It's nice to have a safelite close by for glass repair. With travelers insurance you file the claim through the app and it is easy to see what is available for appointments at the shop or if you want them to come to you. Of course they can't work miracles to make your glass completely like new but you can see the before and after pictures. Replacing a windshield is costly and also a pain so if i can fix it instead I would take that option. In and out in 40 minutes for this complex windshield repair. I hope I don't have to use their services in the future but with the roads in Indiana I'm glad this is an option read more

Called last week to get a chip in my front windshield sealed. The technician came out to look at it and we were told it needed replaced. We were then told that someone would call us to reschedule. No one called. When we called the office to reschedule they made an appointment for us and sent us a quote that was twice as much as the original. After having a scheduling conflict, I made a new appointment for a sooner date. The quote I got was still almost twice as much and the technician never called to tell me they would be late. My appointment was between 12-5 and they arrived at 6. I waited around an extra hour after my workday was over. I feel a discount should have been given for my troubles. The technician was extremely nice but every customer service representative I have dealt with has been nothing but rude. One even tripled my quote and told me there wasn't enough information for her to send out a technician even though a technician had already been out 3 day prior. My family has used safelite before and been very happy, however we are very disappointed with our service this time as well as the major differences in quotes for the replacement. read more

This place has replaced my back window 3 times. Each time they've replaced it, the window ends up leaking about a year down the road. I have been waiting for 3 weeks to get the window replaced again. A technician looked at it last week and confirmed that it was Safelite's issue due to the bonding. We took several videos as proof. Now they're sending another technician out tomorrow to double check that the first guy was right. The leak ruined a part in my truck and the dealership won't replace it or order the part until Safelite fixes the window. This place is beyond ridiculous. Customer service just passes me around when I call to find out any updates. The manager and assistant manager will not return my calls. I was referred to the district manager but apparently the guy doesn't have a phone and can only be reached by email. If the glass is covered by a warranty, and a technician has confirmed the issue, why is Safelite ignoring me and procrastinating the repair? I do not recommend this place unless you want to have your glass replaced every year and each time, the customer service gets worse. Plan to not have a vehicle for at least a month while they waste your time not fixing the issue. This place is an absolute joke! read more

Crooks. $500 for a windshield that cracked in half after a week. Shoddy Install job, and they won't admit it and honor their warranty.

Called the insurance company to file a claim. After a few phone prompts it took me to apparently Safelite phone rep. The lady on the phone was very nice and after all the questions etc. she asked if I wanted to get new wiper blades while the windshield was being replaced. She said they are by Advanced and some sort of beam model. She also said they are awesome, the best. I knew I needed them badly so I said yes. The charge was going to be $74.88. Seemed pricey but convenience is worth something. The shop said they only carry Bosch. Asked what model, they didn't know. I'll soon find out if it was worth that kind of money. Hoping I got Bosch Icon. They would have been about $58 at Amazon but they also had some beam model (for all I know they all may be beam) that was only $13.99 a blade. Hope I didn't just pay $75 for cheap wipers. That's not a good way to get repeat business. read more

Safelite efficiently preplaced a cracked windshield on our vehicle. They informed me the process would take up to 3 hours depending on the time it takes to recalibrate. the camera, etc. Well, to my delight, since I was sitting in the lobby, it took less than two hours. The quality of installation is perfect. However, the installation cost me an extra $30 because they did not transfer a car wash sticker from the old windshield. So, if you have a monthly or longer pass to your favorite car wash, make sure they transfer the Sticker ! read more

I had my rear view window replaced here in July and I KNEW they messed it up. It looked like it was bending wrong. I went back the next day and they said it was nothing. Few months goes by and it had bent so much that it just snapped and shattered. So I took it in to get it replaced with the Warranty and they wouldn't believe me. They found "evidence" of an impact from a COMPLETELY shattered window. So right off the back I was pretty upset that they were about to screw me over on a window THEY messed up. However, I discussed with them for awhile and said my peace, and they ended up understanding and replaced it for free. The lady at the front desk was VERY nice. 3rd Time is a charm My first appointment on 03-27-18 had to be cancelled due to the technician calling in due to illness. Totally understandable. At this time, I told the person letting me know we had to reschedule that the 'chip' had started spread and we would have to replace the windshield. She asked me again about the make and model of my vehicle. I informed her it was a Jeep Cherokee Latitude and that it did have the side mirror blind spot indicators and the rear camera. No worries, someone would be there Wednesday 03-28-18 to replace the windshield. Wednesday 03-28-18-Technician shows up to replace the windshield. They have the wrong one for the vehicle. They will return Thursday 03-29-18 with the correct windshield and replace it at that time. Thursday 03-29-18-Technician shows up to replace the windshield. Oops!!! Once again they have the wrong windshield. I can understand having the incorrect one the first day, but if you know it's wrong from the day before and you actually were looking at the vehicle, shouldn't you obtain all the information to get the correct windshield when you return???? Now they have to order the windshield and will not return until Monday 04-02-18. Monday 04-02-18-Technician shows up with the correct windshield and successfully replaces it. Yeah!!!! However, I have a window sticker for unlimited car washes. It was never moved from the original windshield to the replacement. I now have to contact the car wash to get the sticker replaced. This has involved a phone call, a special trip to the office and redoing the unlimited car wash account. I feel the final product was successfully installed. I feel bad for the final technician that showed up because the correct information should have been obtained on one of the calls or visits prior to him being the one to complete the job. I'm sure he was frustrated about all the confusion and may be why he forgot to replace car wash sticker. The windshield is replaced and I am satisfied with the final product. read more

