I keep very close tabs on my credit score through my credit card accounts, Credit Karma, MyFICO.com. My credit score averages 760. On Zing my score is 703. Something is wrong here. I read other reviews where customers said the same thing. Also, extremely bad customer service. Very long wait lines, agents who do not listen but just repeat an unrelated script. I would not encourage manager contact as they seem to only defend their poorly trained customer service agents. You will get off the phoen wishing you could get that hour of your life back. read more

I have been a member since this was Denver Federal Credit Union and have stayed a member as it went to Denver Community and now Zing. Ever since Zing took over the customer service is horrible. I filed a dispute on my account in December and still have not heard from anyone as to the outcome. I have been asked three different times to provide the same information that I gave when I filed the claim. Now for some reason Visa is involved even though this came out of my debit account. Since I was told Visa was now asking for this same information I've provided twice before it's been another month and still no information. I have only had to file a claim dispute one other time many years ago and Denver Community put it back in my account immediately. I was initially told the process could take several weeks they never mentioned it could take several months. read more

It is unacceptable to have your entire system offline for 3 days for an upgrade. Who ever made the decision to think it is okay to do this should be fired. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB as well and moving my accounts over to my other bank. read more

I've been trying to call the credit union for over 3 weeks now and I'm on constant hold. No one ever answers. I cannot get into my clients accounts. When I sign in to the accounts , I get an error message of "No account to display at this time". read more

The teller representatives are very helpful and friendly. The only negative thing I have to say is I do not like the newly installed door bell to push in order to enter the building. If too busy to allow you to enter you have to wait in all types of weather and it isn't handicap friendly if you have to stand long to enter. read more

I'm new to Colorado and have used other credit unions. This is the only one I care enough to give a good review. The welcome by David was warm and friendly. I received quick service. They have a paperless system which really gets the customer out with ease and quickness. I used the branch and met David for the first time about a month ago. Mentioned we are house hunting around Littleton. When I made a return visit, he was there, gave me great service with a smile and asked about how our house hunting was going! He had remembered me! I absolutely LOVE this location of DCCU! I recently moved south and was thinking of changing banks....even bought checks for another institution! Then, DCCU opened in Littleton, so I decided to stick it out.....and I am so happy that I did! The service that I receive there is second to none. The people who work there, especially Katie and Chris, are amazing! On a number of occasions, they've gone out of their way to help me. If you're thinking about getting their secured credit card... STOP! They do NOT report to all three major credit bureaus!!! The irony here is that their card touts as a credit building product to the community. When asked why they didn't report to all three bureaus, I was told, "there is no mandate that requires them to." There is zero need to consider this card, especially when there are many better options that report to all three bureaus as an essential service value to their credit building customers. I feel duped. Although, had I confirmed at the time, I'm sure they would have been entirely transparent about only reporting to two bureaus. My credit literacy was not where it could or should have been. I know much better now. Why Is This Important? Let's take mortgage lenders, for instance. We know that some of them (if not most) will take an aggregate score of all three bureaus to better land at a comprehensive view of your creditworthiness. On the other end, it is also true that some might look at all three but still have a strong preference for one over the other. The same can be true for other financial industries, whether that's personal loans, auto loans, business loans, and yes, applying for revolving credit loans/credit cards, etc. The reality is, there are far too many scenarios that can easily depend on how any one (or all) of the major bureaus views your creditworthiness. Handpicking which ones count and which don't is short of malpractice of their secured credit card that's put in front of the community as a credit building product/service. It's fascinating that anyone would have to make the case, plead even (as I certainly have), that reporting to all three bureaus is a good thing for the customer (and for the credit union). The nightmare gets even worse. I still have a secured credit card with a 2K limit (equaling the card's deposit). When I got the card, I asked them what the requirements were to have the deposit released, and the card converted to an unsecured card. They said I needed to have a credit score over 640 and have demonstrated a good history with them, most importantly and above all things. I got my score above 640, never missed a single payment, and carried a zero balance most of the time. Nonetheless, I was still denied my deposit release as they said I had too many inquiries on my report... "Check back again later," I was told. Some many months before that, I had gotten an auto loan to improve my credit mix - It worked like a charm; my credit score shot up over 60 points right after accepting the auto loan. However, it meant shopping for multiple lenders. While the various lenders hitting me with inquiries in the same relative period doesn't hurt your score, they still show on your credit report and stay there for two years. They know how that works, but I was still penalized in their decision. A year later, my score has improved another 100+ points placing me comfortably in the "Excellent" credit range. I know I would qualify to have the deposit released now. Yet I don't even want to ask because it will be another inquiry on my report, which will undoubtedly hurt my score. I'd rather them keep the 2K at this point, which I've just had to come to terms with. I can cancel the card and take my money, but that also hurts my credit because closing accounts ultimately reduces the avg. lifetime of your credit relationships. So, I'm stuck in a pickle, and can't feel more terrible about having decided to use their product. And it gets worse, frankly, but I've said enough. I've given a generous 2-star rating because I believe I am fair; I should have known better. On the other end, I cannot speak to their other services; hopefully, they are not representative of my experience. Curious to know which bureau they leave out of reporting? Call them and have them confess. A.) Be prepared to be underwhelmed with the explanation. B.) Good luck getting to speak to someone who can explain their decision (not just what the decision is, but why they have taken that position). read more
