I have had therapists and home health go in and they have all told me that that is one of the cleanest and friendly places they have been in. The food is home cooked and my dad is always telling me what he had for dinner and how good it was. They always have him well groomed and send me pictures of him during celebrations or if he is getting a spa day. Eveytime I visit I am greeted like family and he is always happy and well cared for. I highly recommend Burbank Manor.

The staff is top notch @ Mirabel, Dee and Lori are so easy to work with in getting things for my dads needs and intake manager Josh goes way beyond the call of duty to insure the safety of the residents there. They were all just evacuated from the recent lightening fire to house in Cloverdale, and i needed to bring Josh some shipped items and found that he not only escorted his people there, but moved into the temp housing to make sure everyone was comfortable and didn't feel misplaced. Dad has dementia and was convinced he was on a cruise while @ Mirabel, and always let us know how happy he was there. Kudos to Mirabel! When allowed Mirabel brings in an assortment of musical entertainment for the people to enjoy.

They raised prices, the staff is not trained in caregiving, and they are nice but young. Currently, there is no director they have another from Sonoma filling in. The residents notice a difference. The fire alarms don't work there are notices to call 911 in case of fire. The carpets in the common areas are gross, the food is subpar, Melvin who was in charge of the dining room left a few months ago; he always made sure to welcome everyone, have fun banter, no more of that. Anna Bell, Allezmoy, they are gone too. I always felt secure knowing my mom was taken care of when they were employed there. It is actually depressing. They have no more piano player, exercise cancels frequently. The billing office is ridiculous; the invoices are different every month by a thousand dollars. I am moving my mom sadly. We used to love Cogir but the last 3 months or so it has gone downhill rapidly

I shared many meals with them and although they were pleased, I was very disappointed by the quality of the food--really horrible. Also, the limitations on the space allowed are profound. No one person allowed to live in a 2-bedroom apt, no matter their willingness or ability to pay. I have heard good things about their newer assisted living premises, but reviews do not seem to support that impression. I am an old Quaker and AFSC employer and am way disappointed by the above concerns.

The staff, for the most part, was insensitive to her needs (often short with her) and one aide grabbed her and caused bruises on her arm. If your parent or loved one is living here be aware and involved with their care (daily visits). Exception...Miguel is a sweetheart and is the one bright light of care and compassion! I want to add that, although we had problems with some staff and admin.... the people who live here are wonderful and the activities are plentiful!!!

The owner of the facility, Ethel Pruitt, runs a very clean and caring home and we have been very pleased with the Live Oak Rest Home ever since. It is also about half the cost of what the nursing home charged and my mother-in-law, who is now over 100 years old and who suffers from severe dementia, is very comfortable living here.

She is engaged, loved on, and all her need are met daily! The staff is kind, thoughtful and always very helpful. The care staff at Brookdale Chanate is top notch. My mother-in-law now needs memory care, and Wow I'm so impressed with the Clare Bridge team that keep her taken care of, take her out for daily walks, help her engage in sing-a-longs and all together make sure she is living her "best" life!"

Clearwater at Sonoma Hills targets families in crisis and withholds critical information until it's too late. I have filed a formal complaint with the California Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD). Sales Director H***** Sch**** pressured us by saying they only had one room left, and "I needed to grab it", then quickly collected our $8,455 from me with a written promise the deposit was "100% refundable." The place was always empty, which should have been my first clue, despite reading about some other bad experiences I naivly gave over my our retirement money under duress. She never once mentioned a refund timeline or any conditions before, during, or at the time of payment, despite having SO many opportunities, which is misleading at best, if not downright unscrupulous and intentional omission AKA LYING! My mother has Alzheimer's. Ho***e had met her in person multiple times before taking our money. When a nurse conducted a formal assessment, it was immediately clear my mother needed memory care, not assisted living ...something any industry professional who had spent time with her should have known. We were steered into a placement that was never appropriate just so they could hold a large sum of cash and likely reinvest it and make money off our backs, all while we were in CRISIS. Only after I requested the refund did H****E reveal for the first time that processing takes "3-4 weeks, sometimes more" !!! WTF Every interaction following was dismissive and COLD. A follow-up went completely unanswered. I was forced to file a credit card dispute because I was accruing interest on $8,500 for TWO BILLING CYCLES while paying out of pocket for emergency in-home care. Clearwater's response? MY dispute will delay the refund even further! Blame shift much?! This is a pattern. Large deposits collected from desperate families. Material information deliberately withheld. Zero urgency when it's time to give the money back...sound familiar? If you are considering this facility, look up their inspection history at ccld.dss.ca.gov (license #496803860) and do not pay a deposit without getting every condition and timeline in writing first. Whenever I visit, the residents are happy and are attended to quickly by the staff. The food is really good and the menu is always changing. The new actvities director is helpful and engaging. This place lacks leadership, not enough staff, no activities, no communication. Place smelled of urine, and feces when residents weren't taken care of. Residents were yelling for help and not one helped them. The front desk is vacant a lot or answered the phone. They promised outings for the residents. I've never seen the bus leave its parking spot in months. They currently have no one running the facility, No licensed person running the facility. We supplied them with a list of complaints that no one ever responded to. After 3 months we moved our loved one from their care. Ask a lot of questions, they sell a good product but in the end they don't produce a good product. Hopefully they get it together if not they should shut down.
