On Friday, May 30th, my daughter took her 2010 Mercury Mariner to your Bloomington, Indiana location for an interior detail, fabric protectant, and exterior wax. While speaking with Sebastian, they agreed to look at removing scratches from both the driver front door and passenger front door ONLY . He looked at the interior as well as said that because it was in good condition, he would also discount the interior detail cost. He stated that removing scratches from the two doors would be $100 each. When my daughter was called to pick up the vehicle (very near closing time), she went to her vehicle and noticed that the scratches were not gone. When she asked about it the female worker stated, "let me go fix the silly boys' mistake." She took the vehicle for about 5 minutes and when she brought it back some of the scratches were gone but there were still scratches visible. When my daughter asked about the remaining scratches, it was stated that there were some that "were too deep." She was then told that they went ahead and did the scratch repair to the hood since they couldn't get the scratches out of the doors. She did not ask for the hood to be done, nor was she asked if that was acceptable. This was not what she asked to be done and did not agree to have this done since "the scratches around the doors were too deep." If the female could work on the door scratches and remove some of the scratches in 5 minutes, it stands to reason that if they had actually taken the time to do the job properly (or at all) that the $200 she paid for scratch removal may have proven cost effective. My daughter, at this point, had not even seen the interior of the car and the location was closing. Once she got in the vehicle, the seats had a protective plastic covering and she was told not to remove them for a while. The dash had dust on it, as if it hadn't been touched. There was visible debris on the carpet between the door and drivers seat as well as debris in the door handle pocket area. There is a greasy substance, even appears to be dripping down in areas, on parts of the dash which does not come off by wiping, and the back cargo area had not been cleaned or swept out. There are areas where it doesn't appear to have even been wiped down (particularly around doors). The seats now have a strange pattern of staining or discoloration on them and there are visible areas of white patches as well. You will even see a picture of the seatbelt buckles that weren't even cleaned. Returning the vehicle was not as option as the location was then closed. I called the location on Saturday to see if she could bring the vehicle back to have the situation rectified, as she did not work on Saturday. The location was closed on Saturday and Sunday. I called and spoke with Sebastian on Monday morning and he said "she can bring it back in to be touched up." My daughter works daily from 7am-6pm and dropping the vehicle off again and leaving it is not an option. Frankly, she should not have to take another day off of work, make arrangements for someone to pick her up and drop her back off, or be inconvenienced so that your employees can touch up their shoddy, lazy, and half-effort work. My husband and I have been customers at this location for over 20 years and have referred many family members and friends to this location as well. We live over an hour and 15 minutes from Bloomington, yet make the drive multiple times per year to have our vehicles serviced here. My husband requested a call from the owner, Jim. His request has not been answered. As you can imagine, we are extremely disappointed and unsatisfied with the experience our daughter had at the Bloomington location. She was charged $714.98 for a job that is clearly inadequate and unsatisfactory. I am including pictures for your reference and a picture of her receipt. Their only solution to the issue is to have her return the vehicle for a quick touch up. Bought the undercoat special for my truck. When I picked my truck up, I crawled under it (they didn't expect that) and showed them pictures where they missed cross members, pockets by the inner fenders and inside tubular cross members. Rescheduled an appointment to touch these up. To my disappointment, some areas were still missed and I was told they didn't have the equipment to spray inside the tubular cross members. According to Ziebart's corporate website they do have the equipment, so this was just a lie. I do not recomend doing bussiness with blatant liars. read more

My story starts about a year ago. We took our 2016 Yukon XL Denali to get it yearly touch-up including trying to remove the hazing from the hood. When we came to pick the vehicle up, the paint on the hood was destroyed. When I asked what they were going to do about it, I was told it was due to the age and condition of the paint. Assuming I had no choice I said okay and walked away. This past summer, summer of 2024, we had the hood repainted at our cost. Fast forward a year we again took it in for it's yearly appointment. Upon showing up to get it, it had swirl marks everywhere. It also had some odd run like marks on the hood. When I brought it up the first guy was nice, mid to late 40s with a beard and small build, he came right out to the parking lot and some chemicals to remedy the situation. He asked why I had waited a year to bring up the intial damage, I reminded him I had brought it up the day we picked it up the prior year. A second gentleman came out. Late 40s to early 50s, short stocky build with a beard. I showed him the pictures I had taken of the hood damage. To which he responded "I've been in this business 28 years, there's no way in hell that happened here." At this point I was frustrated and I let my mouth get the best of me. I responded "The f*** it didn't. At which point he turned around and said "Don't you ever cuss at me ever...........ever again" in an aggressive tone. You would think after 28 years he would actually be good at his job and developed a way of dealing with upset customers. A third gentleman then came out. He was taller with a thin build and a beard. I would say early 30s. He was very kind. He listened to what I had to say and apologized for the previous issue. He then took the charge for the diamond gloss off of the bill due to the issue. If you want rust protection, definitely go here. However, if you want paint correction. I would go to an actual body shop. read more

