It was a beautiful day and I enjoyed walking around Bedner's Farm. Rows & rows of ripe strawberry fields, cornfields, sunflowers, tomatoes & peppers. I picked up a basket and some shears and picked produce. Tractor rides, dining events, warm delicious apple cider donuts.... I came for pots of fresh herbs, unfortunately now they just have cut herbs. Somehow I managed to spend over $60 on delicious shrimp corn chowder, and bags of pristine produce. read more

Went to the fall festival with my 9 month old. She had a blast in the pumpkin patch, with the different animals and then the tractor ride. Definitely a lot to do for toddlers and up. We came here for their Fall Festival. There were lots of free parking and a few stores and food trucks at the front before going through the paid entrance. Due to arriving at 5pm, we had limited time but was able to get a lot done. They have a massive selection of pumpkins to pick from (larger, small, orange and white). There's a variety of animals at the petting zoo, corn and sunflower fields. There's tractor ride would have been better had there been more scenery. I had an amazing time with my toddler and husband. My son loves plants and being outside so he was amazed. They had a lot of spots for photo opportunities which was perfect for the fall season. We went through the corn maze, petting zoo and the sunflower patch. I was surprised at the selection of animals that they had there. I didn't get too close to the alpacas because there was a sign about them potentially spitting in the distance and we ended up seeing two ladies getting spit on . There was a certain section for a specific kind of animal you had to pay extra to be really close to it. I found that not to be cool since you already have to pay admission and should be granted access to see everything with one admission price. We had to cut the trip short due to the rain. This is such a cute little farm off 441 in Boynton. I have driven by this place my entire life and I have never been. Now with the baby; I have friends who come and do strawberry picks and visit the animals and I totally get it now. It's such a great spot to spend an hour or so and explore around outside with the little ones. We came for the strawberry spectator event so there were food trucks, the petting zoo, some vendors, and shows. It was such a great family experience. I can't wait to come back when my daughter can walk and explore the farm so she can pick veggies and fruits. And of course we will visit the animals again, she absolutely loved the donkey, the goats and the cows. (Not pictured because we were having too much fun and making memories but we got a bird cameo) The staff is friendly, we talked to the staff in the petting zoo who told us about the animals and when we checked out everyone said goodbye and welcomed us back. 11/10, love it! read more

December is the time of year for picking tomato's, strawberries and red peppers on the farm itself. Great experience as you search for these items. They give you a bucket and then weigh it when you are through. Being in the fresh air and sunshine not too hot this time of the year. I cannot express how delicious these are. Not right odd the farm. Farm fresh. But in the farm picking. Can't be more fresh than that. If you you have kids they have hayrides. And if you see hungry there are vendors. I will come back here over and over again! I loved this little big farm! We first arrived to meet with our school crew for a field trip and strawberry picking. We learned so much about the farm , the way they do their sustainable one of a kind irrigation for the fruits and veggies and we also learned about the NON GMO Organic Home grown Sweet corn they grow ! Out of this world! They typically have 3/$1 specials of that sweet sweet corn and I suggest it to everyone. I loved the ample outside space and the fact that it was connected to the Everglades. Which we also stopped by in our tour ! I highly recommend it if you have time to spend with your little ones or just yourself. Bedner's farm was the PERFECT afternoon activity spot. They have everything you can think of from grocery to vegetable picking to even a petting zoo! We got there mid afternoon and there was no entrance cost. You pay per pick and the directions on how to do so was very clear. They provide you with the materials and buckets. I was able to pick lots of different peppers and tomatoes. I felt their prices was very reasonable. We were interested in the strawberries but at the time their were nearly picked out. We had come from the Animal EDventure Park down the road so it was a fun surprise to see that they had a smaller petting area of animals at Bedners Farm too (separate cost). There was a small sunflower field to cut as well. On the way out, we stopped in the grocery and picked up some juice and bakery items to go with our haul. Came here on a Saturday afternoon, I must say it was pretty hot. I opted to do the u pick and made my way over to the field. It's a pretty big open area with the options to pick strawberries, tomatoes, peppers and sunflowers. There were a lot of strawberries options I picked some pretty big ones. Ended up with two pretty sunflowers. I would say my trip was successful. This past weekend the strawberries were 3.99 a pound. One thing I can say as well I'm not sure if my strawberries stayed in the paper bag too long or if being in the hot car did it. But by the time i took them out the bag later that day. They were bruised from just sitting in the paper bag and I mean all of them. And I know that's not the way I picked them. They have ppl selling food and I had worked up a lil appetite. I picked up a hot dog which was like 7 dollars a bit steep. And a corn on the cob also 7 dollars again a bit steep. Had to wash that down with something, so I got some freshly squeezed lemonade which I felt only had a hint of lemon in it. But that was also you guessed it 7 dollars... on hot days bring an umbrella because there is no shade and the sun is not joke in those open fields. read more

