Got my husbands car detailed for his 33rd birthday- paid 329$- for an inside detail that was on special and originally priced at 499$ - and it was an absolute poop job. He hates his gift and told me "thank you but never do that again with this place." Fruit snacks still on mats- crumbs still in the grooves of the seats- the inside console box upfront completely untouched. The third row had French fries- popcorn- rotten food and crap galore that was completely left behind. I went inside and had them come out to correct the mistakes- which they did take an additional 20 minutes to fix the mats and the seats and the console - but when I got home and the third row was still disgusting I called and complained. Asked for a discount. Was told no. Was told 4 pairs of eyes approved the look of my car and over 4 hours was spent on my car and perhaps I needed a double detail instead. I was told I could come back within 24 hours to fix the car for a third time but my husband has said he would rather die than come back. I had my Kia Niro Rust Proofed with the 10 yr package. So I took it for it's annual touchup. I decided to have it detailed as well. I couldn't believe it when I picked it up. It looked better than when I first got it from the dealer. It looked like it had never had a person inside it. EVERYTHING looked brand new and shiny. The carpet looked spectatular, so clean it almost looked like it sparkled. Every nook and cranny looked like it was straight from the factory. I was so pleased. And I got all that at a discount. I bought a 2018 Corolla from Toyota and they sent me over to Ziebart. I had my windows tinted and an interior detail completed. The interior detail was completed fair at best and not worth the money I paid. I had to spend another hour cleaning the areas they missed. A week later I noticed some debris between the tint film and windows. On 5/5/21, I returned to Ziebart to inquire about having the film replaced to correct their errors since they claim to have a lifetime warranty. One female manager came outside to look at it and said this was normal since it was a 2018 vehicle. Why would the year of the vehicle matter? If they had prepared the windows correctly it should have no debris between the tint film and the glass. We went back inside, and this manager told another manager named Dianne Copeland (30-year employee). Dianne quickly came around the counter in a very aggressive manner and confronted me trying to explain why this is normal and not their fault and not covered by their warranty. Dianne grabbed this large sign and said see our warranty does not cover imperfections if you can't see them from at least 10 feet away. I explained it could be seen from 10 feet away. I kept asking Dianne to just come outside to look at it. Dianne apparently didn't like the fact that I was correct and that is when she referred to me as an "Asshole" I was in disbelief that anyone would act like this when I just inquired about a warranty repair. At this time both female managers came outside with a male employee. They pulled out a tape measure to see if they could actually see the imperfection from exactly 10 feet away. This was so comical that I pulled out my cell phone to get a picture and at that time they said "no" you are not taking our pictures. While the two females ran back inside the store the male employee got in my face and said you need to get off this property right now. I thought he might hit me. I asked him to step back. He went back inside the store and locked the door. I got one picture and got back into my car and left. When I got home, I googled this business and found they have numerous negative recent reviews on Google and Yelp and they specifically called out Dianne acting in an aggressive and rude manner and impossible to deal with. Beware of Ziebart, 1025 Avenue Of Autos Fort Wayne, IN managed by Diane and all her passive aggressive staff. If you read the negative reviews regarding their staffs hostility towards customers it's all true!! I had them order a truck bed cover for my company F-150 pickup truck which they required me to pre-pay before they would order the cover. When my co-worker picked up the truck after the cover had been installed there was a large gap between the new cover and the front of the truck bed wide enough to fit your finger though. My co-worker informed the Ziebart representative that this gap was unacceptable, they took the truck back to their shop and attempted to make further adjustment with little to no improvement. At that point the Ziebart employee informed my co-worker that we already paid for the cover, you picked out the cover and "it is what it is" you are going to have to figure it out. My co-worker again told them that this was unacceptable and that's when Diane and her sales team became aggressive toward my co-worker, insisting that this is the product we purchased and it is working as advertised. Diane even went so far as to insist that my co-worker watch the installation video on how to install the cover they had "professionally" installed. My co-worker left Ziebart frustrated and feeling abused by the Ziebart experience. My co-worker had contact me on my cell phone to notify me of the escalating situation he was experiencing and left the phone on speaker phone so I could hear most of the conversations happening. Five minutes later Diane called my cell phone to inform me that my co-worker was banned/ no longer allowed on their property, where I promptly told her that was not a problem because we would no longer be doing business with them again. She had flipped the narrative and wrongfully accused my co-worker of becoming aggressive, raising his voice to her staff and I quote "Growling" at her employees. This was total BS as I heard most of the verbal conversations over the speaker of the cell phone. Shame on her for trying to "Cancel" my employee and getting him into trouble or fired........ Back to the poor truck cover installation: 1). The installer failed to properly center the cover on the truck bed hence the large gap in the front between bed and the cover weather stripping. 2). The cover was adjusted to high on the bed frame and needed to be lower to the bed to allow the cover to snug up on both ends of the bed. After my co-worker and I reinstalled the cover it fits snug and tight as the cover should when properly installed. My husband and I were subjected to extreme verbal abuse and intimidation tactics by Dianne mostly but also another male employee at one point during the incident. I still feel traumatized every time I think about it and it was about 2 years ago. When my husband and I took a great amount of time to write to and then meet with and discuss the entire incident with their customer service rep, my hope was, as I told him, that no one else would be subjected to that kind of behavior. But yet in just looking at a couple recent reviews this problem still exists with this company. I can't believe Don Ayers Honda refers their customers to them knowing this problem exists and doesn't insist it be resolved. Oh and by the way, the review below by Holly A was the exact same game that Diane tried to play with us. The customer service rep that we went over our whole incident with told us that made no sense, that our service included them cleaning and sweeping the car AND YES applying the protectant. All I needed to do was pick up the articles in the car so they could work on it. So my point is, our incident happened 2 years ago and theirs 1 year ago. Really all you need to do is take a look at all of the pictures people have posted regarding the service they have had at this establishment. Despite the glowing reviews but photos of poor service listed on Yelp, our last few visits over the past four years have been less than satisfactory-and that is why we are going to shop around for an alternate location for our detailing services. So what has been happening is the following pattern: We bring in our vehicle for detailing service. We get a phone call indicating our vehicle is ready for pick up. We look in the vehicle upon arrival and see major portions missed or not addressed to satisfaction to which the service attendant agrees with the poor service. Service attendant says something like give me 15 minutes of your time and then 45 minutes later the vehicle is "ready" but still not completed in a satisfactory manner. As a customer paying for a service, all I want is for it to be done right the first time. When you call me and tell me my vehicle is ready for pickup, I expect to come, find my vehicle with the service provided to it as I agreed to pay for, pay, and then leave. I really don't want to have to wait an extra "15 minutes" (also known as 45 minutes or more later) for a job that should have been inspected and done right in the first place BEFORE a call was made for me to Pick up the vehicle. What was even more concerning about our most recent visit, is that the service advisor was shown places in the vehicle desiring some additional attention, to which he indicated they would be addressed. They were not even touched. Moral of the story... If you want a location that does not have someone inspect the work ahead of giving you the finished product, and if you like to wait several times before getting the service you really deserve the first time, then this is the place for you! Even though I make them aware of the issue, they fail to see the point that they should be getting this right the first time for the customer. Instead, I am told to bring my vehicle back so they can work on it more at a later date (because they couldn't just take care of it right the first time), or bring my vehicle in more often for service. Nice that this is offered... But why should I have to do this if you are doing your job right the first time? Don't expect any discounts for poor service. Just some excuses and arguments for less than adequate customer care. The exterior of the vehicle was done well on all of our visits...so one extra star there. The interior still needed more attention though. Bring your vehicle down if this is the type of service you enjoy. Perhaps you will have a similar experience or maybe you will luck out and have something different. I'm a little confused as to how someone could be so rude and her employees so nice. Perhaps they are scared of her? I surely will have nightmares of my visit for years to come. I went to get my annual renewal service done today and the sales guy suggested a film on the front of the hood for my rock chips I have. He offered me a discount and I went ahead and had it I installed for $199 along with my normal service. When I came later in the day and picked up my vehicle they hadn't swept it out or reapplied the Ultra Fabric Protector. When I came back in to ask the guy who took care of me the lady manager came over and told me that I didn't get that. When I said I'm a bit confused on what I paid for she then proceeded to tell me very rudely and loudly, "that's because you're reading and not listening to me." I then stood there and listened while she quoted a whole bunch of things that weren't relevant to my questions about the interior. (Because I wasn't listening to her earlier....) And then when I pointed out that it shows on the picture and my card that they are to vacuum the interior and apply the conditioner she went on about they only do that if the car was clean. Hmm. When I was looking at my