call. My milkshake was FULL of boulder size ice chunks, which made it a bit unpleasant to drink. I don't really like chewing ice, especially not big chunks, but there were definitely chunks as they kept clogging up the bottom of my straw. The taste was OK, if you could get passed the icy chunks. POPCORN CHICKEN with GARLIC BUTTER SALT: Considering I stopped here especially to try their drinks, this popcorn chicken I ordered last minute and it was their saving grace. The chicken is great, well breaded without being overdone and the garlic butter salt was not too much if it wasn't completely drenched. That all ended when I stepped foot into this location, where I actually wanted to cry. The flavors and texture were not there especially for the boba. Plus, the food was oily and made my stomach say no-no. When coming to pick up my order which I placed online, including two drinks and one popcorn chicken box. As I picked up my order from the counter, I noticed that the popcorn chicken box was significantly lighter than usual. I opened the box to check and it was only half the box (as shown in picture attached), I asked the staff why it was only half and he said he's not sure why and usually they always measured it as one cup. I said that it was not like that all the last times I bought it (I always order the same thing). The staff apologized and said he's not sure why, but offered no compensation or any intention of filling my order up as it should be. The peach blossom green tea is good but my friend's strawberry lychee smoothie lacks all the strawberry and was all watery. I ordered a box of chicken, not half box. The map navigation took me to the entrance of the parking garage for the complex, but if you go straight through, Zero Degrees is on the west side of the complex and there is parking right out front. They were doing some painting (or something like that) when I went and had tarps all over right in front of the door. There were so many people going in and out that the guys working had to stop every few minutes to let someone through. Maybe it would be better for them to work on it while it's closed? SERVICE Friendly, but kind of slow. It was my lucky day (not) because the guy in front of me ordered about 10 beverages. I wanted to try this place for a drink and figured I might as well pick up some food too. The drink was ok - I had the pink lychee and it kind of tastes like soap but was blended well. I wouldn't go back for it. But the food... was horrible. It's worse than the food at Pepsi Center for a Nuggets game. It's like food court in a mall bad (remember malls?).