I wish I knew that tractor rides and picking strawberries wasn't offered on weekdays. It's winter break. I called on Sunday to get more information since I haven't been to Bedner's since October. I brought a child, two teens, and an adult with me. We had the expectation that we could pick strawberries and ride the tractor. Sadly, only the store, the bathroom, and mining were available. This is a great family fun way to spend your day! I arrived about 10am with a friend and her little 2 year old. We started with the petting zoo which came out to be about 7$ and change for each adult. The staff was very knowledgeable about the animals and friendly. When we had questions about the animals they took there time on giving us some fun facts. We did the kangaroo encounter which was really fun! We got to spend some time with two baby kangaroos! We also feed some cows. Most of the petting zoo is actually covered at the top so it wasn't too hot out and there was a nice breeze! After the petting zoo we walked around to the gemstones, some photo ops including the tractor and did some cornhole! I did purchase some bread inside of the store and some fresh mango iced tea right outside the store! All the workers wherever we were on the property were just so welcoming and nice. A lot of the produce is sprayed with pesticides. Or chemicals. I could taste it. I live in CA and usually buy organic food at the farmers market but took a gamble out here on vacation, buying quite a few items to cook with while I was here. I felt wonky after eating the food. No question it's sprayed. They could and should offer organic options. I actually talked to a man in the check out before I purchased asking him why they didn't have organic options. He was really defensive and cagey in his answer, and couldn't look me in the eye. Tried to assure me about the produce they were seeking being fine. It's not. Maybe some of it but certainly not all of it. The peach I bought you could literally taste the pesticides on the skin. read more

This a fun, family oriented way to spend a Saturday and create memories! We arrived around noon, which was perfect. The crowd wasn't too bad and we found parking fairly quickly. If you are not able to find parking - don't fret. I noticed an overflow parking sign leading behind the store. There was no charge for admission and the price of the U-Pick fruits and veggies were by weight. The lady at the counter was very friendly and provided us with scissors and a bucket each for our fruits and veggies. You are also able to pick Sunflowers but we skipped out on that. Make sure you check the website ahead of time to see which fruits and vegetables are in season. We went with strawberries, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Cherry tomatoes were also available during this season. The fields are well-kept and I noticed that there is also an area with real animals and tractor rides for the kids! This is a cute place for a photo-op. The inside mart has fresh produce and they even have roasted corn, turkey legs, and lemonade stands out front. I wasn't able to check out the donut cart but I will add that to my list when I return. All in all, I give this place 4 stars - just try not to go during peak sun hours to avoid the Florida heat and don't forget your sunscreen! read more

