We visited Tea Street for a sweet afternoon drink on the way up to Estes Park. We picked it due to the menu actually naming the type of tea they brew which is usually a sign of higher quality boba. This is a pretty big shop for a boba establishment, but there's mostly a lot of empty space rather than having a ton of seats. Tieguanyin Milk Tea, Large, Honey Boba ($6.85) - I first asked about their sweetness levels and they stated that their full sweetness is much less than chain boba shops and I totally agree. It's probably comparable to 50% sweetness, which makes the drink pleasantly sweet and not cloying, good for my tastes. The drink is expertly blended with non dairy creamer to give plenty of creaminess but not a hint of grit. The tieguanyin is brewed very hard. Hard enough that it has the characteristic bitterness and smokiness of heavily overbrewed tea. It's smoky and tannic and only has a small fruity undertone, which might actually be from the boba honey soak. While it's not the best tea flavor, it's better than a lot of other shops where the tea is secondary to syrups and powders. The boba is nice, marinated so there's a decently sweetness level, with a great chew and bounce. They aren't that consistent in size, but the texture is consistent between pearls. Unfortunately they don't give enough boba. When we still had a third of the drink left to go, all the boba ran out! Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating: 5/5 but -1 for not giving nearly enough for the drink. Overall Tea Street serves some good boba. I'd return next time I visit Denver. Mango slush ( a.k.a. mango sticky rice) When I first saw this drink, I didn't know what to expect from it. After a few sips from this drink, I know exactly what it reminds me of: summer and eating an orange cream icicle! As I welcome summer in my mouth, it brings back memories of my childhood when we would go to 7-11 and buy some orange push-ups to eat and chased the heat. This drink is a great blend of mango pieces, ice, and the white foam. Make sure to mix this drink well as the flavors from the mango slush and foam go well together. The staff are wonderful. Warning: Not for real boba fans or those who value service... I love authentic boba and know my tea. I asked for an unsweetened drink and was told I was "ruining the recipe." The owner refused to let the staff adjust it and insisted I take it his way. What I got was a over sugary drink I couldn't stomach. He then remade a different tea for me but seems to just put colored water with boba pearls, watery and zero flavor. I didn't argue, just left. I always love visiting Tea Street. Their milk teas are some of the freshest that I have found. I love the quality of all of the teas here. I also am a huge sucker for the lemon tea which is so refreshing on a hot day. I've tried a number of things on the menu and everything has exceeded my expectations from the thai tea to the vietnamese cofee. Everything is a 5/5 for me so far. I don't think you can go wrong! They also have hot drinks with boba too which was a first for me. I truly haven't found anything I have disliked here yet and I've been coming for years now! It leans on the sweeter side but you get both flavors so clearly while being so creamy. If you like a more savory touch the black sesame tea served hot is the perfect toasty flavor for a cold day. Both of these drinks complimented each other so well. If they have the taro pudding from sweet rice flour llc you must try it. Tea Street probably is a handful of places in town where you can find the traditional Hong Kong style stocking milk tea. They only service this hot as the black tea is freshly pressed with the right balance of milk and sugar to retain its distinctive aroma, just like how it was prepared in the cafes in Hong Kong in the old days. I got the vietnamese iced coffee ($4.75) and added brown sugar boba (+0.75) and it was okay. The viet coffee was lacking something, maybe some sweetness from condensed milk, and the boba seemed like regular boba rather than brown sugar boba. The boba itself was a good consistency even though it lacked the brown sugar. This place is one of the cheaper but fairly priced places for boba that we've seen so far around Denver. The employees were nice and quick with our order however we just were slightly disappointed with our drinks. The viet coffee could've been a bit stronger with both the sweetness and bitterness that is typical of a viet iced coffee. I do appreciate the fact that they have a good selection of non tea options (since I'm not a fan of tea) and the prices are pretty great which is why I'm giving them a 4. The consistency of their boba, I believe, is perfect. Not too tough, but also not too mushy, and the right size that you're not risking getting one totally stuck in your straw. While I'm typically dedicated to their Thai Milk Tea, they have so many other flavors that'll satisfy any palate that can be served hot or cold, with several boba, jelly, and pudding options to add in. If you're not a big tea person, they have options for you as well. The