While the technician that came out was very polite and quick (almost too quick as he completed 4 bedrooms, a closet and stairs in less than an hour), I was overall not pleased with the service. After the first visit, it took a full day for the carpet to dry. By the second day, there was an obvious odor of urine in 2 of the bedrooms (not previously observed), and multiple brown stains in one of the bedrooms that were not previously there. I requested for a re-service which was completed a week later. The same technician completed the re-service and was again polite and very quick. He re-cleaned 2 bedrooms with the urine odor and spot cleaned a third bedroom with the multiple brown stains in just 15 minutes. Unfortunately the carpet now looks worse than it did after the original cleaning. The urine odor is gone but the brown stains are even more noticeable now. I feel that I paid for a professional service that did not meet expectations. read more

We've used them twice. Their technicians have been polite and professional and do their job well. The carpets come out clean and the heavy traffic areas are attended to thoroughly. That being said, not happy with the fact that two days after they provided the cleaning, this company appeared at the Greenville Home Show and offered a large discount for the service I paid full price. It would have been nice if they let us know a promotion was forthcoming but nope. Their representative at the show blew us off claiming there was nothing that could be done, phone center's in Atlanta etc.., I had even asked when making the appointment if any promotions were available and was told none were. Guess I'll have to ask in the future if I use this company again if they're planning to be at a home show soon. read more

I am very disappointed in Zerorez's customer service. While the carpet was cleaned to satisfaction, I felt "taken" by the process. Our new house was empty so I signed up for a 4-room carpet cleaning quoted at $218. When the technician arrived and evaluated the carpet (one room had a few stains which he thought were urine and one room had traffic wear) he recommended a "Prestige treatment" which he explained was additional chemicals and scrubbing. He said it would normally cost $300 but he would give me a discount to $240. So at the time of payment I confirmed the bill was $240 as he quoted me; he said no, $458. I was SHOCKED. Shame on me for not clarifying my assumption that $240 was the TOTAL cost. Shame on him for not indicating $240 was IN ADDITION to the original $218 I was quoted. When I contacted the manager to explain my dissatisfaction with the tactic, he did offer additional services (which I explained I don't need) but would not lower the price. In the end, 2 simple words "IN ADDITION" could have prevented this issue as I would have refused the prestige treatment at that cost. I wish I could do a negative star rating. I had a pipe burst on Christmas eve. it flooded two bedrooms with carpet. I had the remediation team come in and remove all the water. I called and explained everything to Zerorez and scheduled for them to come out on Saturday Morning "New Years Eve" 2022. I was told that I would have to have 3 rooms cleaned because they have a Minimum charge. I was quoted $225 for 3 rooms to be cleaned with their special water system, Pet stain & odor treatment on each room, and they were aware that the carpets in bedroom #2 & #3 had been soaked due to a burst pipe. The call center employee "guaranteed me" that this was not an issue and that is what they were there for. I had him give me an exact quote, as im dealing with my insurance company as well. (Side note I was using my new phone and just happened to record the entire call - good for me) When My technician "Dexter" showed up, he explained to me that it would cost an additional $130, on top of the already quoted $225 for 3 rooms at first, then came back when I hesitated and explained to me that his manager "Stephen" told him NOT to do the job at all. After a few phone calls to Zerorez customer service and being told that there were NO managers available, I finally got through to "Stephen" who explained to me that Dexter's water meter stated there was "too much water" still in the carpet to do a cleaning and that them cleaning that part of the carpet would do nothing. I asked him why were they here, and why did they waste my time with any of this. He (Stephen) explained that his call center guys job is to just book the appointment, I asked even if he's lying to do so, Stephen then said, Yes, that's his only function, book the appointment. After about a 10 minute conversation, Stephen agreed to do a ONE room cleaning, where most of the pet stains etc., were, for a price of $65. But would NOT touch the rooms that had flooded, bedrooms #2 & #3. I felt bad for Dexter, the technician, who was stuck in the middle of all of this, and knew if he didn't do something here, he wasn't getting paid for the last hour or so. Therefore, I agreed to the one room cleaning at $65. After all of this I read MORE of the reviews posted online and every single one of them, even the 5 star ratings, mention them quoting one price, and then being charged tons of extra fees, upcharges, fuel charges, etc. Ive also spoken to two different carpet cleaning and remediation companies, and it seems that Zerorez's claim that them working on the flooded carpets and their " concern" that it would damage the carpets even more, is baseless and a pack of lies. they were just mad that they couldn't upsell me and wanted to walk away because they could fit a more profitable job in my time slot. Zerorez is a company that preys on its customers, uses illegal bait and switch tactics, and after reading the reviews and speaking with a couple former employees, has been doing this for years. I was impressed with the way they treated my home. They wear what look like hairnets or blue hair covers over their shoes so they don't track dirt into your home. And they have plastic covers that protect the corners of the walls so that the hoses they use don't scrape, scratch or remove paint from the wall corners. As for the carpet cleaning itself, it was very good. We did have to ask the person to go back over a spot or two where there was a stain we didn't feel that the got as well as he should have the first time around, but he was very considerate and had no problem with going over those spots for us and getting them clean. I used to get my carpets cleaned and when they would dry, I could walk around and crunch my carpets. I didn't know that was bad. It was soap residue and I was breaking the fibers. With Zerorez, the carpet is SOFT and clean when they leave. Also, they use giant fans aimed down at the carpet to get it mostly dry before they leave. I really like that! read more

