From our first conversation with Preferred Sonoma Caterers, we knew we had made the right choice…read more Their team was attentive and clear throughout the entire planning process, taking time to understand exactly what we wanted for our big day. The personalized tasting they offered gave us confidence in their ability to deliver, and they were incredibly accommodating with our guests' dietary restrictions. On the wedding day, their staff stayed engaged and responsive, making sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Everyone raved about the food--guests with and without dietary restrictions all loved the flavors and quality of every dish. We can't thank Preferred Sonoma Caterers enough for making our wedding celebration so delicious and special.

We wanted all finger foods and nothing that had to be kept hot. Not only did Amber make solid food recommendations but she stayed within our budget. We served empanadas, bruschetta, ham & Swiss pinwheels and turkey & cheese wraps. Everything was delicious, beautifully presented and more than enough for our 25 or so guests. We had enough so no one walked away hungry. We kept hearing how good the food was throughout the event. I felt lucky to have found Preferred Sonoma Caterers as I am not from the area. They made the Celebration of Life event stress free and hassle free. Would absolutely use them again. Highly recommended. Thank you for everything Amber!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!…read more Lombardi's BBQ is hands down some of the best barbecue I have ever had. Everything was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious. The food was so good that I would gladly make the drive from San Francisco to Petaluma just to eat here again. The barbecue was outstanding, but the real surprise was the peach tres leches cake. WOW. It was incredible and an absolute game changer. Moist, flavorful, and the perfect ending to an amazing meal. The portions were generous, the quality was excellent, and every bite was worth it. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. If you're anywhere near Petaluma and love great barbecue, do yourself a favor and stop here. I will definitely be back, and next time I'll probably be thinking about that peach tres leches cake the entire drive there!

The barbecue here is amazing, and it's one of my favorite places to eat. I come here often because…read morethe food is consistently delicious. Unfortunately, today's experience was disappointing. There was one young employee left to handle the register by himself while a line of customers continued to grow. At the same time, there were several completed orders sitting on the counter waiting to be bagged and handed out. My food sat there for about 10 minutes before I finally walked up and asked for it. What made the situation frustrating was that there were multiple other employees standing at the other end of the restaurant talking and laughing while this one employee was clearly overwhelmed, trying to do the work of two people. It wasn't until I asked about my order that another employee came over to help at the register. This isn't a reflection on the young employee he was doing his best under difficult circumstances. My concern is with the lack of teamwork and support from the rest of the staff. The food is still excellent, but I hope management addresses this so employees aren't left struggling alone and customers receive the service they're expecting.

This review is for their stall at the Sunday, San Rafael Farmers Market…read more I can't take credit for the discovery of Bay Laurel - that was the partners doing. But I can say that I've been a willing participant in visits since. I hate to admit it, but we really haven't ventured as deep into their offerings as we might since the partner is crazy for their chicken pot pies - which are mighty good by the way. What I can say is that everything we have sampled has been excellent. Portion size is good. Many of their entrees serve two healthy appetites. Our most recent discovery has been their cookies. (I'm not telling which are my favorites.) The woman who runs the booth is really friendly and always makes us feel welcome - even when we can't decide what we want. Perhaps a bit spendy, but the quality well makes up for the cost.

The BLC Chicken Pot Pie is frozen when you get it. That's where the similarity to its predecessors ends. Perfect crust. Moist, tender, incredibly flavorful chicken, white and dark meat. Peas and carrots that actually taste like peas and carrots. All enrobed in a sauce with incredible flavor, texture, and balance. We heated ours in our toaster oven (don't judge!) for about an hour at 325 degrees Fahrenheit, a bit under the 350 BLC recommends. We made sure not to ignore the recommended egg wash, and to cover ours with foil after the top crusts were golden brown, to avoid burning them while the pies came completely up to eating temperature. They were flawless. Feel free to add seasonings -- but taste first. You may find further adornment unnecessary, as we did. We've had and loved the stellar, refined version of this dish at The Big 4 in San Francisco. The Bay Laurel Culinary team has brought that level of quality and flavor to a chicken pot pie you can enjoy at home in your lounging regalia of choice. Life rarely if ever gets better. Enjoy.
