During the installation, he bragged about how door installation was his forte. When he left, I thought all was well and he asked me to leave a review. A few months later I had a football game party and a couple of guys noted the extremely shoddy workmanship of the installation of the door. I felt really duped by Don Bellehumeur. One of the guys even found where he screwed up and instead of correcting it, he went ahead and proceeded to deceive me. I contacted Menards because that is where I purchased the door and that is where I was given Don's contact information. Menards asked for photos of the poorly installed door and they then met with Don to see if they could come up with some sort of resolution. The Menards store manager then contacted me and told me Don refused to do the right thing and re install the door. To Menards credit, they did tell me they will never do business with "Don's Home Improvement" again and will never recommend him to another customer. I now have to have the door reinstalled all at my expense. In the meantime and until the weather improves, I have a door through which you can see daylight and on which the deadbolt is not properly aligned, raising safety concerns. Run, don't walk, away fron this guy. He's got a real line of bull. And to all those females out there and not so handy men, beware of these types of contractors who will take advantage of anyone that doesn't know the difference between a reputable contractor and a shyster like Don Bellehumeur. "Don's Home Improvement" he's not!

They made me feel like my small job was their number one priority. That is super rare these days! First Dan and Scott came and checked out the work needed. They had some great suggestions on preventive maintenance we could do in the future. Then Victor and his son came and did the repairs. They are so professional and super friendly and the results were fantastic. It looks as perfect as the day it was originally done. You cannot tell that any patch work was done at all. And in typical Exceptional One style, they went beyond the list that I prepared and corrected things that I missed. I am sitting here looking at it now and could not be happier. They replied, one showed up and never heard back, one texted and promised to send someone, and the rest thoroughly bombed with no follow through whatsoever. THEN...I found Workman's. They stayed with me from start to finish. My city was slow on the permit, but this company stayed on it!! Once the permit was done, my fence and a few other odd jobs were done in less than two days.