warranty in my hands she kept tapping the paper even though I kept pulling away. (Not sure if she was trying to intimidate me or what--I didn't want to ask for fear of her telling me I wasn't listening again.) She then went back and forth on things they would or wouldn't vacuum and told me that they would vacuum the front of the vehicle, when we walked outside it was evident they hadn't. Then she told me if I detailed the car myself she would put conditioner and fabric protection on it as much as I wanted for the year for free. No where does it say that on my cards. They then proceeded to vacuum it all out as a favor for me. At the end of the day, I have no clue what is covered on my annual renewal service and what I can't figure out is if I just spent over $200 with tax at their business today why they would treat me this way. I guess I need to call their corporate office to figure it out. I'm not calling that place back. I'm afraid of getting scary lady or her hostage employees. I took my Jeep in on June 24th for front window tint and scratch removal/paint protection application. I dropped it off at 11am and picked it up at 5pm. I thought the experience was great and they immediately fixed an issue when I brought it up. The next time I drove my Jeep on June 26th, I discovered that the bag I had behind the driver's seat on the floor had been rifled through. All zippers on the bag were open and some contents were on the floor of the passenger side. This bag contained very personal clothing items, so this feels incredibly violating. There is no reason my back doors should have been open. I reported this the morning of June 27th to Ziebart, and I was basically told if something was missing that I should file a police report. Tiffany kept asserting that my Jeep was locked in between techs working on it, and I told her I believe someone in that shop is being dishonest. There was no mention of investigating the incident among their employees. I know it was one of their people and I will not be back. My family who has given them business for years will also not be back. Ziebart does not seem concerned about this incident. The trust is lost. read more

As I walked in the door a nice lady ask if she could help, I asked her to show me the different types of bed covers. She asked if I had an appointment, I told her I didn't but would as some as I buy one. She told me I needed an appointment just to have someone show me what they have. We have had two different cars done here. The first was a truck and we got the Rhino Line sprayed in the bed. No complaints. The second is an SUV. We had the invisible bra put on and window tint along with the total interior and exterior protection package they were offering. The clear bra started to pucker on an edge within a week and we took it in to have them replace it on the hood. The replacement was hand cut, even though they have a plotter to cut the film. How do I know it was hand cut? The edges looked like they were cut with scissors by some without a steady hand. Also it didn't cover all of the area that the first piece covered so I got to see that they cut the first film using a razor blade right into my clear coat! Not cool! The car only had 200 miles it when I brought it to them. Found another razor blade cut on my mirror where a pucker was removed. The tint got installed over dirt. I could take it back to them to fix, but I am letting them touch my car again. read more

I took my 2015 GMC Sierra Denali (which I have owned for less than 2 weeks) into Ziebart off Illinois Road for underbody coating. During my initial call into Ziebart to schedule my appointment the manager told me that every vehicle in for underbody treatment is pressure washed for proper preparation. After I dropped it off I received a call stating, the underbody had a film on it and it would need to be pressure washed before the coating was applied to ensure proper application, which would be an additional $89 charge. I told them to go ahead and take care of whatever issues needed to be addressed to ensure the job is done correctly. I was contacted the next day to let me know it was ready to be picked up. I knew I would not make it before the store front closed so I told them to go ahead and leave my keys in the truck and I will pick it up. I arrived to pick up my truck minutes after they were "supposed" to be closed. When I arrived there were 4 employees in the lobby with the front door open. I pulled up to my truck and gave it a quick look over. I was immediately disappointed when I saw the results. I walked to the store front door that was open minutes before, that now happened to be locked, and saw 4 employees standing inside. I knocked on the door and the assistant manager came up, slightly opened the door and proceeded to tell me if I had an issue with the work they had done to come back during business hours. I asked to speak with his manager, and was then threatened by him to shut the door on my f****** nose. He then continued to yell in my face, threatening to beat my a**. During all this being said, the manager finally came to the door and also told me to come back tomorrow because it's not her responsibility to deal with customers 15 minutes after "closing time". She started to reason with me and walked out to my vehicle to look it over. First off I showed her the scratches on the passenger bed side that were not there before I had brought it in. She immediately blamed it on the dealer I had bought it from, becoming extremely defensive. I know my vehicle inside and out better than anyone else and that is not something I would make up. Secondly, I showed her multiple spots all over my frame where the underbody coating, that had been applied less than 