I paid almost 200$ my carpets look the exact same. Very little carpet due to big furniture, no hallway. When I booked this appointment, the guy I spoke with said I could negotiate a rug with whomever came out being that we did not have hall carpet. The guy refused. Not to mention this carpet was only put down in February. I spilled sprite in bedroom, got it up, but the carpet was still a little stiff. Nothing has changed. Still hard. This is the main reason I booked them. Not to mention they called at almost 9 pm the night before to change the time of the app. Very unprofessional. Not worth the money. We have used Zerorez many times the past couple years and we have been so happy! Not only do our carpets look brand-new and beautiful, there's never that crunchy residue afterwards. I believe that they use reverse osmosis to clean the carpets. We have also used them to strip and seal our tile floors in the sunroom and they look incredible! They used a high-gloss sealant and it looks better now than it did when they were brand-new. The best part is I don't have to add the high gloss to it anymore when I mop it. They are always shiny and it saves me a ton of work. Their staff and customer service is above and beyond as well. Super friendly, hard-working people that are always on time. If I could select zero stars I would. The worst customer service ever. Had an area rug cleaned they picked up and said it would be returned in 2 to 3 weeks. I called at 2 weeks to get a status left message no response. Over the next 2 weeks left at least 5 messages no response. Frustrated with no responses called Greenville County Sheriffs office for advice. The person that answered said they also had issues with Zerorez he directed me to the Greenville County Magistrates Office to file a claim and return form. I left another message stating our intentions. Within a couple hours I received a call from their customer service that the rug will be delivered. It's a shame that we had to go to such lengths. We've been a Zerorez customer for a few years now for our carpet cleaning. They've always done a great job so we decided to have them do our duct cleaning. As near as we could tell, that was done well also. However, within a couple of weeks and as it started getting colder, we noticed our heat pump was going almost 24/7 and couldn't reach the temp that we had the thermostat set for. Regardless of what we set it for, it never reached requested temp. Neither my wife or myself had any idea what was going on. When we ever received our electric bill for that time period.......for $356.00..... we assumed it was an HVAC issue so we called our HVAC company. Where the Zerorez technicians had cut a hole in the plenum of the heat pump to access the duct work, the panel had fallen off so the heat pump was running off frigid air. The Zerorez crew had affixed the cut out piece with useless tape that didn't stick. I then called Zerorez to voice my displeasue. The young lady on the phone turned me over to Jessie, a local manager or supervisor. After explaining the situation to Jessie, he offered THE best customer service option I think we've ever had. He was not only full of apologies for what happened,,,,,including my $356 electric bill that the hole being exposed caused, he FULLY refunded the $450 charge for the duct cleaning AND offered us a FREE carpet cleaning in the future!!! No arguments, no negotiating, no disagreement, just a solution. Simply outstanding customer service. I am still now and will remain a loyal Zerorez customer thanks to Jessies's level of customer service. read more

Carpet looked good when it was wet. But it dried just as it was before they cleaned it. (Dirty) called to inform them and they offered to come and re-clean. they then cancelled twice. I then asked for a refund and was ghosted until I left a negative review on Fb. then their manager offered to personally come and take care of the carpet. He then failed to turn up for the appointment and didn't even call! after complaining again, he offered to refund $280 of the $670 i paid. Their gimmick does not clean. The company advertises 3 rooms + hallway for $119, but when you call, they need to add $19 for them to actually come out and do it. So really, it is $138 for 3 rooms + hallway and no way to get it for $119. It is a shame and infuriating that companies in this day and age resort to these misleading business practices. I chose an 8am-10am appointment. I got a call the night before stating they would be here closer to the late part of our window. They then sent another text message saying they moved my appointment window to 10am to 1pm. When I called to check on this the agent told me the system just automatically does that because they were going to arrive closer to the end of my originally scheduled window. Well at 11 AM the tech finally called and was ready to come. My husband took the morning off for no reason. I'm 37 weeks pregnant with twins and I have a four-year-old that needs to nap which is why I chose the earlier window. I had to cancel the appointment. I'll use a competitor. read more