We bought a Zebart protection plan through a dealership. The first two years of the yearly maintenance checkup went poorly (I'm being nice). I went in today locked and loaded based on the previous 2 years experience. The manager/owner explained what they are responsible for and what things we need to do to prepare our vehicle for their service. This was the first time anyone a this location took the time to do that. The past 2 times, when we felt their service was sub-par at best, it fell on deaf ears, which further made me ready for a fight this time. Based on our conversation today, Zebart Bloomington made all the past indiscretions right. They even cleaned everything, which they didn't have to do, but did it to make things right, and to correct the lack of effort and communications with us that the previous visits chose to ignore. The new owner was a breath of fresh air and now I would recommend Zebart Bloomington wholeheartedly! read more

Everybody that works at Ziebart has always been so friendly & helpful in answering my questions. I had my first annual detailing done & everything looked great. My husband also surprised me by having them put window tinting on the front & sides of my Honda CRV to match my rear windows. One of the windows had some bubbling in it, but I showed this to the employee before I left, & they set me up immediately with a return appt to have the windows redone. I did & my windows block the afternoon sun very nicely. I am very happy with the customer service & work detailing. read more

Came in to get my new vehicle tinted and the install was very very poor. Left my interior dirtier than I picked it up and it was covered in water spots and lint. Dirt in the tint and they even trimmed it short where it was glaringly obvious. My right door was also reinstalled improperly leading to a rattle. Even after I got the tint redone it was another poor job. They told me the new guy worked on it and that's why the bad job and dirty interior. Does the new guy just not even bother to clean up his mess? Does he think dead obvious mistakes would be acceptable for a multiple hundred dollar tint? Did anybody at all bother to double check the work? How did they park my car in the lot dirtier than I brought it in for pickup and think it was good to go? I don't think a single quality check was done and these guys clearly don't care about details or ensuring a quality job. I asked them and corporate for a refund because I don't want a lifetime of shitty replacements but both said no. Very disappointed, DO NOT take your vehicle here for a window tint. I took my car to Bloomington window tint and Andrew didn't even charge me for removing their install and he put in the new tint which was literally a perfect install and he left my car spotless. read more

Had the yearly maintenance of my 2020 GMC Canyon done as well as having them address several deep scratches on one side of the bed. They did an excellent job removing those and so much more reasonable than taking it to a body shop. Highly recommend! read more

My van door worked perfect before Ziebart worked on it! Door automatic lock was off and my passenger sliding door was broken. This is the only communication I have received from this place of business was today, after 5 weeks! Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience our conduct and poor service may have caused. Providing excellent customer service is not only our norm but also our highest priority. We regret that we were not able to meet your expectations. Reading through your email, we are slightly confused regarding the chain of events. Our records indicate your vehicle was serviced for the Diamond Gloss Gold Shield package on 4/18/2022. The interior of the vehicle only receives a light vacuuming of the interior and application of fabric protection. You indicate that the sliding door was in perfect operation before the vehicle was brought to Ziebart. The invoice from the dealership is only making mention of replacing the door panel and clips that hold it in. Did you advise anyone in the sales department of this situation when you picked up the vehicle from Honda? Did you speak with anyone from Ziebart about your findings? Also, the invoice from the service department is dated 8 days after the work was done through Ziebart. Is it not part of our policy to reimburse customer's for damages that were not reported to us. We have relationship with dealer and collision centers who would be able to resolve these issues and that we would pay directly. With this being said, we are not offering to pay the bill for this repair. Please let us know if you have any further questions regarding this matter. After several frustrating experiences with car washes in Bloomington, I finally asked a friend for a recommendation and found this place. The service was excellent and the people super friendly. I have a 2007 Dodge Caliber that looked absolutely disgusting when I took it there and it came out looking BRAND NEW! I swear the car looked better than when I drove it out of the dealer. There are a few places in town that claim they offer a full service car wash, but really all they do is wash the exterior and vacuum the floors. Ziebart will do that PLUS clean your windows, dashboard and every single cup holder or compartment you might have in your car. I also had a giant coffee stain on the back seat that had been there for at least 1 year and they completely removed it. Make sure you call in advance to book an appointment, as they are a small business and often are at capacity. I got a full interior cleaning and a manual exterior wash. It took them about 4 hours to finish it, so I'd advise to brink a good book or ask a friend to come pick you up. I will definitely be coming back and I would highly recommend this place to anyone! read more