2 hours before were dripping on to the parking lot. Third, I presented the multiple surfaces which I was charged by them to pressure wash, that still had dust, dirt and grime on them that the underbody coating was directly applied to forgoing the proper cleaning. Lastly, I brought to her attention the several areas of my truck they oversprayed, including the exhaust, fender wells, and my running boards. Throughout the entire conversation, the manager, Diane was extremely rude and defensive. In the end she assured me Ziebart was not responsible for the scratches and the underbody coating was applied to the best of their ability and they did a "state of the art job". Bottom line, do not let Ziebart do as much as look at your vehicle if you care about it the slightest bit. As for the managers, their actions speak for themselves, and as a business owner myself, I'm not sure how they sleep at night. read more

I called and asked ceramic tint specifically. I was asked about my vehicle and specific question of do you have a rear sliding window. Yes I do was the answer. Ok so for you truck it'll be 315.99+ tax. I get to my appointment the have me down for the wrong vehicle and my quote at that time was 500.99+tax. I was not to happy. After some talking price came down to 425.99+tax. Ok so me and my wife left the truck. As the time went by the wife was not happy about the whole experience so we went back to get our truck. I went in to the keys and was told it was not done. I understood that I could see my truck hadn't been touched. So the lady at the counter goes back and talks to someone who ends up being the manager. At that time I was told the film had been cut already. She gave me 2 options, pay for the job that hadn't been done and leave without my windows tinted or wait till it's done and then take it. She was refusing to give me my keys. So at this time I went out to talked to my wife when a tech that does the tint said that the price they quoted me was way to high. This was said to the manager not me. I went back in and they had lowered the price to 389.99+tax. I ended up getting my tint done but all around experience was the absolute worst and I would not recommend anyone go there for work. read more

I was not impressed. After driving for an hour to get there, I was told that the lobby is closed, no restroom and that it would take all day. Then why make an appointment..? She offered a clear hard protectant of some time and since they didn't have a computer generated cut-out spec they would have to do it by hand. I was able to bring my vehicle in the next day and had it back in by 12pm the following day. The clear film they installed looked great. The customer service is fantastic, and Diane is one of the best there. They have competitive pricing and warranties that can't be beat. Took my 2015 Acadia in for front side window tint. Discussed the tint with the rep and told him I didn't want the tint darker than the rear sides. He pushed, pushed and pushed the ceramic which I said no. I left there and noticed tint being rather dark. I was out a few days later after dark and was very disappointed. I had to lower the windows when stopped at intersection to see, not acceptable. I took it back and explained I did not get what I wanted. They said I would have to pay for everything to get new tint. And oh yea, they did have a lighter tint that would have more closely matched the factory rear windows. They did not listen to me. If you care about your money and your car, stay away from that facility. I was stupid enough to make rust protection and undercoating there in spring of 2020. Specially asked for that, they promised to remove any loose rust and to treat frame of my SUV with rust inhibitor before spraying the tar. At the end of the summer of 2020 I was working on my car and found out that none of preparations have been done. The undercoating tar was sprayed over dirt and rust. I could remove chunks of it just with my fingers. Practically, I paid good money for making corrosion situation much worse than it was before their treatment as moister will be trapped under the coating and eat through the metal twice faster than on untreated frame. Maybe, just maybe, the way they treat the cars might be good for brand new ones, but for a car that was on the road for more then a couple of years, their treatment is simply killing the car. read more

I left work early today to drop off one of my cars for its annual maintenance cleaning. I left work early so I could get there before they closed and actually hand my keys to someone and go over the service request. I got there 20 minutes before they closed and walk in the reception area. There were 3 employees behind the desk including the manager. Diane I think. She told me someone would be right with me. There was one customer at the desk. She then asked if I was dropping off or picking up. I said dropping off. She then directed me to the outside drop off box to fill out an after-hours drop off form. I said I was there while they were open so that I didn't need to do that. She then directed me to the waiting area and told me I would need to wait for a half hour while they took care of other customers. I questioned why the wait when the reception area was empty. She said there were 8 customers waiting on the phone and since my appointment was the next day, I would just have to wait. I have experienced questionable customer service from this location in the past, but this was the last straw. I told her I was done and walked out. I have spent thousands of dollars with Ziebart over the years in spite of the condescending attitude I get and witnessing employees being treated like crap. This time the crap splashed on me. Someone