Hiring Zoe was hands down one of the best decisions my wife and I made in 2025. From the first reply, to being hand-held every step of the way, to receiving the final product. Perfection. My fiancée (now wife) and I were running short on time with finalizing our elopement date as well as alllll of the other planning details that go into that including finding a photographer. After months of researching potential contenders on Google, Yelp, and Instagram, I kept coming back to one photographer who (at the time) I didn't realize was the same one my fiancée had already said was her number one choice months back. We're both very thorough in decisions that we make to ensure the outcome is the best one for us, and in this case, our requirements were that the photographer had to be: a woman, POC, and LGBTQ+ friendly and within our budget. One night (1.5 months before our wedding date), after staring, researching, and comparing some more, I was finally ready to make a decision. My husband found Zoe via a google search and we both were impressed with her timeless photography. It was a pleasure working with Zoe--she made the entire process incredibly easy. My husband and I had no prior experience being photographed professionally so we were a bit camera shy in the beginning, however, we became increasingly comfortable as the shoot progressed thanks to Zoe's guidance and direction. We found Zoe after deciding to fly from out of town, have our wedding ceremony at SF City Hall, and watching her Youtube videos for more information. Her knowledge and experience came through clearly, and her advice helped us so much to organize our wedding with confidence. We had a much better understanding of things like the online booking system, when we could/should book, what ceremony times during the day tended to be more favorable. So many things we never would've considered on our own. From there, we looked at her website, found even more valuable guidance, and got a feel for her style of photography, and decided to reach out and check her availability. From the first email, she made us feel like we were working with a professional. Her communications were always clear and prompt, and she makes an effort to really understand the wants of the couple in planning out the types of photos desired. She had things very well planned out, taking us around to different areas inside and outside of the building to get many of the beautiful types of shots we planned to capture (e.g. Grand Staircase, Memorial Court, Ring closeups). She navigated us through the building with expert efficiency, even with many other photography sessions happening at the same time, and trying to capture many of the same photos in the same spots. Posing for the photos felt very natural, as much as they can, thanks to Zoe's prompts even for the two of us being more shy/reserved. Our friends & family who attended the ceremony and were directed by Zoe for specific group photos also had so much glowing feedback about her. In particular her positive demeanor, professionalism, familiarity with the venue. She kept coming up in casual conversation, unprompted, even well after we finished our photography session and left City Hall. We paid extra for a Sneak peek (a small set of photos within a week) and we were so delighted that the photos were delivered within days. Likewise, the full gallery of photos (to have been delivered within 6 weeks) were also delivered ahead of schedule! The photos were more than we could have hoped for and we were incredibly pleased with the final product. We hired Zoe as our wedding photographer and she was amazing! We found Zoe after searching SF City Hall on instagram. One thing we really liked about her wedding photography was that she serves a lot of queer couples (who look like they're having a good time -- at least in the photos)! We wanted a small elopement with just the two of us. Zoe would be serving as our photographer and also our witness (you need at least one of those). We had a fantastic day. Zoe was totally receptive towards us doing an adventurous photoshoot. Zoe guided us expertly through the city hall procedure and took some romantics before and during the ceremony. Then we rode a historic tram, visited the cable car turnaround, rode MUNI to Dolores Park, and got some pretty photos next to some of the plants in Dolores Heights. Finally, we read our vows to each other (her idea to make vow books!), and by that time it was over! Things went more or less according to our loose plans, which she helped us with. There was a lot of spontaneity, and she totally rolled with it. For example, we weren't expecting the MUNI to be full of high school kids on a field trip, but she did a great job photographing the ride through it all anyways! We loved the ways that Zoe posed and prompted us. She captured candid moments of joy, but that wasn't too hard because we were full of joy all day.