I purchased a home with carpets that were in need of cleaning or replacement. So I contacted Zerorez. I was told by the cleaning tech he could take care of the stains and smells within the carpet and if it didn't they would come out again for free (the only reason I chose to have them clean the carpets). Well, the initial cleaning didn't take care of the stains nor all of the smell. Call after call have fallen on deaf ears as nothing has been done, neither another cleaning or refund. I would advise against using them. The young man that did the cleaning was very nice and worked hard on the carpet, but the management has been less than responsive in making good on their guarantee. Management was apologetic with the miscommunication and have assured me they'll do what it takes to provide a satisfactory solution and scheduled another cleaning. Today another tech was sent out to make good on their guarantee. He retreated the pet odors from the previous owners and I'm hopeful that this will make a difference. The tech was very nice and seemed sincere in trying to take care of the problem. I will follow up with the overall outcome and adjust the rating appropriately. read more

Finally decided to have our old carpet cleaned. Heard about Zerorez on WORD 106.3. Scheduled them to come out Monday. We knew we had some stains, with 5 kids and numerous pets over the years. We wanted the 3 room + a free hallway for$129. Well when they got here, we were told that to prevent old odors from resurfacing, we should use their biological odor treatment for $69 per room! We hesitated, so just for us () they could do all three rooms for $100 extra. Reluctantly, we agreed. Who wants stinky carpet? After they finished, carpet looked great. But after drying for 4 hours, all the spots were back, looking worse than ever! John called them on Tuesday to complain, and they scheduled to come back Friday to treat spots again. What do you know, the same thing happened again today! Btw, their truck claimed "insanely clean carpet"! So, we are now stuck with nasty carpet for the holidays. I will NEVER use or recommend Zerorez in Greenville for any carpet service EVER! read more

I would give this a one star but they had a great employee Joseph Berry that tried to make it right! I paid for a "platinum package" which included biological odor treatment and fiber protector. Don't waste your money with any of it because we came to find out that they didn't apply it on the first visit. My carpets didn't smell or look any different after the first time. Joseph came back and verified it was never applied (I am glad they didn't lie about never applying it). Carpets are better after Joseph worked on them but the one spot (which is the only reason I chose to do the bio) still has a smell. They say next is to have it extracted but it's expensive. I just don't trust them. Long story short is I would recommend finding someone else but if you do use them ask for Joseph Berry! read more

We just moved into a new home and needed the carpets cleaned due to pet odor. I called zerorez to get a quote, but ended up scheduling online and got the same quote of $279. When the tech came, he was unfriendly and condescending and informed me it was going to cost a whole lot more due to the size of our rooms and the need to add on special treatments for pet odor since just cleaning the carpets would make the odor "5x worse". The cheapest option for treating the pet odor was going to cost over $650. Another option involved replacing the carpet pad which would have been well over $1,000. We felt extremely misled and canceled our service. Beware of inaccurate quotes and know that it will probably end up costing much more! read more

I'll start this review off with a statement that I will never, never use this company again. We found this company at the home show in Greenville and after listening to them, decided to give them a try. They promised to get all the soap out that was left by they competitors while leaving our carpets dryer than ever. As they finished one room, my wife thought the carpet still looked dirty and wiped a clean rag over it. Yup, dirty rag. Had to have them redo it. The same went on in each area they "cleaned". Had to have them redo the carpet sometimes several times to get the dirt out. Having to have the carpets done that way caused them to be left very wet. This was concerning as two of the rungs were on top of hardwood floors. Our carpeted stairs to the second floor were left very wet also and not clean. Another thing, they don't move anything. Nothing! They charge you for a 12X15 foot bedroom, but don't move the bed, end tables, nothing. Most companies move smaller furniture and then place plastic under the legs. Not this one. They just leave it there. So all they basically cleaned was the walk way areas in the bedroom. My wife called the 800 number as they advertise satisfaction guaranteed or your money back. That number goes right to a mailbox that is "full and cannot accept any messages." She then called the company in Greenville and the person she spoke to was going to contact the person with the full mailbox and have him/her call us right back. Still waiting for that call. Very poor customer service and very poor carpet cleaning. Our carpets looked and felt much better using one of the more established carpet cleaning companies. read more

