And can we talk about the organic selection? Aldi seriously delivers here, from meats, cheeses, and produce to canned goods, pasta, and drinks like coconut water and organic coffee. Since I try to eat and cook healthy, this is a huge plus for me, and Aldi's prices beat everywhere else, organic or not. A trip here isn't complete if you don't visit the "aisle of shame," which is my favorite! I always find something I didn't come for, and I often end up grabbing gifts or handy home items. I was sad to see how much the deli has changed. The store was dirty and the prepared food didn't look fresh. My neighbor told me she heard one of the new owners passed away. I don't know if this is true. And if that's the case, I am truly sorry for their loss. I'll try this deli again at some point, and I am hoping by then they will have cleaned up the store. They used to have good sausage and peppers and veal stew. Their subs were delicious and my favorite was the chicken salad. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they can turn the place around.
