My only negative thing I have to say is I wish they allowed you to tip via receipt or Apple Pay. I'm traveling from the U.S. and don't have cash or pesos. I have had many good experiences here. This last pedicure was not only the most painful, but as I jumped at abrasive treatment the attendant kept going just as hard with no apologies. She was on the lower level and the one time I was down there before I had a pretty bad experience as well. If you go, only use the spa on the second floor. I don't know what it is for that lower level but even the atmosphere is not good in that small space. And the chair didn't work either. Bad experience all around read more

I love this place as it is just a few block from the mall. I have always walked in for a pedicure and have never waited more than 5 minutes. They have lots of girls working. I get a pedicure with gel polish and they also use the sea salt scrub. They take their time while I sit in a massage chair. The price for that is $27 and I tip $5. That same type pedicure by my house if over $50. And a long wait. I go to TJ on average every 6 weeks. My dog goes to the groomer ($15) and I get pampered at a few places such as Zoe's. Most of the girls only speak Spanish and I do not. Just a few words here and there. Yet we seem to be able to communicate with each other just fine lol read more

This is the second time I come here. I always check yelp reviews prior but this time I didn't. The first time I came service was okay--they did a good job with their work (gel manicure) however it was very awkward the whole time even when I tried making convo. Also, prices were sketchy. This second time I came to bring my mom for an acrylic fill. I asked the woman who checked my mom in for a price and she thought for a second and gave her response. Upon arriving with the nail tech, after speaking to my mom about color selection, she asked if we had already discussed pricing. She asked what price they told us then added additional for either wanting regular polish or gel. Total was almost double what we originally were quoted. I came onto yelp after to read reviews and am now convinced that pricing varies depending on who knows what--it should be dependent on the quality of work and time not how they're feeling or their own personal judgment. I got my nails done on Monday 8/6 & today on Wednesday 8/8 my nails started lifting and polish on my toes stared lifting . Today 8/9 my polish on my thumb and pinky toe fell off.. unacceptable gel manicures easily last me two weeks regardless of what I do ( clean ,wash my car ,wash the dogs,etc ) . Came in for a gel pedicure. They took me right away, even though the place is very busy. A lot of women are receiving hat and vail services. It's very clean and bright here. Radio is playing. Comfortable chairs with a massager for pedicure treatment. A lot of colours to pick from. Nail girls are very professional, they doing their work very fast. The front desk is very polite. I have been a customer for years. Each time i return im charged a different price for either hair or manicures. It didnt bother me at first because i liked my hair each time. But my gel manicures were always done by mad faced jealous looking gale eyed employees. I hated making eye contact or even making conversation because of their attitudes! The manicurist tools are filthy they use and reuse the dusty grainy used tools without properly sanitizing them. Each time i went in for gel manicure the tools were just sitting their full of nail dust from previous customers. Its was dirty and grainy. I thankfully never got infected but its not worth putting your health at risk especially when you have some rude and mad faced employeee jabbing at your cuticles. They have unfair business practices! Made an appointment early in the day for a gel mani/pedi for myself and a gel mani for my daughter at noon. Came from San Diego and arrived right at noon. There is complimentary valet parking out in front and so parking was a breeze! However, upon arrival, my daughter was taken in right away and I ended up waiting 30 minutes until she was done to get my service started. Turns out that the girl (rubi) who did my daughters nails, cut her during with the drill during removal of her gel and didn't apologize, stop to put medicine or check how my daughter was doing or even acknowledge what she had done! After my manicure, which the same girl did (rubi) I went to pay, not wanting to get a pedicure from the girl. After I told girl at the front desk, Scarlet, what happened and that I just wanted to pay for my manicures, Scarlet offered to give a discount on my daughters service and have another girl complete my pedicure instead. I agreed and my pedicure was terrific. Because of that and Scarlett's offer I am giving the salon 2 stars. I'm sure they are trying their best to give great service but when you have one girl who is rude and doesn't care, it ruins it for the whole salon. Thank you scarlet for listening and caring. I was happy, not only because of the price but my nails look great, and the service was good. To my surprise they also had permanent laser hair removal (IPL) for a really, really, really! affordable price. Im defiantly taking them up on that service. Scarlett is the best I've gone with a couple of the other girls but once I went with Scarlett I can't go with anyone else. All the other girls go to her for advice. Made an appointment a few hours ago. It was super nice to get seen the same day. My sister and I both came to cut and dye our hair which the price is very reasonable as we both have thick and very long hair (down to our butts). Both the ladies were super nice to us. They were able to figure out what I wanted to do with my sisters hair as it was her first time dying her hair and was unsure as to how she wanted it to look like. After about two hours of being there our hairs looks amazing. We were both in love with our new looks. I am definitely coming back to this place to do my hair again. I also want to come back to be able to do my nails as they also offer to do your nails there. I was referred by a client at the Immunity Therapy Center were my husband is getting cancer treatment after complimenting her hair. I had requested highlights with a picture shown to the lady whom was going to do my hair named by Jasmine. Apparently the con was not understanding the language and not speaking it, despite I had shown the lady a picture of how'd I like my hair done and she agreed. It so happens she did the highlights far the worst Ive ever had done by this place, she actually didn't even do any touch up by the roots, and left spots of my hair not done from the back. She did so many different shades, spent too many hours (about 5 hours) and was very very rough with pulling my hair from the scalp. I had far the worst experience out of my 38 year of life. She was never gentle terribly rough pulling and tugging my hair even when dying it and while straightening it out using a hair dryer. She pulled so much of my hair out despite my hair has already been thinning out. I was left with a miserable headache and wanted to cry so badly, but that would've been my weakness. Having done the worst highlights she at first told me it would cost me $3,800 pesos, later after my hair was done and I was going to go pay at the counter it turns out that I would only end up paying $1,800 pesos still for the job she did of messing my hair up its $100 American dollars not worth it at all. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They also talk aloud among themselves stair at you like a stranger in Spanish and start laughing aloud. Its annoying to be treated this way by anyone. Jasmine is not a hair stylist she bascially practiced doing highlights on my hair. I will be going back in order for her to fix my hair for the money she charged me. On top of it I even gave her a tip out of my goodness. UGH!!! FYI Good luck to any other females whom get there hair done at this place. Update: When I went back the next day, they actually had an English speaking gentleman whom actually knew what happened the day before when I got my highlights done and he was very apologetic offered me to have my highlights fixed and a free set of gel nails although I still had to pay $500 pesos for the labor. I thought to myself well its the best offer and of course its better than nothing. This time around thank god it wasn't Jasmine apparently touching my hair again, they had Samantha fix my highlights she did an amazing job, was very gentle, treated my hair and gave the best head massage. I felt relaxed and calm. And my gel nails were done just as great as my hair. read more