staff has also always been wonderful, and it has been great to see them work with other places like Yuan Wonton. I'm very grateful they were able to survive the pandemic since they had only opened in 2018. On my way back from an errand in Centennial, I stopped at Tea Street for boba. The entrance was blocked off (for COVID) because they only took electronic orders. In such an organized fashion, they had their menu and a QR code on the window. You had to call and place your order, then they had the drink(s) ready on the table right inside. I got a few emails from Yelp that highlighted Tea Street, and since I LOVE boba tea, I thought I'd check it out. So glad I did because this will now be my go to tea place. Hands down, without question, the best boba tea I've ever had. Ever. We ordered the tiger tea with boba and the taro tea with boba. I was beyond impressed with the flavors of both teas. Just enough sweetness, the perfect amount of ice, and the right amount of boba. It was also a scorching hot day when we went, so both teas hit the spot. I also appreciate how careful the staff are being during this time. They ask for you to call in your order and then pick it up at the door. Tables are blocking the inside so it's super easy to open the door, check the receipt, grab your tea, and go. The staff were also super helpful over the phone. They were friendly, happy to offer suggestions based off of flavors each customer liked, and nicely explained their tea sizes and how to order since it was our first time (also only 75 cents more for a large - do it). Tea Street is a bit of a drive from where we live, but it's so good that we will be back soon. Can't wait to try more tea options! read more

They have a cute delivery bike set up outside the front door. I ordered the Tea Street Milk tea with honey boba. Tea flavor was good (although I normally like it a tad stronger). The boba pearls were smaller than I'm used to but had good flavor. I normally like them larger and softer but they have few boba topping options on the menu so maybe I just ordered the wrong one. They don't have anything obvious posted about adjusting the sweetness level of their drinks but they happily made my drink at 30% when I asked about sweetness levels. I didn't ask about adjusting ice levels, not sure if they do this. The prices were also super reasonable! Their basic milk tea is under $5. I love that you can customize your drink's sugar and ice levels, and that they are always coming up with awesome seasonal flavors. It's just the perfect amount of sweet but in an fruity and herbally tasty way that reminds me of my childhood...? Don't really know quite how to describe my love for it. I think the atmosphere here is also a huge reason why my roommate and I just come and chill here for extended periods of time. This is an original storefront owned and operated by your friendly locals so you can support Small Business and 90% of the ingredients are made from scratch, so everything stays fresh. I was lucky enough to be invited to one of Tea Street's soft openings where the owner warmly welcomed us with a heaping bowl of Shaved Ice. Shaved Ice is similar to Hawaiian Shave Ice, or basically, a snow cone in a bowl. Instead of colourful syrups, this dessert has different toppings meant for mixing with ice and condensed milk and honestly, it was the absolute best Shave Ice I have had in town. The Taro Balls were clearly hand rolled and Sweet Beans were incredibly crisp. Hold up - beans in a dessert, you say?! YES. This is 2018 and your taste buds are ready, so do it!! When all mixed together, it was the perfect amount of sweetness. We also shared the following drinks, all of which tasted extremely fresh. * The Hawaiian Tea: One of their signature drinks. The boba was chewy and had a very nice consistency. If you like it tart and sweet with fresh cut fruit bites in every sip, this is for you. * Tea Street Milk Tea with Red Beans: Another signature tea. Perfect amount of sweetness and very good sweetened red beans. * Jasmine Green Milk Tea: This was my personal favourite. I asked for this with low sugar and Herbal Jelly - essentially what you order when you want to know the quality of the ingredients because they are so simple... The quality was exceptional. I decided to wash my car at the car wash nearby, it's a pleasant 47 degrees out with a beautiful forecast for the weekend so naturally everyone and their mother also decided it was a good car washing day. Well the prolonged wait worked in my favor because I decided to skidattle over to Tea Street and grab myself a beverage to help with the wait! I went with Coconut Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Boba and ooohweee was this good! I never fancied myself much of a Boba fan but these brown sugar Bobas were able to change my mind real quick! Paired with the delicious coconut creaminess I was in pure heaven! I honestly didn't even mind sitting around for 10 hours waiting for my car. (I obviously kid) but I was in a lovely Coconut Milk area bliss that no amount of waiting was going to ruin!