Made an appointment on the website for carpet cleaning. Window for appointment was 3-6 pm. Website said they would call 15 minutes before arriving. At 2:58 my daughter saw the truck go by our house down into the culdesac. She told my wife they would be here soon. At 3:15 my wife checks her email and there is one from Zerorez saying the appointment was canceled because no one was home. Three people and a dog were at home. There were four cars in the driveway. When she called to find out what happened, she was on hold for twenty minutes and then transferred to someone's voice mail. No one called back. Very inconvenient since we moved most of the furniture out of the rooms to be cleaned and no one showed up. read more

Employed this company to clean carpets in our just purchased home due to a pet smell. After paying for the higher priced organic solution we have been vacuuming copious amounts of dog hair and debris out of our carpets for months. In the meantime ZeroRez has slow walked the whole process of making this right in spite of Better Business Bureau involvement. I would not recommend them for any cleaning, call Chem-Dry. A week after I wrote this review, the company responded by posting as an answer we should have vacuumed all the pet hair and debris out of the carpet before they arrived. The carpet WAS vacuumed by the previous owners AND at the time ZeroRez's own website said that they would take out the debris and odor. Their process did neither. Chem- Dry did a sample area in the meantime when they were employed to clean the upholstery on two chairs. The pet hair clogging their filter outside in their vehicle was enough proof for me that not only the ZeroRez advertising is flawed, but their equipment was, too. I actually made a very generous offer for us just to pay the standard cleaning fee and have the "organic" formula fee waived. This has been ignored by the owners, even after having two technicians on a followup inspection visit agree that this was yes, a very good way to end the dispute. An invitation by ZeroRez Atlanta to call if I "had any more questions" has not generated even an answer to my phone message. I say emphatically again and I'll edit my previous statement, do not call ZeroRez Greenville if you are dealing with a pet odor. It will be what the FRANCHISE OWNER TOLD ME HIMSELF OVER THE PHONE, A DEBACLE! Today the Better Business Bureau called and asked me if I'd received my negotiated refund. I almost laughed into the phone. But, she said, the owner said he had communicated with his financial office about my situation. I told her that I figured he kept his financial office in his back pocket. Am I cynical? Yes. This debacle started in MAY.... And the dog smell still exists. NextDoor is next. By the time they got done, the price had nearly doubled. Part of that was because we got them to Scotch Guard when they got done. That was a complete waste of money. Stains do not come out at all. It's been a little over a year since they cleaned our carpets. The carpets look worse now than they did before the cleaning -- and that was 17 years worth of dogs, cats and kids. They advertise that without the chemicals, the carpets will not be a magnet for dirt. We have found just the opposite to be true. I hoped it would be better after Zerorez cleaned them, but never expected them to look AMAZING and smelled so clean & fresh! ! I hardly ever give a bad review. Do not waste your money or your time with this company. We moved into a home where only the master bedroom was carpeted and had pet stains from the previous owner. We contacted Zerorez to clean 1 bedroom. The first day they came, the truck didn't work and they had to reschedule. When they came back the carpet stayed wet and smelled even worse of pet urine. We called back 24 hours later because the carpet was still wet and smelled. They rescheduled a reservice, and had to cancel on us twice. Need I mind you we have to move our heavy furniture off the carpet each time they say they're coming. After the reservice the carpet still smelled awful. I get a call from Bobby the manager who assured me himself or his assistant will come and take care of it. I make an appointment with him for a time between 8-10 they don't show up until 12. It's also not himself or his assistant. The technician that came for the 3rd time informs us we're going to have to have the pad treatment which is $90 a gallon. So we agreed thinking this would work. It did not. Sad to say they lost out on 2 commercial properties my father in law was looking to use them for and a residential service with my mother. It also cost us $155 for one bedroom with pet treatment and the protectant to be applied. read more

I do NOT recommend this company. I had my air ducts cleaned in November and the man measured and ordered lifetime return filters for me. These filters cost me $140. It took much longer for them to arrive then I was told and when they did arrive, they were too small. Since that time I have spoken with the manager in the Greenville area, Bobby. He apologized and told me he would come out to my home personally to fix the issue. He has since made two appointments with me to which he has not shown for. He did not call to cancel or reschedule. I then made a call to the company again to ask to speak with another manager. I was told I could leave a voicemail for the call center manager. I left her a voicemail and never received a return call. I just recently left a voicemail for yet another manager. I have also left three voicemails with the corporate office with no return call. This company has wasted my time, money, and energy. Very disappointed. I wish I could leave less than one star. read more
