Had a family member drop a car off to them. Basically gave him the run around and told him he needed a part that wasn't broken. After that they took an additional 3 days to fix the fuel pump that was actually broken. Better off going somewhere else. Either they are to busy to attend to their customers or they just don't care. My son's 2003 Honda was making a terrible noise for approximately 20 mins. when started on cold mornings. 3 very good mechanics suggested causes, but none were correct. One of the stumped mechanics suggested I take it to Zion Motors. One of Brent's mechanics listened for 10 seconds, pointed to 2 hoses and an o-ring on the power steering pump, said that's the problem. I was suspicious, but had been told that Brent and his people were not only very good, but totally honest. While repairing the problem, they also identified motor mounts and a control arm that need to be replaced. These 2 problems had been previously identified by another shop. They repaired these problems for less than previous estimates. I am now a forever customer. Additionally, my son's neighbors are also very happy because he goes to work at 4:30am. read more

I was passing through town and my check engine light came on. My fuel injector failed. Took it to Zion motors and although they were super busy, they helped me out anyway and replaced the fuel injector within a couple of hours. Super nice guys. The only thing worse than having a car break down is to have it happen while you are traveling. I was referred to this shop and glad I took my truck to them. Although I needed a new motor and had to wait for it to arrive from California, the guys at the shop really took care of me. Brent knew I had been hold up in a motel during a quarantine and was going stir crazy. When they found out the motor would arrive, they started taking things apart to prepare for the new motor. That saved me a lot of time on waiting. These guys are great and provide excellent and honest customer service. read more

I had a throttle body failure in my 2017 Ford Expedition and needed the car to take wife to SLC doctor. Called Ford dealership and they said they could get to it 10 days out----at their shop in Mesquite. Called Zion Motors and they said they were awfully busy but would try to cut me in since I really needed the car to go to SLC. They fixed the car the next day and we made the doctor's appointment on the following day. Zion Motors will be my go to mechanic. Great service and job well done. read more

I have been getting my truck worked on and sending people to Zion Motors for the last two years and have never been happier with their service. Randy is a friendly Service Advisor and Todd is the mechanic I always have work on my truck or my friends vehicles. About 2 years ago I heard that Todd was a mechanic from his wife when my ex's car broke down. He paid a personal visit to help out because I knew his wife. He diagnosed a bad belt tensioner in 30 seconds and I told him I can fix it. Ever since then I've always sent people to him. His next job I sent him was a Nissan Frontier with a broken timing chain guide that tore up the motor. He did all the work on that and some additional must attend to items. That was over 2 years ago and that Frontier is still running like a champ without any problems. He's done various timing belts, water pumps power steering pumps, lines, etc. and anything that is above my ability to do or rather I wouldn't do in some cases. In my eyes, there aren't many mechanics like Todd and shops like Zion Motors. Do yourself a favor and request Todd to work on your car rather than have issues with some of the bad shops in town. read more

Traveling in our motorhome and camping nearby, we noticed a problem with our Subaru "toad" car. Calling early on a Wednesday, Brent told us to bring it in as soon as possible. I didn't have much interaction with the staff due to having to leave my car in Saint George after the clutch went out because I had to make it back up north for work. They were nice to talk to on the phone and very willing to help me out and were great at calling me up to keep me in the loop. Their pricing is very fair. I contacted multiple shops in the area and most places offered me a quote in the area of $900-$1,200. Zion's total to fix my car (after all the fees and tax) was $690. They also had my car fixed within 40 hours of dropping it off. read more

If you have an old diesel (and any gas vehicle I can imagine) this is the shop you want. I have an 88' econonline with the 7.3L IDI, and these guys were more than generous spending time with me to share their knowledge of this old motor and look under the hood with me so I can better understand what was going on, why they chose to do their specific repairs, and how to service it down the road. What makes this shop special is that I got to speak directly with the mechanic working on the vehicle. Any other shop would have been justified with getting impatient with me, but they were genuinely happy to satisfy my curiosity since I do a lot of work on my vehicle myself. 6-stars. read more

TL;DR: They charged me $100 to incorrectly diagnose an issue as being a bad catalytic converter, despite me telling them to check the timing belt, which later proved to be the real issue. I replaced the clutch on my car myself, and after getting it all put back together, it was lacking in power. After a bit of research, I found that this was most likely an issue with the timing belt. I needed to leave town that weekend, and didn't have time to fix that part myself, so I brought it in to Zion Motors. I told them the situation, and that I wanted them to look at the timing belt first, as that's what I suspected to be causing the issue. Later that afternoon they called me and said that they hadn't looked at the timing belt, but found the issue to be my catalytic converter. I was doubtful, as the catalytic converter worked fine before, and is not connected to the clutch directly at all. They charged me $100 for this diagnostic work that I didn't ask for, then I had to pay another $100 to rent a tow dolly to get it across the state in time for school. After taking it to a shop in Logan, it turned out that the issue was the timing belt, exactly as I suspected. Hard to recommend a shop that doesn't do what I asked for, then charges me for the work that I didn't ask for. read more

We were in the middle of a 7 hour road trip when our Subaru developed a thumping in the front. We stopped in Zion Motors and Dan was able to get our car looked at right away. The mechanic Troy did a test drive with us and was like a detective trying to solve a case. It was fun to watch him figure out the problem. They got us back on the road within about 20 minutes. About a week ago my niece was in a horrible accident outside of St George. A couple days after the accident we summoned the courage to go look at the car. Zions was closed at the time so we knew we would just have to peek through the fence. One of the owners (?) happened to be there dropping off another car and asked us if we wanted to come in to see the mangled wreckage. It was a horrible traumatic experience to be so close to the car that our loved one almost lost her life in. He and his wife were so patient even though I'm sure they wanted to be at home. They let us cry and take pictures and helped us try to pull some of her belongings out. The car was so smashed that we were unable to get much out so he went and got the fork lift and pried the back end open so we could get her bags. They were so sensitive and compassionate in such an emotional situation for us. We just couldn't thank them enough for taking the time to help us through a very tough experience. I highly recommend this company and know that if I'm ever in town and needed anything like this again I wouldn't think twice about using them. Since my last post, I sent my Bronco into the repair shop who has worked on the vehicle for the past three years. I explained the problems I was experiencing as well as informing them of the recent transmission repair. At this point I must say that I did receive a reply e-mail from Zion Motors informing me that they did not do any work on my transmission but did work on my transfer case. Making a long story short as it turns out there was never a transmission problem (or transfer case). I had numerous other sensor issues and a short which was causing this jerking which I perceived to be rapid up and down shifting of the transmission. An apology to Zion Motors for falsely pointing the finger at them. However I still feel that the tow charge should have been waived since they got the repair business, and Zion did question wheather or not the grease stain did actually occur at their shop. Enough said. Zion did help tremendously in my hour of need. read more
