He lied and stated that isn't what he said, did a terrible job and didn't stand behind his work. When we revealed proof of the job being done horrendously he accused us of lying. Mike forged my signature at his office when he told he I signed a paper (I knew I didn't so I asked for the proof of signature) I knew when I asked for it, it was going to be forged. Mike sent me the "customer" copy signed with the same pen right next to on it countertop and tried to gas light me into saying he left it here when he clearly had it with him. Mike not only did a terrible job and we supplied photos to him, we have 16 windows and Mike told us we had 19. On the signed paper mike sent to us not only did he forged my signature he also had a price of $943 but our card was charged for more!!!!!!! Fraud and theft!??? Mike did awful cuts, his tint was left over car tint!!!! Not the tint that was to be used, Mike didn't supply any samples, leave us with any paperwork nothing. I asked Mike to come and remove the tint and supply a refund and even offered to pay him for his time and supplies Mike decided to tell him his material cost was $223 and the rest of what he charged was labor. Not only that but mike knew the job because he came for a consult knowing a window was about 9-10 feet tall, instead of bringing a ladder mike used a chair and our dryer, denting our dryer completely on the top!!! When asked about it mike once again tried to gas light me into saying he didn't. I have a dog camera in this room clearly showing mike did it. Mike stated I cussed him out on the phone, when I spoke to Mike little did he know he was in speaker with two witnesses as well (I did this knowing this man was a liar) so there was proof I was nothing but professional. Mike also continued to try to pin me and my significant other against each other saying we both said things we didn't until finally as you see below the games quit when I stated I want everything via group text for proof and paper trail. Mike left my house a disaster with the spray he used for the windows causing our windows become filthy when he told me he would clean the windows VERY well before. Mike left all his scrap tint all over my floors and this man claims he has been doing this for 40 years (see example of the cut below which is how every window is) but he cut his finger and bled all over my door and window and LEFT IT. This man left blood everywhere and didn't bother to tell me or wipe it up! Not only did Mike commit forgery and theft, he was a straight jerk! I didn't know people like this existed honestly... i ensured to take a video and keep the screen shots but ended up removing the god awful home tint job on my own. I will be taking mike to small claims court for fraud and theft as well as the shitty job he did but I wanted to ensure I was warning others. Stay away at all cost!!!

Absolutely horrible experience. Not only was my tint job done poorly, it still has defects and Mike…read moretold me there is "No such thing as a perfect tint job." He also left the inside of my car a complete mess when it was done and my husband picked it up. He obviously does not care about his workmanship or his customers. He had it back TWICE and I specifically requested it be redone and it was not and still continues to have the same problems. He told me it wasn't that he didn't want to redo it but there was nothing to be redone. And this was after I had gone through and specifically marked every window with an issue, and it was ALL the windows. Not only that, when I called to speak to him about it he was very rude and disrespectful. His yelp reviews speak very much to my same experience

I went in looking for whatever level of polish I could get within a roughly $500 budget, and Rod ended up delivering essentially a three-stage correction within that budget. The quality of the work, service, and value were all excellent, and we were genuinely thrilled with how the car turned out. We had just purchased the vehicle CPO with about 30,000 miles on it. We bought it Wednesday afternoon in Virginia and drove it home by Thursday night. By Friday morning, some dried mud was unfortunately wiped off the paint, leaving several additional scratches on top of some clear-coat scratches and deeper marks that were already there. Vik Black is a beautiful metallic black, but it shows almost everything. We dropped the car off with Rod Monday morning. Our goal was not showroom perfect. We just wanted the paint to look significantly better without spending well over $1,000. Rod initially discussed around a two-step polish for roughly $450, but what we ultimately received was essentially a three-stage correction for $500. Comparable quotes I had seen for that level of work were well north of $1,000. The car was washed, decontaminated and clay barred, polished, then worked again with a heavier compound and wool pad in areas with deeper defects, followed by a final polish and wax. The result was fantastic. The car is not absolutely perfect under every light, but it is also a 30,000-mile CPO vehicle with some deeper scratches. For what we asked for and what we paid, the improvement was excellent. More importantly, this was a car we had literally just brought home, and after the correction it finally felt like the new-to-us vehicle we had been excited about buying in the first place. The service was just as good. I have increasingly felt that with most businesses you can pick two of three: great quality, great service, or a great price. Rod somehow managed all three. Rod originally expected the job to take one day. Around midday Monday, he called and left me a voicemail asking whether he could keep the car until the following morning because it could benefit from some additional work. I was in a meeting and could not respond right away. When he had not heard back from me within about an hour, he decided to honor the turnaround he had originally promised and worked double time to finish the additional work. The car was ready that same Monday evening. When we picked it up, Rod and his team were clearly proud of the work and excited to show us the result. That meant a lot. You can tell when someone genuinely cares about the work they are putting their name on, and that was absolutely the feeling we got. They were transparent, stayed within budget, and did more than I expected without trying to upsell me into something I did not want. I am actually pretty critical when it comes to paying a lot for detailing services, so I do not give this kind of recommendation lightly. In this case, I felt like every dollar was well spent. Rod and his team gave us exactly what we were hoping for, and then some. I would absolutely trust Darring's Detail with our vehicles again. Thank you to Rod and the entire team for making our new-to-us GV70 look like something we could be excited about all over again.

I cannot say enough about Rod and the whole crew. we took our 2026 model Y to have Darrings detail apply PPF to it although they were extremely busy he actually took us in on a Sunday when they were closed treated us like royalty and identified a dent that we completely missed when we took delivery. We notified Tesla and believe it or not, they showed the dent in their pre-delivery photos that they took of the car so after much running around and talking to people, Tesla finally is taken care of it. Many thanks to Rod and his team. again they did an outstanding job on the car. I would highly recommend them and we will definitely go back.