Their commercials state that your life shouldn't have to wait- but mine did. I had to go to my lawyers office between the time frame given for my appointment of 12pm-5pm. And they told me that I was not allowed to change to address of my appointment or I would have to reschedule and the next appointment was 2 weeks out. I had already, at this point, waited a week to get my windshield fixed. They had also, while fixing the small abrasion in my windshield, scratch my window. read more

I heard a lot about this service, thought it would be great because I work out of town. They came to my office and fixed everything, charged it to my insurance and that was that. However, I found out later that they had broken the clips on the windshield causing a devastating leak that would lead to a ruined footwell panel. Which controls the windows, sunroof, radio exc. MINI replaced my radio and sunroof motor while trying to find the reason that things kept malfunctioning. This company's lack of ethics is a serious problem, having known full well that those pieces had broken, they did not inform me and let it ruin portions of my car. I may not have had to pay out of pocket for their service that day, but it has now cost well over $2,000. Stick to your local businesses, with people you can trust. Like Alford Motors in Fort Wayne. My windshield started to crack pretty bad on the passenger side starting at the edge of the glass. I scheduled an appointment online and due to my vehicle having three or four models of a windshield, they had to reorder and reschedule my appointment. They mentioned getting a better system to avoid those complications, yet it really wasn't an issue for me. They replaced the windshield later that week. I was told the wait would only be an hour to an hour and a half. Two hours had passed and one of the supervisors came to tell and show me that in the process of putting everything back together, they couldn't get the passenger side windshield wiper back on because it was cross threaded. He admitted that they didn't know 100% if it was his technician or if it was like that from the last time someone tried working on it. He had to order a new motor which cost $426.00. They didn't make me pay for anything right away and the part came within 3 days. I kept asking who is responsible to pay for it and I didn't get a clear response. Regardless, I followed up with the dealership I bought the car at. I had all the service records, there was only one owner before me, and all of the work had been done at the dealership alone. None of the work that was done required the windshield wiper to be replaced. They were not aware of the issues I was dealing with, so I leaned more towards the Safelite technician having done something wrong. The part came in and they replaced it within the day. I went in to pick my car up and pay for everything. I was paying out of pocket, so I was really hoping not to have to pay for this issue. They did not charge me and even took money off the final price of the windshield and wipers I ordered to be replaced. The staff was incredibly friendly and apologetic for the inconvenience. They never actually told me who was responsible, but it didn't matter much to me since they replaced it and paid the bill. I was pretty furious when it all happened, but they made sure to take care of the issue and I was happy with the results. read more

We had to set 5 appointments in order to get our windshield replaced. The first two were canceled by Safelite because the glass they had was flawed or somehow imperfect. The third appointment the glass was installed, but when we drove it the wind came in to whistle. On the fifth appointment, we had to take our vehicle to them at their garage. When I got into my vehicle I noticed the seat was moved quite a bit toward the dash. When I tried to move the seat back I found the controls on the side of the seat were loose and broken. I knew the controls were fine when I dropped the vehicle off because I moved the seat all the way back so it would not be in their way. The assistant manager swore to god they didn't do it. When I asked if he did the work he said no. I asked if he had talked to the technician that did do the work and he said no. I am working to talk with Safelite to have them repair this problem. Overall, very disatisfied with this experience and the unprofessional nature of this assistant manager. read more

Broke my front and rear window on my 2000 superduty. Sent them a message asking if I get new windows if the seal will be replaced. I was told from safelite that yes the seal is replaced to honor there lifetime warrenty. (Lifetime warrenty only covers install and leaks nothing more. kinda a waste.) Then when the tech came to install my rear window he said that there will be no seal. It would cost a extra $100 for that. I showed them the message from safelite. He called his boss. and they still did not honor what they said. So he reused the 17 year old seal. Then said if it leaks that the seal will have to be replaced. Also that day the safelite finally got back with me and said that that seal doesn't seal the window from water. Yet the tech guy said it does. and it clearly stops the rain from getting in. Its the only seal on the window. For $300 I expected a seal. As I haul campers. So I go through a front window about once a year. I canceled the front window install happly. The seal is very important. And so is how you treat your customers. read more

I just returned home from having a windshield replaced, and was so pleased with the service and professionalism, I had to immediately write this review. Jason Strzesynski, the manager, and his team of professionals began their exemplary service as soon as I opened the front door. Being greeted by Jason, he explained the process and timeline of replacing the windshield and the updates I would receive. He handed me the remote and directions to the coffee and headed back into the shop. The waiting area was quite comfortable and clean, as well as free from clutter. On the wall I noticed a small framed picture with photos and a story of how Safelite and other local businesses came to the aid of a local family in need. I asked Jason about it and as he explained, he also shared many other stories of this local business giving back to our community. On my way home I had to smile. I never knew how much joy and sense of community I would feel by getting my windshield replaced.
