Nice place, clean and real friendly people at and behind the bar. Will be back pool tables and a wide variety of beers.

The drinks were excellent--well-balanced, creative, and clearly made with skill. There was also a live musician performing during my visit who was amazing and added a great atmosphere and really elevated the overall vibe. Service, however, was a mixed experience. One of the bartenders (a newer female bartender) was very friendly, attentive, and showed a lot of potential--she made a great impression despite seeming a bit new. Unfortunately, the other bartender completely brought the experience down. He came across as rude, disengaged, and honestly like he didn't want to be there at all. I understand it was a busy night, but there was very little sense of urgency from him, and wait times felt longer than they should have been--even factoring in the crowd. That said, I do understand everyone can have an off night, and given how good the drinks and atmosphere were (plus the positive reviews I've seen elsewhere), I'd likely be willing to give it another shot. Overall, great cocktails and ambiance, but inconsistent service keeps it from being a top-tier experience--for now. I will be happy to update following a repeat visit.

For starters they are open for lunch !! Yay sushi for lunch !!…read more Started with some appetizers. The spring rolls were ok. I was hoping for fresh wrapped in rice paper but they were deep fried. Not my favorite. For the next week got the tuna takati. Now that was so good !! A beautiful light sear and a delicious taste and the presentation was also so nicely done !!! For mains I got the seafood ceviche salad. My does that have some good heat !! Nice amounts of seafood and you can really taste it all, it isn't overpowered at all like some I have had in the past. Totally one I would order again. Also split a white sox roll with the husband and again a great tasting dish !! The restaurant is clean. The staff is really nice and the ice tea is great as well. Try this place, you won't be disappointed !!!

Shea was our waitress and did a great job. We started with the soft shell crab appetizer which was a bit underwhelming. It was tempura battered but it contained just two pieces of crab, two onions and two pieces of broccoli. I would not get this again as I thought there would be more crab. The tuna tataki appetizer made up for it. The pieces are generous, covered in sesame seeds and melted in your mouth. The dipping sauce was a great addition. We also shared an MJ roll which was wrapped in soy paper and had tempura shrimp, yellowtail, jalapeño and cucumber. It was quite good. We also had a dragon roll which my husband really enjoyed. It had shrimp tempura, BBQ eel, avocado, cucumber and eel sauce. My aunt ordered avocado salad and added chicken. It had generous pieces of cut chicken on top and was a nice looking salad. My husband also enjoyed the gyoza which were six large potstickers filled with chicken. They serve wine and beer, plus have a small selection of sake. They were sold out of all sake except Gekkeikan sake, which we tried cold. The waitress made a little mistake at the end with the bill and credit card payments, which she credited and redid. We paid cash for one meal and card for the rest but the cash item was accidentally added to the total bill and credit card. It was corrected and all was fine. We loved the food and atmosphere and would definitely come back.

Worth the Drive - One of the Best Pizzas I've Ever Had**…read more If you're looking for authentic Neapolitan pizza, make the trip to **Iniga Pizzeria Napoletana** in DeKalb. It is, without question, some of the best pizza I've ever eaten! Every pizza arrives beautifully blistered with that signature airy, chewy crust that only a true wood-fired oven can produce. The ingredients are exceptional--from imported San Marzano tomatoes and creamy mozzarella to fresh herbs and premium toppings. Each pizza is handcrafted, simple, and absolutely bursting with flavor. Our favorites? Mais Pizza - sweet corn, creamy cheese, and just the right amount of char...unexpected and unforgettable. Hot White Pizza - rich, spicy, and incredibly satisfying. Pesto & Burrata - fresh, vibrant, and decadent with perfectly creamy burrata. San Marzano Tomato & Sausage - classic done to perfection. Sometimes the simplest combinations are the very best. The menu extends well beyond pizza with charcuterie, salads, gelato, desserts, cocktails, beer, and wine, plus gluten-free crust options for those who need them. If I had one suggestion, it would be to refresh the indoor atmosphere a bit. The food deserves an interior that matches its quality and creativity. The outdoor patio, however, is a wonderful place to enjoy a meal on a beautiful day. Brent as your server will take up another notch! And here's a bonus..Monday is half-price pizza. You'll probably find me there. Iniga doesn't just serve pizza--it delivers an authentic taste of Naples right here in Illinois. It's a destination restaurant that's absolutely worth the drive. Highly recommended!