Wow, just had the worst experience trying to give these guys business! When I called to make the appointment, I explained the age and condition of the interior and they made the appointment. They also said they had lots of experience cleaning Toyota Prius's for the dealership. Then when I showed up, they REFUSED to do the job they quoted me!! And said they don't clean cars for the dealership! So, they are also liars!! They were blaring music on the outside of the shop, making it very difficult to talk to them. Terrible customer service. Do Not give these guys your business!! They suggested I should try a different company, then said they had no recommendations because they have no competitors!! What total jerks!! read more

Management at Ziebart shop in Bloomington did not do their job when it came to training employees! We purchased a vehicle and agreed on using Ziebart through our warranty. We dropped it off in the morning and when picking it up we were not pleased. The black tar-like under coating was sprayed on the rear tire and also splattered on the back side panel of our vehicle! We didn't spot it until we got home and it took my man an hour using dawn dish soap and a soft sponge to remove the brown discoloration off the paint! read more

I've been having my car detailed here since it was new; it's now 10 years old and looks like new, inside and out, when Ziebart works their magic. When there was a minor mishap during the cleaning, they took responsibility and had the problem resolved as quickly as they could, to minimize inconvenience to me. Recommended! read more

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS IF............you're looking for great exterior and interior detailing. Took my son's 2002 Ford Ranger in for both. The truck itself was well maintained. When I went to pick it up, I was stunned at the condition of the "final product". Dirt and dust ALL over the vehicle in obvious places.......doors, side steps, around the rear light on the cabin, the custom wheels were filthy, around and in the area of the gas cap. There were spots down the side of the cabin where a liquid had dried (it rubbed off with my finger) that were obviously ignored. The bed of the truck had a liner. It still had gravel and a lot of mud in it. They had used a pressure washer to wash the truck and the force of the pressure sprayer in the bed of the truck spewed dirt, sand and mud on the sides of the liner. I was told they do not wash the liner but just hose it out. I told them the entire job was a sham and they needed to do it again. I also questioned the "clear coat" they sprayed on it that supposedly lasts a year.......How could the coating adhere over all that dirt and dust??? I got no response for that question. The man we dealt with said, he could have it "fixed in 10 minutes". He took the truck back into bay, pressure washed the bed liner again, rubbed more of the dust off and brought it back out. Much of the truck was still he same. Again, I said it was unacceptable. He then said I could pay for the job ($300) and have it redone another day. Scheduled it again but after thinking they'd tried twice to get it right and failed, I filed a complaint with the corporate office and they said they'd send it to the Bloomington location. I then called the Bloomington Ziebart and asked to talk with the manager to cancel the 2nd appointment. I talked with Chris, the manger and began explaining the experience I'd had. He said he'd already seen my complaint and the resolution was that "You got a free service and the truck cannot ever come back to this shop." I told him we didn't want to bring it back and that I wouldn't be bringing any of our vehicles there either. He said "that'd be just fine". End of conversation. Make your own choice on who you want to detail your vehicle. Just be aware, this is the first time I'd ever had this poor of an experience with a business and they knew they'd failed miserably and took no accountability for it. Very poor business ethics. Ziebart got every piece of dog hair out of my car. 2 years of dog hair buildup on a car that hasn't been detailed in years meant that the car was a pigsty. I had thought the seats were a lost cause, but they worked their wonders. I'll be going back for sure! read more