needs to train that crew on what customer service looks like. The last few times, the cleanup was not what I would expect for the price, either. Well...I don't need to worry about that anymore. I will find the same service somewhere else where they appreciate the customer and know what great customer service looks like. The service was bad enough that I signed up for a Yelp account just to leave this review. I paid $330 ($329.99 to be precise) for a remote starter installation. Not only did the remote starter not work, but their technicians managed to disable my keyless door/ignition functions. Picture being in a busy parking lot with a 6 month old in one arm and a squirmy 4 year old on the end of your other arm: this was the situation I found myself in for three weeks until I was able to get the issue resloved. The manager Diane assured me they could have gotten me in on Monday, but had no answer as to who could cover for me at work if I took the day off ("Oh, that's your problem.") to rectify an issue they caused when failing to complete their paid for service. Did I get a partial refund for their botched butchery? "Oh not, we don't do that." Fortunately, for my growing increasingly incensed but not yet sarcastic convenience, they do offer a lifetime warranty. If only that warranty came with a rental car and some modicum of customer service. read more

In the 50 years of my life, this is the 1st time that I have ever written a review on a company. My experience with the manager, Diane C., was nothing short of frustrating. She was condescending, arrogant, abusive, and quite frankly, down right rude. I myself have been a car enthusiast long before I could drive. I have been drag racing for ~ 35 years, have had a car featured in GM High Tech and Chevy High Performance magazines, and operated/managed a performance shop for several years here in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Bottom line, I have a passion for the automotive industry. My initial experience on Dec 26, 2018 was outstanding. Cody, the lead ARE salesman at Ziebart, did an outstanding job on getting me exactly what I wanted for my Ram 3500. He was extremely knowledgeable on the features that ARE carried, and didn't try to upsell me on additional options. We agreed that I would wire the 3rd brake light for the cap since I do all of my own wiring. He did spend about 15 minutes going over the other products that Ziebart offered, but to be honest, I just wasn't interested in the coatings. I do all of my own work, and to be frank, this truck will not spend too much time in the snow. Rather, it's for pulling the drag cars around in the summer. Not even after a month of ordering the cap, Cody called and let me know it had arrived and was ready for install. Wow, ARE built that fast! We set up an install date for Jan 25, 2019, and I was told they would need the truck for 3 to 4 hours. I arrived at Ziebart, 1025 Ave of Autos, Fort Wayne, In., promptly at 0800. I was excited to get the cap installed knowing the quality of ARE caps. As I entered the business, Diane greeted me. I told her that I was dropping of my new truck for a cap install and I wanted to verify with the installer that I was to perform the wiring. She immediately got defensive, told me they had to wire the cap, and that I was not allowed to talk to the installer. From there, the conversation went down hill. She told me she had been doing this for 25 years, how dare I question her, and it was not for me to tell them how to install the cap. I thought, this is my truck, what is the problem? She then followed up with wanting to see my truck, and after a quick walk around asked what kind of paint protected I had on it. I told her I do my own wax and paint protectant. She immediately commented, since I was in my military uniform, that I should know better since I work for the government and I should know that the salt that is put down on the roads would destroy my truck. She grabbed a brochure to try to sell me their other products. I thought, what about my cap?? I told her Cody already went over this and that I wasn't interested. She said Cody works for her and she was going to do this again. All awhile my wife was waiting outside to take me to work, and she had to get to work herself as well. Diane proceeded to talk over me and continued to talk about their protectants, and I finally told her to stop, and we need to discuss my cap. She replied, we will not install the cap and would give me my install money back. I thought, what the heck?! I just paid $3k for a cap and now need to get a trailer to pick it up.... this is getting ridiculous. Well, long story short, after trying to get her to be a bit more rational, and after talking to their installer, they agreed to install the cap. I have now idea why she would complain about me doing the wiring, that is the most difficult part of the install anyway. They were going to cut into my factory harness, which is why I told Cody that I would take care of it. My plan was to just plug it into my 5th wheel plug as they do not carry the 7 way plugs. Either way, this is the most frustrating purchase in my automotive career. It should and could have been so darn simple. I now have read many other reviews regarding Diane C. and her temper. I wish I would have done my homework before going to this Ziebart, and I can assure you that I will not be back. It's too bad I had to mark 1 star; the rating should be zero. I have had some work done by them and was quite pleased, the only thing that got me was when I was getting a early x-mas present a remote start the guy behind the counter was massaging my mothers hand while it was on the counter which she said later kinda creeped her out! read more