Strawberry season is here. This is one of my favorite places to go in early February. Huge U pick for strawberries, peppers, tomatoes, and flowers. Great way to spend an afternoon with your significant other and kids love it. They have a petting zoo that has gotten pretty big, and tractor trailer rides around the farm. They have really grown over the years and now includes crafts and food vendors (sadly, no more BBQ). They also have a fresh market if you prefer your fruits and vegetables already picked. Yes there is a actual farm where you can pick out veggies like peppers or fruits like strawberries from the fields. At this moment of the year they have sunflower fields as well. It's a must to go and experience. My son had a blast. The store front is nicely maintained with great produce and great options. The employees are great and ensure that you are being helped. Specially where the fields are they provide you with baskets for your fruits and veggies. Some items and fun things they have at the fields are tractor rides. I'm produce to pick they have strawberry, green and red pepper, onions, jalapeños, grape tomatoes, regular tomatoes, Mini sweet peppers and sunflowers. NOTHING is included, face paint was $10 and an hour wait, axe throwing was $5 for a few tosses, petting zoo was "free" but the food to feed them over priced, $5 for a small cup of feed, $5 to enter the bird cage, $15 to stand next to a kangaroo. $8 for a watered down lemonade. The food trucks pricing was also crazy, not even close to the value of what was offered. I have passed this market many times but today decided to stop because of the beautiful sunflowers. I already bought all of my produce the day before so I also checked their prices, certain things were high and some were priced just right. Next time I hope to buy some produce at this store. Picking my own veggies or fruit does not appeal to me at all. I don't even like to pick my own stuff I grow myself, I let my neighbors have at it. The market has beautiful produce and the store is nice, clean and organized. I like that they have a small area for kids to look at farm animals. Parking can be a pain here. We were looking for things to do over this weekend. I was disappointed to find this late in the day. Now at the fall, they have pumpkin path, hayrides, sunflower field and couple of other activities for an entrance fee. We couldn't make it in time to do those activities but we went to the market. They have great fresh fruit and vegetables. They have some homemade jams, snacks etc. Outside, they were selling fresh cut sunflowers. They had corn on the cob stand outside, I got one and it was amazing. I just want to take time to write a good review to thank the employee Dan and the paramedic Brian. I came here for the fall fest and it was so hot outside I was dizzy, blacked out and on the verge of a heat stroke (my blood pressure naturally always runs low) Brian and Dan were right there when this all went down and ran me on his shoulder to the cooler and gave me everything I needed to recover. A cooler to put cold rags and ice on my neck and take my vitals. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome, I was by the right people at the right time. I hope this company recognizes the hard work these two put into saving and helping people everyday here. I can't thank you both enough. I finally decided to stop in here and see what all the hype is about. Now I can understand why people love this farmers market. I must admit that I love "The Boys Market" but I hardly ever go there anymore. The crowds are frantic and quite frankly, some customers are mean, not to mention the parking lot is a crazy mess. I was expecting this same scenario here but I was very wrong. This market is much easier to navigate and the isles are wider. Lots of available parking when I was here yesterday too. It was an easy shopping trip and I will be back very soon. Look at those green peppers! So fresh and affordable! Much less expensive than Publix. I found all of the produce to be fresh and set up with easy to reach displays. Makes it easier for us short gals. They have a vast selection of gourmet mustards and other condiments. Fresh squeezed orange juice and fresh cut up fruit. I wish I had more time to look around because I loved this market. They have strawberry picking during season and I was told they have food trucks and children's activities during the weekend. I would call first because I didn't ask for the details. I guess it was pre-elite when I did my last review here... or maybe longer as I have been here a number of times over the years -- way more than ten years ago. But again, another location where no review comes up for me -- and I didn't realize it, so I didn't take any photos except of one thing. I'd been looking for Florida peaches in south Florida for the last couple weeks. I knew the season had started and they were picking peaches in northern Florida (I follow a couple of the u-pick places ). So far all of the suggestions were for naught. On the way to the faith farm thrift store, I decided to see if maybe they had some. And bingo! Right by the door was a basketful. I only bought a few of the peaches as I've never had them. Of course, we had to walk around inside the market while we were there. They've expanded quite a bit over the years. I wound up buying a locally grown eggplant (cheap), some Roma tomatoes (decent price; and locally grown); and a quarter of a sweet watermelon; -- in addition to the Florida peaches. Service was fast and friendly. The cashier told us they're only having picking for one more month. They have more than the myriad fruits and veggies inside the market store-- a lot of wine, and cold items, fresh squeezed orange juice, barrels of pickles, etc etc. We walked over to their U-pic area. The prices for each item are listed on the side of the wall -- and an admonishment to make sure you paid for all you'd picked. They have some areas for family fun -- but most were closed -- such as a water sluice for "gem mining"; rubber ducky races; corn hole and ring toss games. They had a "photo opportunity" with cutouts for your head(s). This could be a nice couple hours of entertainment for the kids when everything is open. No kids? Don't despair. It's clean with well marked prices in a place to shop for fresh veggies and the like. read more