I am writing to report an incident with Mr. Chris Schoettle, manager of your Bloomington Ziebart store on 08/08/13. An initial consultation appointment intended to help me to decide on the best audio solution for my car turned into a regretful customer service experience. I can only speak to the facts of such experience: 1) 08/07/13 - Called Ziebart store and requested an appointment for an audio consultation service on 08/08/13. 2) 08/08/13 - Arrived at the store 11:15 AM to discuss possibility of using existing system (JVC AVX 800) with some add-ons/improvements. 3) 08/08/13 - Called back inquiring on the possibility of installing a rear view camera. 4) 08/08/13 - Returned to the store with installation instructions on the JVC unit to discuss installation of a rear view camera with existing system Here is my experience in each one of these events: - During my 08/07/13 call I spoke with a knowledgeable staff named Tim. I explained my situation and requested an appointment to explore a possible audio installation on my vehicle. Appointment was set to 11:00 AM 08/08/13. - 08/08/13 - At 11:00 I called the store explaining that the new unit I ordered for installation had not yet been delivered. However i explained that I would like to meet up with the staff to discuss the best option for my current set-up. Upon arrival Mr. Schoettle greeted me on a professional and courteous manner. He asked my name and about my car. I explained that I was a bit confused as to my options and that I would need some help trying to sort things out. At that point Mr.Schoettle went on criticizing Tim in front of me saying that Tim should not be talking to customers before asking him information about services. It was awkward hearing him speaking in a dis-favorable manner about one of the staff in his absence. I then proceeded to change the course of the conversation and ask if I could have someone look at my car so that I could have a better idea of how to proceed. He asked his installer to follow me outside to see my current audio set-up. Mr. Schoettle trailed behind us outside and stood around while I talked with the professional installation person. Several times during my conversation with the installer Mr. Schoettle interrupted our conversation trying to up-sell a new unit making it difficult for me to understand my current situation. This high pressure sales strategy is a far cry away from an ideal buyer/seller situation. Upon returning inside the store I witness Mr. Schoettle's dismissively telling his professional installer that it is not his business to communicate with the customer. At that point I told Mr. Schoettle that I did not want to witness this conflict and that he should wait until I was gone to iron-out any issues he may have with the management of the store. He took offense to that and told the installer that he should leave the front desk immediately. During my second call to the store asking about the installation of a rear view camera Mr. Schoettle was very short and rude on the call. He only provided the cost of installation reminding me that my unit was old and that it is unlikely that they could anything for me. On my second visit to the store I brought printed installation instructions for my unit showing that indeed I could have a rear view camera installed and that my unit was not that 'old'. Mr. Schoettle at that point was obviously upset and told me that the installation would be $150.00. He also asked me "What else I wanted?" I explained that I would be keeping my unit and that I was looking for help in improving my current set-up -- installation of an extra power source and a audio jack on the dash. Perhaps upset with my decision not to spend money on a high end more expensive unit Mr. Schoettle told me that any additional service requested could not be performed by his store. I asked if that was Ziebart's policy and he replied with -- "This is my policy". I asked him again to confirm this information and he replied -- "This is my store". At that point I requested corporate contact. He provided your email address. While I am sure unfortunate service situations like this happens everyday, it is important for the manager of any business to show fundamental respect to staff and customer. In just a few hours of interaction I noticed that Mr. Schoettle failed to: - provide information needed for a customer to make a sound purchasing decision based on needs not his store sales quota. - respectfully and professionally manage his staff. He criticized two of his staff in front of store's guests. - provide honest and customer-centered sales solutions. He demonstrated poor sales skills by trying to pressure sell a more expensive unit while not understanding customer needs. - respect the Ziebart brand by yelling and asking a customer to leave 'HIS' store. After this experience I will definitively never recommend Ziebart to anyone one of my friends and Bloomington residents. read more

We had our car originally done in Greenwood but since it is closer for us to take it to the Bloomington store now we researched the customer service and quality of the store before we changed locations. The manager and tech that actually had the hands on my car were tops. They not only assured us that the quality of the product would be guaranteed but their ethics were a part of the package. Because of the precise language and caring we did decide to change locations. We were not unhappy with our choice. The following week we purchased a new truck and took it out for the "works". These people although were nice they are not personable at all and it is a take it or leave it attitude. We had an appointment for 8:30 am, finally took the truck back an hour or more later in install a cover. We ask why first thing in the morning they were so far behind and was told they weren't behind, but we had waited for over an hour for our appointment. A couple days later looked in the bed and there was water just from a heavy dew, with the stripping hanging down, the drain tubes not attached to the drain holes. Went back in to be told they would need to preform a test (although he seen all the water in it). By this time we were not happy with the way we were being treated and said just take it off and refund out money. It is their policy that once it is installed it is ours and no refunds, would be nice if they told you that up front. So they can throw something on there, doesn't matter if right and you are stuck with it. We have hired a local body shop to take it off, install new weather stripping and put the topper on correctly. Customer service is something they are lacking. read more

I had a few things on my car that were not complete and as soon as I pointed them out to the Manager (Tim LeMasters), who told me he was the owner, he began yelling at my husband and I. He cursed us both in front of my 7 year old son, Not just a few words, complete with F*** You. He would not give me my keys-- AFTER I PAID HIM-- until the police showed up. He was awful!