We decided to drop in since it had just opened, and we wanted to see what they had to offer. If you look at the name "pizzeria napoletana" you may get the idea that this isn't Pizza Hut. It isn't. This is (according to my wife who has been to Naples in Italy) pizza the Napoletanese way. Thin crusts, interesting toppings, and different than mainstream American pizza. When we arrived we were promptly greeted at the door as we walked in, and given a choice of bar or dining room seating. We selected the dining room. Both areas were warm and comfortable, with the usual things in the bar (big screen TV) and dining room (art on the walls, nice tables and chairs, nice booths). We started with the Bagna Cauda, which was delicious. It seemed to be a little light on the garlic compared to my friend's version of the dish, but it was still good. It was served with bread, fennel, pepper and zucchini for dipping. It could have fed 4. For pizzas, my wife ordered their Margherita Verace, and I ordered their Puttanesca pizza. The Puttanesca had green olives, brown olives and white anchovies. The crust was very thin - so thin that I ended up cutting this with my knife and using my fork. I couldn't even fold it - the crust is very soft. I tried my wife's Margherita Verace, and it was similar in crust. It had lots of good stuff on it, and tasted good. Drinks were reasonably sized. I had a glass of wine which was fresh, and my wife after trying to order (and pronounce) Raganrok found that they were out of the sweet mead, so she went with a Negroni instead, which she said was quite good. The bathrooms were clean, but chilly in temperature. I hit the hot air hand dryer as I walked out in an effort to warm up the space. Clean, all fixtures worked, and well kept. The question boils down to this: Are you willing to experience pizza the way it was originally made - or not. If you are willing, you should try this place out. If you aren't willing - well, that's on YOU to change. You're missing a lot.

A group of family recently was in town and we decided to eat at Rivers Edge due to the great…read morereviews. The food was good, the place was nice, and our server was fine, but this negative review is based solely on the actions of the Manager. My partner has a dietary restriction, she cannot have dairy. When we arrived, she went through a common routine for us with the server. She'll ask about a number of dishes, and ask what is (or may be modified) to be dairy free. Then she picks something that she can have from there. She ordered with the table and we had two rounds of appetizers while we waited. The issue started when we were about to be served our dinners. The Manager walked over and stated that they were unable to make her dish dairy free and asked her to order again...when everyone's dinner was going to be served. Her tone was poor and she showed little to no empathy. She said she "can't make miracles happen". The news was delivered so poorly that my partner left the restaurant crying and went elsewhere to eat. The timing of the notification made no sense, since we were there approximately an hour at this point and they could have told us when the issue was discovered and not before the rest of the food was ready to be served. A couple of us talked to her (the Manager) in the stairwell and let's just say that conversation didn't go well either. No one really raised their voice, but she took no accountability, nor offered any solutions. If I was in her shoes, I would have told the kitchen to prep something quick and easy and non dairy, perhaps some sides or an app. I'd comp that mini dish and call it something silly like the "We screwed up platter." Ask her to order something new, but give her that plate to eat with the family and maybe a free drink. Do something to make it right and not act like you and the team did not make multiple errors along the way and tell her to watch everyone eat. Because that is what she did, she expected her to watch everyone at the table eat. On top of that, not only was there no offer to make anything right, we were charged extra! We were charged for a party of 8, but only had 7, which became 6 when my partner left. They took off the extra charge when we asked, but it shows how little they cared.