The staff here is so rude! It ruins the entire experience of being here and trying to enjoy picking the strawberries and tomatoes. They over charged me for the peppers my daughter picked because we wound up taking some out to give to my mother in law. When I brought that to their attention they got mad! I was trying to explain it and they said I paid before taking them out- which isn't true. My MIL was about to pay for the same peppers that I just paid for! The guy threw $2 at me and said "Here!" So incredibly rude and I really don't recommend this place. Other family owned farms are nicer people and they are happy to have guests. Here, we seemed to inconvenience them because they were so busy. Take your business elsewhere. read more

This is a fun location for all at any time of the year. Fall is my favorite time and for about $25 per person you can go through some really nice fall activities. We didn't come here to do that. We came here to visit the food trucks. There is plenty of parking on property and off in a field. They have police on board to monitor the crowd and make sure that people are safe when walking from the field to the farm. The inside of the market is busy. We came here during their pumpkin patch event because my wife, Karen, wanted to go to the Cousins of Maine Lobster truck. It was pretty busy, so we had to park in the grass on the side, but the inside store wasn't packed as it usually can be. We didn't go inside the patch, but I'm sure it would have been a lot of fun. We browsed the market and I picked up fresh watermelon juice for Karen. My daughter and I have been here before and liked the options that they had. A few days ago my husband was grilling some barbecue chicken and I noticed he wasn't using the barbecue sauce we already had opened in the refrigerator so I asked where he got it from. Turns out it was a Bedners brand one that he bought when we were there a couple months ago . It was delicious. It reminds me of our last visit to the store. First they were being extra careful with COVID so they limited how many people were in the store, they requested people use the hand sanitizer and they made you put on giant plastic gloves that they handed us. They were huge but its all to keep us all safe and prevent the spread. We loved the produce selection but I ended up buying more salad dressing and other sauces, breads and wine. We even got a little pastry and frozen juice to refresh with outside. The outdoors here offer a bunch of entertainment (mostly for the kids) but sadly most is closed right now and I assume because of COVID. Can't wait to return and try more goodies. read more

I've had numerous people tell me to visit Bedner's Market; makes sense since my favorite department of any grocery store is the produce department. I already have a couple of my preferred produce shops/markets but since we were in the area I figured, lets finally check out Bedners. First impression was the property was very clean and impressive; truly loved the barn look to the store. Outside of the shop, the gardens are colorful and maintained and the front of the shop also has tons of wicker bins of special/clearance items and wood crates to sell herbs/plants. With COVID still ruling our lives, it was nice to see they are taking it very serious and have strict guidelines above the government requirements. They require fresh gloves that they provide you upon entry but you have to wait your turn in a socially spaced line since they limit the number of shoppers. They also offer a clean cart or basket to every customer too. Inside they have tons of fruits and veggies as expected, but also had plenty of baked goods (the breads were/are amazing), lots of unique sauces/marinades/dressings (we bought a few as if they were impulse items at the cash register), lots of choices of honey, wines, fresh squeezed juices and even had boiled peanuts; and on the way out, I couldn't resist getting a frozen juice (like a slurpee with real juice but tons of sugar I'm sure). We actually ended up buying so much more than we planned (or needed); loved the dressing and barbecue sauces we got and the breads; fruits/veggies were fresh. Overall loved all the goods but it is a bit expensive. Outside the building is where they grab attention of the kids with a petting zoo on the weekends, a make-believe gold mining operation for the kids to try panning for gold, rubber ducky races and other entertainment; unfortunately none were operating when we were there (I assume due to COVID). They do offer U-Pick-It produce fields but also not operating when we were there. They did have some vendors selling goods in the parking lot and there was a food truck with some awesome smelling BBQ. And being a contractor that has always fancied John Deere over Caterpillar... loved the vintage John Deere farm equipment and benches. read more
