Zoe was very nimble in her approach, she listened and steered us in the right direction for every decision to make sure our day would turn out just as (or even better!) than we had imagined. During the actual wedding day she made everything look effortless and we barely had to pay attention to any of the logistics of the day. At no point were we worried that something was not going to happen or happen as planned. Zoe knows all of the vendors in town and they all know her. This goes a long way. If you need something, she knows someone who can do it. Zoe is a familiar face to all of the vendors and they all seem to enjoy working with her and each other, which adds to the magic of the wedding atmosphere. And because she knows all the local vendors, she was able to foresee any potential challenges of the day and take care of them well in advance without us even needing to think about it. Beginning a year out and two years into the pandemic, I appreciated Zoe's thorough event plans and venue walkthroughs in preparation for our almost 200-person wedding. From having multiple local connections and familiarity with our vendors (venue, rentals, catering, florist, cake) to providing her own set-up and bartending crew to anticipating issues and problem-solving for them, Zoe took so much of the typical wedding planning stress off our plates. I'm so glad we had Sarah Sharaf (and Zoe Braga events) to coordinate our wedding. She was a huge help in planning: she helped us pick food (appetizers, drinks, and dinner), event rentals (tables, chairs, decor), and she even found us a new reception venue just months before the date. She made sure the wedding day went forward without a hitch: contracting and supervising additional staff, picking up and storing the flowers, picking up drinks and appetizers, supervising the dropoff and set up of rental equipment at multiple locations, receiving family and guests, and cleaning up afterwards. While we only had Zoe "officially" for the month leading up to the wedding, we met with her 10 months out to do a venue walkthrough, and she did check-ins a few times leading up to the month-of, both to make sure we were on-track and could help provide advice on some of the things we had no expertise in (how much time does it take for people to eat dinner? how do we move everyone inside after happy hour?).  We got married on November 2nd, 2019, which for anyone that lives in California, you'll remember as falling at the tail-end of a 6-day PG&E forced power outage through most of Northern California, including Mendocino. This meant that in the week leading up to our wedding, we had vendors back out who could no longer get supplies to the area in time, meaning we had to come up with quick alternate options, and make a mitigation plan in case the power didn't come back online, all without power through the area. Zoe was truly a lifesaver, staying in touch with all of our vendors/hotels to get a pulse on what things we're looking like, and finding a last-minute dessert option through her local connections in the Mendocino community. Technically, Zoe was the day-of coordinator for our October 2013 wedding; in reality, she was much more than that. So if anything threatened to go awry, she fixed it before it had a chance to cause trouble. We hired Zoe to plan our wedding at the Harbor House in Elk, CA, and she did an amazing job! Zoe helped us plan an entire weekend of activities at the Apple Farm (welcome event), a tea ceremony, the wedding at Harbor House, and a farewell brunch. It was a beautiful, elegant and amazing weekend. Zoe has a very strong network in the Mendocino area, and was able to recommend many high quality vendors at reasonable prices, which made the planning process much easier. She was also able to leverage her relationships to get specific rentals, deliveries, etc. which otherwise would have been difficult. Zoe is very resourceful, and when we faced issues such as policy changes at our venue, she stayed positive and worked out solutions to ensure we could execute on our vision. Zoe stays calm under pressure, and she was always constructive in working to realize our plans, even when some of the items we wanted to do were complex, unique, and required significant logistical planning. Due to Covid we decided to postpone our big wedding plans for a mini special ceremony and tea party. I reached out to Zoe as we were looking to hold our intimate ceremony in Elk, Mendocino and immediately connected with her. She was incredibly flexible and open to helping us create an unconventional micro wedding and helped me brainstorm how to turn my creative vision into a reality. As far as pre planning, she was an excellent communicator, extremely organized and alleviated much stress from the planning process. I always felt confident that she was on it and I could trust her to get things done all in a very short timeline. She even let us borrow a table and table cloth from her to use for our setup. She was professional and easy to work with and flexible which was super important as our event location ended up changing the night before the big day.
