I was fortunate to discover Zina for my jewelry repair after years of being ripped off at other establishments. They have done excellent repair work on my fine jewelry as well as the cheap costume jewelry I bring back from Croatia each year (including this one). They are the most fair and reasonable place I've found, and the people who work there are just the very best, including Lee and Dorian (I hope I'm spelling the names right). I've been very pleased with them for several years now, but I recently had an experience which prompted me to put them here on Yelp, where I see they have not had a presence until now. Having just returned from Croatia (again) and having had some issues with jewelry that I purchased as well as a pair of earrings I had from before which broke when I was there, I went over to Zina to ask them to repair the items. I spoke with Dorian, who took the items and told me she'd phone me with estimates when she was able to see the repair person. She phoned later that day and told me the prices. I agreed to 2 of them, but the 3rd was more than I wanted to pay, since the item had been so cheap to begin with, and I am currently unemployed and can't afford any excess spending. Dorian phoned me the very next day to tell me my items were ready, and I went over to pick them up. She then proceeded to tell me that because they so appreciated any and all business, no matter how small, they had gone ahead and fixed the 3rd item for me as well, free of charge! I was so blown away and grateful for the kindness, that tears came to my eyes. That's the kind of thing that rarely happens in LA, though it does happen in Croatia! I took my 3 items, perfectly repaired, and walked out of there a very happy camper, determined to praise them on Yelp this time, something I'd been wanting to do for years anyway. I was surprised to not find them on here, and I hope this beginning review will be the first of many from customers as happy as I am. Although I have never purchased any jewelry from them, I am always amazed at how beautiful the items they have for sale are, as well. One day when I'm not unemployed, hopefully I'll be able to purchase and wear some of their beautiful jewelry. Great selection, great friendly staff, @Mel N.not sure who answered the phone for your call, but that was pretty terrible. I've never been treated that way at all. Anyway, lastly and most importantly, if you don't like what you see in the cases they will work with you to create something unique that fits your needs. This place is HUGE and carries much more than just jewelry, though the jewelry is top-notch. Zina has its own selection (mostly sterling silver), which I believe is made on the premises, but there are many other individual designers represented throughout the store. Everything here is in great taste. Aside from jewelry, Zina carries a surprisingly large selection of picture frames and kitchenware, along with vases, clocks, clothes and even toys! One-stop gift shopping, basically. Jerry, the very friendly and funny clerk, says "We have something for all budgets, from $20 to thousands." I believe it. Well worth a visit. read more

I recently "discovered" the Zina of Beverly Hills website. They have beautiful sterling jewelry at wonderful prices. I called to get clarification on a bracelet I was considering ordering and spoke to Andrew who is Zina's son. He was wonderful. He assisted me in chosing a different bracelet that more closely met my needs. I also e-mailed him because I needed 2 more links added so I sent it back and he was awesome with a 2 day turn around time and kept me updated via e-mail. The quality of the bracelet is very high end and I will definitely be a repeat customer. Anyone who is hesitant to deal with Zina's due to an earlier negative review should call Andrew personally. Worst service. Dealt with a very rude salesperson. Simply wouldn't buy anything from there just because of the bad service.

I just called there and was treated horribly rude. My boss found something on the website that he really wanted to get as a last minute gift for an anniversary (yikes!, right???) I was hoping to get some last minute help and was willing to spend a pretty large amount. I know it's annoying to be that "last minute person"... but another jewelry business was more than willing to accomodate and be understanding about it. That's their loss. The guy who answered the phone was very rude. My first question was, "I was checking to see if you had something in stock?" He replied, "For What?" I was a little taken aback by the rudeness, so I probably stuttered a bit. I described what the item was. He asked, "What is it?" I described the item again, based on the website description... "JUST WHAT IS IT????" I said, "It's on your website." He cut me off -- "We don't do that!" "You don't do what?" "WE DON'T DO WEBSITE ORDERS; YOU HAVE TO ORDER FROM THE WEBSITE...." CLICK. What a jerk. Unbelieveably rude. So rude that I've spread the word to the community and our entire office. NEVER ever shop at Zina. I understand now that they don't do website orders from the retail store... fine. But did he have to be so rude? I was looking for some last minute help for my boss so that he could pick it up and take it to the person as a surprise. Is that so hard to understand? Is that so much to ask of a retail store? It didn't have to be the EXACT item from the website. It could have been somthing similar if he just would have allowed me the chance. And he would have gotten an easy sale. I hope his boss reads this. I hope he reads it too. Screw Zina. I don't care how nice their jewelry is. If they are unwilling to sell it, what does it matter? read more

Okay, okay....so I can't control myself when I step into the store. I know it's proper to look the sales people in the eye when you speak with them, but I can't help myself. I have to constantly look into all the cases, there is so much variety, great designs. And I can tell you that I have shopped at Zina's for myself, as well as for friends and we are all happy.
