After Pep Boys Marlow Heights (Store #0073) installed new tires on my 2007 Toyota Camry, my car immediately developed rubbing noises and visible tire damage that did not exist prior to their service. My vehicle has been unsafe to drive ever since. I followed every step they gave me. I contacted them repeatedly. I sent photos, emails, and documentation. I even told them my phone was broken and asked for written communication so everything could be documented. They ignored that and still never reached out. At this point: * My car is undriveable * I've had to move it in unsafe condition just to avoid towing * I've exhausted money paying for storage * Pep Boys closed my case with no resolution * No one from the store or corporate has contacted me in writing * This situation has now reached the BBB and Maryland Consumer Protection Division All I am asking for is a proper inspection, a written explanation, and corrective repairs for an issue that happened immediately after their work. The initial diagnostic showed three codes, including one for the fuel rail - and electrical issue and they recommended replacing the fuel regulator. When I asked for documentation showing that the fuel system or regulator was actually tested, they could not provide any proof--everything was explained verbally only. I later asked them to check if my car had too much oil, test drive it, and see if the codes cleared. Khalil called back told me my car supposedly had 5 quarts of oil and later 8 quarts of oil when i went into the shop to speak f2f, he said they drained it, and performed another oil change - that I did not authorize. And my codes never cleared. I asked for documentation of the post-oil drain inspection, proof of the test drive, and proof that my fuel system had been tested. None was provided. They only provided a work order for services rendered and recommended. The manager Khalil and the big fish with the blonde hair refused to provide documentation that any work was done and later shared i would need to pay an addtnl dx fee of $110. The staff decided to argue me down abt my little car having 8 quarts of oil. I refused to pay for the unauthorized oil change. I was going to pay the dx fee but kept asking for documentation that work was done. They had my car for 48hrs. The manager, Khalil, gave me my key, told me I would not be charged, and told me to leave. I arrived with a check engine light and slight knocking and left with my car still knocking and now shaking. I would encourage anyone to be cautious going to this shop.

We found Ancash Roadside Assistance on Yelp and called because they had such great reviews. He answered immediately, sent me a location-sharing request, and arrived in about 20 minutes. After spending nearly two hours stranded on the side of the road, that level of responsiveness was a huge relief. Once he arrived, he got right to work and had the tire changed in less than 15 minutes. The entire process was quick, efficient, and stress-free, and we were safely back on the road much faster than expected. My only suggestion for improvement would be to introduce yourself before getting started. It was dark, and we were two women stranded on the side of the highway. When he arrived, he pulled up behind us and immediately started changing the tire without introducing himself. I genuinely appreciated the urgency and willingness to jump right in and get the job done, but in that situation, a quick introduction would have gone a long way in helping us feel more comfortable and know that the person approaching our vehicle was the roadside assistance we had called. Overall, though, the service was excellent. He showed up when we needed help, worked quickly, and got us moving again in no time. If you're stranded with a flat tire and need someone reliable, I would definitely recommend Ancash Roadside Assistance.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!…read more We took our car for a heater coil replacement. We were quote $750 and that it would take 3 days at the most. We dropped the car off on Wednesday. There was no work on our car until Friday afternoon. That 10 hour job turned into 2 weeks. The mechanic Lonzo who worked on our car should never EVER touch another car again because once he finally completed the job. The shop called and told us that he broke the shifter cable and the part they ordered would not be in until that next Monday and the car would be ready by close of business on Monday. Monday came and they said it would not be ready until the next day which was Tuesday. Tuesday came, still no car. Finally they called and said the car was ready today which is Wednesday. We picked up the car and got down the street and the check engine light was on. When turned around and went back, they had closed. Auto Zone's diagnostics said our car was operating on less than six cylinders out of 8. As of this moment, we are sitting in the middle of the street because the car completely shut down. Lonzo couldn't have known what he's was doing. Now, we cannot start the car, turn the alarm off or anything. The owner Lou has lied from day one. He said it would be $750 and only take 3 days (which other garages stated that it should have only been a 10-hour job. The office personnel (Lou and manager Jeanette) will lie to your face with every breath they take just to get rid of you for the moment. Things never come to fruition with them. The only person that was honest, professional and compassionate was another mechanic named Roy. He came to rescue us minutes ago and called a tow truck for our car, got us home and offered to pick us up the next morning. Unfortunately, he was the only one that gave a damn that we were scheduled to move out of state tomorrow morning. Now we have to alter everything because of the incompetency of Lonzo and the cold-hearted attitude of the owner Lou. After everything they have done, the final insult was they charged us more money that we were told we had to pay. These people are unbelievable. They have no conscience. No morals. No values. No honesty. No work ethic. No professionalism. You are causing yourself and your family true heartache and enormous amounts of money by taking your car to this establishment. He was rude and said "I change themI don't check them". I told him I would buy the tire no matter what but he ignored me. Turns out it wasn't the tire it was the valve in the stem. We barely made it to our destination before it was totally flat again. Put a new valve in it and it was fine. For $150 you can't include a new stem? These guys are dangerous. They must get paid per tire because they rush and care about nothing but the money.

It was about 104 for both tires including tax. The guy was super nice and very easy to work with. A month ago I ran over a pothole on the highway that destroyed my tire and caused severe rim damage…read moreliterally in 30 seconds. This definitely put a dent in my pockets and day but I didn't waste no time replacing my tire. Unfortunately, even though I got a new tire I still needed the rim repaired which I've procrastinated since then. I did my research trying to locate a rim repair shop and found a lot but never had time to go plus it definitely wasn't cheap as I compared pricing. This past Sunday, I happened to be in the area of one of the places I found in DC and decided to go get an estimate for a future repair. I will say this place is in a not so safe area if you're not use to being out here but no worries you should be fine just come when it's sunny out unless you're a DC native. Don't let the outside steer you away because this is definitely worth getting tires, repairs, etc. I met one of the repair guys named Louis who gave me an estimate and said he could do all my tires in an hour. I was hesitant at first because I wasn't prepared to do this that day but the price and timing was in my favor so I said why not. Louis kept me informed about what was being done as well as showing me his progress. He answered all my questions and made sure I was pleased with his work. This shop is definitely busy and those men work extremely hard and waste no time. For a Sunday, they stayed open later than I expected and I'm grateful for it. I'm blessed to be able to find this place and get such an amazing result for a great price. I definitely will come back if I have to but hopefully no time soon because I refuse to deal with another pothole lol. Last, the before and after is insane (in a good way).
