Went with the homies to catch this play. Damn I didnt know this was broadway! The actors were talented, funny, and great. So much fun on any date. The atmosphere was genuine, it just felt right! Plenty of space to sit with no need to rush or fight. Truly a wonderful night in deed. It's exactly what your week needs. Make sure to tip them please Cause they didn't even make us pay fees. Please go support and enjoy a good laugh. I will 1000000 percent be going back.

I attended my first free musical production at Zilker this past weekend. The small hillside is perfectly situated for blankets and chairs. We saw the Legally Blonde musical and it was really good! I have no idea what the original musical production was supposed to be like. I felt some of the songs were silly, but at least the actors had nice voices! The characters were all well-cast and were believable, even the pups! The set was cute and they moved between scenes well, nearly undetectably most of the time. Possibly one of the most surprising things about the entire night was that I was not eaten alive by mosquitoes during the show. I don't know if they sprayed prior to the show, but I took note of my error as soon as I sat down. I was pleasantly surprised the next morning when I didn't have even one itchy bite!

We came to Austin to check out Legally Blonde, this summer's theatre on the hillside production. This is my first experience with ZTP, as I'm not from Austin. It was such a fun experience. There was a storm earlier that afternoon, but they all pulled together, dried off the stage and the show went on! The actors' are so engaging with the crowd and on social media. It's such an excellent example of true community theatre. We will plan our out of towner's Austin summer weekend to include ZTP next summer for sure!

He does a family friendly show so there were a lot of people there with kids, Full families, moms, dads, grandparents. We were one of the few without kids. The staff was very friendly at the entrance, the bar, and when seating. The place is pretty big and has upstairs and downstairs seating as well as a bar on several levels. Two points that did bring the visit a little down. The seating, you are packed in like sardines. No room to stretch even a little, you bump against the stranger next to you or them into you. It is almost worse then an airplane. Two no handrails on several stairs which are also uneven. I have some ongoing spine and foot pain and it caused me issues but I saw several other people struggling and one almost falling themselves. Had it been just me or maybe one other person that would be bad enough but as several people struggled that is a huge safety issue and should be fixed. The ushers helped when they could but sometimes they were helping others and didn't see it happen. Still it was a fun time, if a bit cramped. The staff is great and I love the history but that also means it is very outdated and not very comfy to sit for an hour or more, especially with no intermission.

The performances captured the vulnerability and loneliness at the heart of the show. The themes of connection, mental health, and the need to be seen feel incredibly relevant. It's not always an easy watch, but it's meaningful and worth it. I felt every character and it truly had me breaking into tears. Getting tickets at "will call" was easy. The Libby had lots of seating. Tables and chairs, and small lounge couches. There was a young women singing on a small stage with a guitar. Played a few songs that we all knew. And charmed us with her own original song. Beautiful voice. There is a small bar in the back. I did get a small cocktail and a box of popcorn. The auditorium room had wonderful seats. It looks like row K is the best seat because they have like a small bar like table in front of you. The chairs don't have cupholders. So you end up having to hold everything or place on the floor. No one obstruct your view from the stage. Every seat is a good seat. Parking is easy. I paid $15.00 and found parking easily. I was also a little early for the show. I just started following ZACH on IG to see up coming shows. If you want to see this show, they did say they are extending to May. I hope you come see the show and support the local theater.

I went in, knowing nothing about the production and gained lots of knowledge as to the events behind it. On September 11, 2001, Gander International Airport in Newfoundland, Canada took in 38 commercial flights numbering almost 7000 passengers in response to the 911 bombings & the US closing its airspace. The a tiny town of Gander welcomed them with open arms and fed them, provided housing and clothes over the course of 4 days. It's a heartwarming story and leaves hope for the best of humanity and connection. The cast and protection were great. Adding to that is Celtic bluegrass music and an infectious enthusiasm. I highly recommend it. Running through September 27th. 1 hour 40 minute production, no intermission.

The magic shows were great along with the entire show. Everyone was very nice, the food / drink service was good and the ambiance was nice. Very good spot for humor, but if you are easily offended, especially regarding political humor, just look somewhere else. I had fun and I can see myself going back. Thank you for the great time.

Scoped out the venue which was bigger than anticipated and really enjoyed the fish tank TVs. So fun! The show was entertaining and up to date with references all relevant to the current times. Everyone on stage was great and their chemistry can be seen. The audience was laughing 99% of the time and the show went back fast! I'd totally go back for a local Austin night out with good laughs.

AP relies on a cast of seasoned local talent, including the brilliant and talented Michael Stuart, to provide a broad variety of theatrical productions each season. For live theater, the prices are reasonable, with half-price student tickets and guest ticket discounts for season ticket holders. The one thing I really appreciate about this venue is (and I repeat myself) the intimacy of the seating and stage. The stage literally ends at the edge of the first row. The most distant seats are no more than twenty feet from the stage, making the production even more real and audience connected. You get the feeling you are literally part of the play; there is no significant degree of separation between the actors and the audience. The other thing that I love is that it's literally a working company. Don Toner himself will often call back to confirm seating reservations. If it's not Don, it's frequently one of the other cast members. When you have a special request, there is no "box-office" detachment. And, at the end of the play, Don's waiting at the door to shake your hand and welcomes your comments regarding the performance. If you'd asked me ten years ago if I would ever be caught dead watching five plays a year, my answer would have been an emphatic "no". Thanks to one of Don's Actor's Equity members, John Hoff, I got hooked. John's no longer connected with the group as he's living in Colorado, but I thank him for instilling the appreciation for this troup in me. P.S. One of their most acclaimed productions is "Dead Presidents' Club", which is showing for one more day (11/9/2008) at Evans Auditorium at Texas State University-San Marcos. If you have time to catch this production today, do so. If you miss, pray for a summer revival in 2009!
