Located in a strip mall off Hamden and S Tower, the shop is easy to spot from the road and features ample parking. Upon entering, the space is splashed with bright colors, a greenery wall, plenty of seating and gives off an overall colorful, fun vibe. I visited around 3pm and it was DEAD inside, in that the only worker was sitting around waiting for me! ha! It's an order and pay at the kiosk and wait for pick up kind of joint, which was quick and easy - considering I was the only one there. I opted for a medium Vietnamese Coffee ($4) with the option to add on a million other thing - boba, caramel drizzle, sweetener, extra ice, the list goes on. The menu items offer a massive menu - everything from shaken teas, to blended teas, special spring flavors and fun milk teas. My friend wanted to try this place so we came here and ordered some drinks. We were greeted upon entry and the two working were so nice! The interior is beautiful, bright and inviting. There are a couple of seats if you want to stay and chat. So I've tried boba only one other time and haven't had it since because I wasn't a big fan of it. Presotea has changed my mind! The boba really gave my smoothie a pop of flavor and the texture was incredible. They aren't shy about adding a lot either. I ordered the strawberry banana smoothie and it wasn't too sweet or too bleh. The only thing I will say is that I wish the smoothie was thicker because it did turn liquidy pretty fast. Aiya! I normally love wintermelon and could drink lots of it but it was no good here. Ordered the wintermelon tea with lemon. Not sure what was going on but it tasted horrible. Not only was it too sweet, it tasted powdery. After getting the drink, the staff person suggested for me to try a fruity drink next time. I'm not sure if this was him signaling to me that the wintermelon drink was no good. I was only able to take a few sips but didn't want to throw it away. It's in my fridge now after sitting for a day and I'm hoping I can salvage the $7 by mixing it with water today. Prestotea is finally here in Colorado! I attended the soft opening and ordered the #8 and #10 from the specialty menu. As a boba lover, the teas had subtle flavors. The quality of the tea was fresh. I had to stop going to Lollicup last year because I slurped up a clump of hair molded into my boba pearls and tonight after picking up boba with my boyfriend from Preso- he had an entire finger nail clipping in his Genmaicha milk tea that he just spit out. Absolutely disgusting! Why are workers clipping their nails while handling people's drinks?!? This wasn't just a piece of nail that you would rip off your fingers but an ENTIRE perfectly cut nail. When we walked in the two employees working here were sitting at a table and looked like "oh shit" when they saw us, they have an ordering kiosk and it definitely seems like the employees would much rather you order with that then them. Then they were out of 3/5 of the thing so asked for...oolong milk tea, crème brûlée milk tea and the strawberry bubble waffle...literally it was like "oh we're out of that...and that, oh and that. I was so excited to see a new boba place in Colorado! I love good boba and it's hard to find especially around here. I used to order it in Thailand all the time and this is the closest I've found to the real thing. The texture is good and chewy, not grainy or stringy like some places, with just the right amount of sweetness. You can adjust your level of sweetness in the drink (70% is just right, 100% is a little too much). I ordered the panda milk tea. It both black and white boba, which I'd never heard of. The white boba was like a chunky jelly, which I didn't like as much but the black boba was perfect. I also got a passion fruit tea and added boba. Both were delicious.
