Very friendly and informative staff. We stopped by for a beer. We decided to try the food since the waiter was so friendly and enthusiastic about their items. We tried the home made mushroom soup. It was the best mushroom soup I've ever had. Very rich and creamy. We had the wings for an appetizer with the Thai chili and blueberry bbq sauces. Blueberry is house made and Both sauces are delicious. I had a half of a order of the corn beef and cabbage with carrots. All were tender, perfect, and delicious. For dessert, we had the beignets with chocolate. We really enjoyed our dinner. Thanks to both the chef, server, and Manager. read more

The seafood chowder special was good. It was not a thick soup, it was more on the runny side but had big chunks of seafood. I was not a big fan of the rest of the menu, so I don't know if I would come back here. Food is a bit on the salty side. Our visit was in the evening (Sep/ early Oct), and there was a waft here and there of a stench like sewage? I am not sure why the bar seating had this odor when the bathrooms were on the other side. Was a bit unappetizing but we tried to ignore it. Service was fast when it came to our ordering and drinks came out quickly. Food was on the slow side. See my pics. We were driving through and decided to get a bite to eat. Your typical pub/bar vibes and I was pretty impressed with the food. I wanted an IPA and their draft list was pretty outdated so I settled on one in a can which is fine. The guy who helped us was helpful and attentive enough. WOW what a great new restaurant in Ottawa Illinois! Really cool ambiance with stainless steel bar filled with anything for any great cocktail... also nice wines and craft beers! We loved our meals. The Pork Chop Sandwich with Blueberry BBQ Sauce was awesome..... and omg don't forget the Potato Wedges, crispy edges, seasoned well and thinly cut... so good!! They have outdoor seating or inside high tops and comfy bar seating too. The staff are all great at suggestions and very attentive. I loved their Irish kiss logo... check out the pint glass photo!! I made one of these just for this, and as I'm still new to the Ottawa/Marseilles area. I've only been there with my family about twice, but drinks are average, hard to mess those up, but where it gets really bad is the service. It's slow and unwelcoming, and it feels like you're being completely ignored. It seemed like their head waitress was more interested in smoking in their back area then helping their staff and it felt too crowded. I plan on trying this place again, but I just hope in the future there is better service/staff actively there. read more

Ive had better. I frequent a lot of Irish Pubs around the USA and this one did not seem to be authentic. Husband says, "You dont hit a home run everyday." I tried it because I over heard someone in Aldi say to another person that Keagan's Irish Pub was really good. I had the $18 special Guiness Stew over Mashed potatoes (I rate is a 5 out of 10 for flavor) portion size was good....and the roll was a 10 (warm and soft.) My husband had the Rueben burger: the burger tasted like a frozen patty and the sauerkraut was unflavorful. The cornbeef was not homemade and was fatty. Entire bill with tip $50 Basically, not a restaurant I would come to a 2nd time. Just my 2 cents- try it for yourself- you may see it differently. read more

We stopped in here, first timers, after a hike at Matthiessen State Park. Friendly staff, multiple specials to choose from. Seafood chowder was tasty. But the Bourbon breakfast burger.... delicious!!! The beer was served in ice cold frosted glasses, and the bar chips were plentiful and crisp. A new fan!!! read more

We were there 11/18. Our drinks were good, average priced. The menu is not Irish. My fried mushrooms were awful. It's a very spacious and clean place but only the name is Irish. 'No Irish ambiance. What a shame. It's new but needs a lot of work. read more
