Poor quality service, lousy washes, no vacuums at some locations (who would believe that at least two locations had the existing vacuums ripped out and replaced with....nothing. What kind of car wash doesn't have vacuums...car washes ran by fools, that's who) To boot, the old Blue Iguana( Meramec Bottom location) had some sort of machine issue and damaged my car. Do not waste your money. Our vehicles driver side mirror was knocked off by their dryers. They have been unresponsive in their reply to the matter. We have had a membership for years and are very disappointed in the way this has been handled. To be honest, it seems like they could care less. I am writing this review about the Zips on Tesson Ferry in St Louis MO. My husband & I both have a monthly subscription on both of our cars. We pay a total for both cars of $55.00. Today we both went & had our cars washed. There were 3 employees working that are useless. They lack any type of customer service. Did not engage in any way with either of us. When entering the car wash they don't spray down the front or rear of the cars. The car wash doesn't rinse off the soap. The dryer doesn't dry your car. They car wash doesn't clean your car. When we came home we spent 30 minutes on each car cleaning the dirt of the cars then drying them. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS CAR WASH. WE WILL BE CANCELLING. read more

This response must be an automated response because I have several tickets that were created and got the same response indicating that they will check into the status and would receive no response further. There is no way to directly contact the claims department. Every time I reached out by my ticket claim I would receive the same response and the process would start all over again or it would say the claim has been closed. I still have not received the money they owe me for the damage of my vehicle. It is obvious to me now that they have no intentions on resolving this. I am being forced to consult with an attorney now. This was the first time I ever used their car wash and it destroyed my vehicle and their employee witnessed it. The company agreed they were at fault after I filed my claim but have not followed through. I hope this helps anybody who is reading these reviews about this company. What happened to your responsible employees who assisted customers? When did the employees stop spraying the cars prior to entering the car wash? Today, a customer in a handicapped vehicle was struggling to get the screen to process his request. One employee is on his cell and two others were in the building. I had a similar experience that others had with the "car washes for a month" thing. I got no receipt, no paperwork, and zero explanation that they would be signing me up and charging me $35 a month. I didn't even realize that they wrote down my credit card #. The wash isn't that good and the vacuums were not in good working condition when I tried to use them. Absolutely terrible car wash. the attendants were friendly and even allowed me to go back through after paying 15 dollars for a car wash that included "wheels". Even after a second wash there was still gunk all over my wheels. Bird poop on the side of my door and regular marks on my windshield STILL did not come off after TWO 15 dollar car washes. It's only been about 10 days since my last wash (not at a zips) so it's safe to say I was very disappointed. read more

Here is a full review of the terrible car wash I received: You pull up to the automatiated kiosk only to be nickel and dimed into a decent car wash: the basic wash is $7 but you can add this for $3, that for $3 (and trust me the $7 wash won't get your car clean, or even get all of the soap off it for that matter). Then you pull up to the car wash entry and they do not pre spray your car. Nothing I love more than a dry car going through the wash and potentially messing up the paint. The soap and water dispensed on your car when you are in the car wash is also minimal. As I go through, im thinking: whoever owns this car wash now is incredibly cheap. Once I was finished my car still had bird poop and soap all over it. An idea for the management: why make a $7 car wash that doesn't even get your car clean? Make the basic wash more expensive and actually include some of the things that you are trying to charge an extra $3 for. TLDR: this car wash is terrible. Just wash it yourself. read more

Really disappointed that they will not honor previously purchased Rain Tunnel cards. Many people buy them for gifts and are just getting around to using them with the snowy weather we've been having. There was no visible signage posted from the road stating that they were going to no longer be honoring the Rain Tunnel cards. Money wasted. Very disappointed in the transition from Rain Tunnel to Zips. We gifted Rain Tunnel cards and now totally embarrased our family and friends cannot use them. Very poor. Used to go there when it was rain tunnel express. I have a few of their car wash coupons left and need to use them up pretty quick. I've noticed that just recently the amount of water they are using is absolutely insufficient. This last time the attendant did not even wet the hood or the trunk of my car and there was absolutely no water or lubrication of any sort before the car hit the first set of brushes. I don't know if this new management thinks that that is acceptable but it is not for me. On top of that they raise their price and are trying to get people to buy their more advanced carwashes. But even when I tried one of those the car went through the whole thing and had residual soap on the glass in the rearview mirror's. Wow. I guess zips bought out the people that had several washes. I was only familiar with 3 locations. Watson in Crestwood, Gravois and Tesson Ferry. They were all good, in my opinion. Zips apparently installed some "better", actually worse equipment. It's upsetting to see a business that I liked so much go to hell. My car has not been clean since z' s took over. Always residue, soap and untouched areas. I bought a monthly membership and there was always a mountain of confusion with them trying to squeeze additional charges out of me. Was a long time customer of Rain Tunnel Express at this location. Unfortunately they were sold to Zip's. I could never have imagined how great a negative impact that sale would have. Loved Rain Tunnel as customer service was great, would always pre-spray car before wash, plenty of great smelling soap and water used, car came out clean, pricing (especially when you purchased their money saver cards at 1/2 price) was fair. Well all of that ended with the sale. They changed the whole washing system and the new seems to be much rougher on the vehicle (in fact, it ripped off one of my rear mud guards), they no longer pre-treat the vehicle, the soap actually stinks so maybe it is good that they barely use any, the rinse is poor and my vehicle is no where near as clean. To make matters worse, the price is higher and even worse they stopped honoring the money saver cards from Rain Tunnel Express. Very poor decision to stop honoring the cards as I know many folks including myself and 5 members of my family that were left stuck with the cards that they had purchased.
